Here are various articles talking about all Sightings and Unconfirmed Sightings of Dylan
________________________________________
11-20-12
A postal worker possibly saw the boy Monday on County Road 501, near Vallecito, and two rescue workers may have seen the boy Tuesday afternoon, said Dan Bender, spokesman with the La Plata County Sheriff’s Office. Both sightings are unconfirmed, and, in both cases, the boy ran from rescue workers up a hill in the Vallecito area, Bender said. “We’re assuming at this point – it may be Dylan – eluded searchers,” he said. “We’re leaning toward his being a runaway.”

11/21/12
Two rescue workers said they possibly saw him on separate occasions Tuesday afternoon, but he fled into the forest. Bender said Wednesday one of the sightings turned out to be a jogger; the second may have been the same jogger or Dylan.

11/25/12
At the same time, authorities are looking to talk to two boys who were spotted by a female postal worker northbound about 2 p.m. Nov. 19, in the 18000 block of County Road 501, at the Vallecito Lake Country Market, according to La Plata County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Dan Bender.

11/28/12
“There’s a combination of factors,” Bender said. “There’s been the passage of time without any sightings; Dylan was not a visitor but had friends here; he has a history of staying in contact with his family and friends; and there’s been nothing on his cellphone record since he was reported missing.” http://www.durangoherald.com/article....CwvEVNRs.dpuf

12/02/12
Several possible sightings of Dylan were reported early on, but those have been discounted.

Facebook (FMDR TIMELINE)
People reported seeing him walking but all of those reports turned out to be unsubstantiated. (There is another older boy at the lake who looks similar to Dylan)

The mail lady reported seeing a kid that looked like Dylan walking but that again was unsubstantiated. She could not positively identify the kid she saw walking as being Dylan.

There have been no confirmed sightings of the 13-year-old boy since his disappearance.

Possible sightings of Dylan have streamed in from across the country, he said, but there have been no confirmed sightings since he went missing Nov. 19. The FBI has been helpful at prodding agencies in other jurisdictions to follow up on possible leads, Shupe said.

1/31/13
Dylan Redwine Task Force investigators said they searched miles of countryside and interviewed hundreds of people, but developments in the case have now dwindled. They have no named suspects and no confirmed sightings of Dylan.

Law enforcement officials have received sighting reports from throughout the country. Those tips haven’t yielded any results yet, however. http://catalystnewspaper.com/2012/12...han-two-weeks/

Is there any verification that LE is just now asking for these boys to come forward? Or just rumors?

I don't know what's in the area but maybe MR knows the postal lady from the local place to get a cup of coffee or a drink or dinner. Maybe she is a neighbor, but the fact is she knew MR had a son so it is reasonable for me to assume that others would know this also in the area MR lives in. Wasn't there a lady at a local store that spoke of MR. Had she seen Dylan with MR in the past?

I guess what I'm getting at, is I would like to know more from the year round neighbors and people that worked in places that Dylan and MR would have gone to in the area of MR's house. What's never been cleared to me is how much time Dylan spent there since MR moved into the place.

I realize ER said not much, but it's still one of those things that are vague, pretty much like everything else.

I have been getting bottled water delivered at home for about 3 months now. The delivery guy (always the same one) comes once every two weeks. I'm usually at work, but on the three or four occasions I have been at home, I have always gone out to talk to him - either to change my order/apologise for forgetting to put my empty bottles out etc. He was at my place about an hour ago and we spoke then - he knows me by first name and we ended up chatting about our kids and their soccer commitments. He has met my boys before - with or without me, and I daresay he would notice them or give them a wave if he saw them on our block as he was driving by.

Sorry for veering OT, but I don't think it's uncommon for regular delivery workers of any sort to get to know some of their clientele - especially in a smaller community.

There is a post on FMDR today about renewed LE activity talking to people up at the lake. However my interest in it stems from the Dr Phil show and I have posted about it several times since the show as a hole in the publicly available facts. I really have no idea what is going on with LE with this today.

IMHO LE in the area are intelligent enough that they would have spoken with the mail lady and taken an endepth statement from her. IMHO because LE has NOT changed their time line from (I believe) from last seen Monday morning to last seen Monday afternoon at approximately 1:30 pm with an unnamed teenage boy walking (whatever direction) on County Rd. 501, IMHO to me, it means that LE HAS already discounted this siting.

I just don't see how a child that is barely there can be so easily recognized by a person that rarely saw him (IMHO). I can't see how nobody else saw these two boys walking. I can't see how, if this was DR, and he was soooo close to home, didn't go home for a ride or use his phone, or go fishing without tackle

If LE was truly seeking out these boys now, why not use the media, as they did with the other tip?

It's Colorado, they still use pony express :floorlaugh: :floorlaugh:
In all seriousness though, houses in that area (from the maps - for the link) are not right on top of each other as they are in some cities. Mail carriers use vehicles. I see it every single day. I live in a HUGE city and the mail carrier drives from house to house to deliver the mail. The mailboxes are by the street (not at the door like in some older areas) I really highly very much doubt that the mail carrier was walking house to house in a rural area such as Vallecito. But that is my opinion. I'm starting to wonder if we need a link to every single statement that is made, it's getting too confusing.

Nothing in any MSM said that MR picked up DR at the airport in his truck, but we are all assuming since he has two in front of his house that he did.

I understand that, but the mail carriers do get out of their vehicles, for reasons I posted earlier, among others. Where the mail carrier was and whether she was walking, which would be slower than driving, and if driving, how fast she was going, how close or far she was, all those details are important to me, because if she was walking right up close to the boys, then I would find what she says more credible than if she was barreling by in her truck at high speed, or at some distance. That's why when the person stated she was riding, I asked if she could tell me where she saw the info, so I could find it and see if there was any more details too.

You'll have to ask a mod about the link rules. I'm still pretty new here and wouldn't want to misstate them.

I just have a hard time believing Dylans phone died.Being so far away from home and friends you would think making sure that phone had juice would be a high priority for him.

I'm on another case right now where a 24 year old woman disappeared after a night out with friends at a bar. Her phone last pinged 4 hours before she was last seen. So it happens. This woman is a college educated grade school teacher. And her phone went dead, 4 hours before she went missing.

BBM:
I'm not sure if anything LE has been doing over the weekend is related; however, as of 11-25-12 Bender was looking for the two boys:

and then the above article was followed by these statements by Bender

The more I read Dylans conversation with Ryan, the more I believe he just would not up and decide to go fishing leaving his buddy up in the air wondering what was up.If theres a fishing pole missing its because it was hidden as a coverup by dad.
I noticed dad sure put a lot of emphasis on the missing fishing pole when he was talking to DrPhil.

Because maybe the boy didn't live around there. Dylan could have met up with him at the campground or the little store or at one of the cabins he passed, or the kid could have been the bait of a recruiter. kwim? It's possible.

Possible, but seems so unlikely. I have a hard time picturing two boys who just met an hour or two ago, deciding to take off together.

Sorry, I am still a newb. I guess I don't know what a recruiter is, exactly? Are there a lot of missing kids who have been recruited? Off the top of my head, the only solved non family abductions I can think of, were abductions motivated by sexual predation.

Thanks The Cheese :) I'm really stretching the old memory here, but isn't that intersection also the one where there was some kind of alert from the first dogs who were used? I know there was some uncertainty about it, but the intersection rings a bell.
:moo:

We're not allowed to talk about that alert :(

The link leads to a post report.

The guy who delivers our mail swerves right up to our mailbox on his motorbike. Drives me nuts because he has worn a decent furrow in the grass on the nature strip - not to mention I suspect he is responsible for putting a ding in my steel gate! A different carrier in a van delivers parcels and or any mail requiring a signature - he walks them up to the door.
I don't know if the sightings are relevant or not, but in the absence of any new info it seems they would be worth another look - which is maybe what LE has been doing now with their doorknocking??

In my opinion theres a big difference the 2 circumstances. Its easy to forget to charge your phone when your out drinking, and tired and not really using it that much. But that phone was Dyans only connection to the people he REALLY cared about who he was miles and miles away from.He wasn't drinking and just forgot.I just don't think he would have let his phone die.
It would be interesting to know how long he had the phone and how old the battery was.

We've been seeing some cases of some pretty young sexual predators lately also.

Or even what make/model of phone but that piece of information has never been released in MSM.

Do they have any more plans of searching the lake when weather gets warmer?

I agree with regular workers getting to know the people. How often do your children visit you? You also speak with that person from time to time. If your children live with you, then this delivery person has seen them several times over the past 3 mths. IMO, your situation is a lot different than someone seeing a child that hadn't been there for three months and even then it was for a short time.

I know I have heard it mentioned that Nov. wouldn't be a good time for fly fishing but I found this article:

http://articles.submityourarticle.c...owned-takes-on-a-special-hue-in-autumn-115861

But of course, it's the fish that matter. In the fall, many species are spawning in Colorado streams, and once finished with their labors they need to fatten up for the long winter. In this season all types of fish are especially hungry and frisky, which makes the angling possibilities endless and the fight well worth the effort.

Seasoned anglers mark their calendars for September, October and November in Colorado as possible the best fly fishing on earth.

- The Weminuche Wilderness, in the Rio Grande and San Juan National Forests in southwestern Colorado near Durango, offers several streams, including the Los Pinos River and Vallecito Creek which drain into the Vallecito Reservoir, and featuring such action as brookies, rainbows and cutthroats. The western portion of the wilderness area include the Needle Mountains with many peaks over 14,000 feet, and spectacular vistas from every vantage point.

So, there very well may have been people in the area fishing at that time of the year.
