I'm not swayed the shadows.

It's a video of a video.

Why would someone exit the passenger side when it's so close to the other vehicle and a better option is easily available? I also think the younger sister's car seat/booster seat is on the passenger seat so he would have to crawl over it, which doesn't make sense when a wide-open exit is available.

Exiting the passenger side, so close to the other vehicle might require some careful, slow movements not to hit the car door against the other car. We see that he was slow in getting INTO the car and possibly required help or prodding by SM, so I can't envision he was suddenly nimble and exiting a trickier exit that the quick shadow seems to indicate. He was sick, injured, walks slowly to the car....but then exits in a smooth movement? I don't think so.

The shadow's timing matches SM's exit from the car, imo, and is due to some lighting/reflection/whatever because of that.

If he exited the passenger side, well, why not answer the question that matters - where were you for four hours on Monday? To me, this is pointing in one direction to keep you from looking in another.

I'm skeptical of SM's version and am not swayed at all by the shadow....unless LE proves otherwise. I'll believe LE's version.

Exactly.
Also RD had access to a far better pic quality and the preceding and post return footage. It was checked by Gannon's dad and LE.
We cannot see what they saw and we will never see it unless it is presented in evidence in a court of law as an exhibit.

Has the backyard been searched? The way SM alluded to blood on the side gate is suspicious. What went through the gate that could leave blood and which way was it going?
Yes, they reportedly looked around the property on Monday night with flashlights. They also pulled the white car from the garage likely to have a good look around for anything suspicious.

Soon after, they seized the white car and a few days later brought several large evidence bags out of the house which would indicate they had some sort of evidence that a crime occurred.

We don't know what they found, but from the story TS told it is possible that they found blood. She seems to be providing LE for an explanation for it.

I wonder why, since she claims she has already told them all this, she feels the need to make a public statement about it when she knows it will hinder the investigation? Her reputation seems to be more important to her than actually finding Gannon.

I think she kicked him in the stomach/ribs. Maybe broke his ribs, punctured a lung & or lacerated spleen. He may have been coughing up blood.
I think he died either in her car or shortly after she took him to where she dumped him.

side note: has anyone seen ...

The rules are clear, posting SM info is not allowed.

If you are able to find the warrants or court evidence about phones from the Kelsey Berreth case you may be comforted about the kind of info they probably already have from the devices in this case. They’ll be able to see changes in patterns on Gannon’s phone that will be telling. They’ll know if the phone was taken away from him and content deleted. Or if his communication changed with his dad. They will know when all the family phones were together or apart. I think they probably already have a ton of valuable data.

One thought I am unable to get out of my head about this Gannon Stauch case is that it is mighty strange, indeed, in this year of 2020 in the 21st Century, that any child over the age of about nine or 10 years old would willingly allow him or herself to become separated from her/his cell phone. Kids today cling to those devices as if they are attached to them for their very survival, like an oxygen tank, both for the logical reason of being able to communicate in phone mode but also to play games and text their friends seemingly inconsequential things (although often very important to their young minds).

The way children relate to their portable electronic devices makes me wonder how my age peers (“Baby Boomers”) and myself ever lived until we were adults without having a portable telephone on our bodies at almost all times. Granted, there were many more public pay telephones in the mid-20th Century than are in service today, but still.

And yet the reporting of the GS case has mentioned that his cell phone was not on his person when he disappeared, was left behind at home. So if GS was unable to bring his cell phone when he left his home, that means he was probably unable to locate it, thereby another red flag about “Stepmommy Dearest,” who either put him into a condition (before he left the family home) such that he was unable to think about a missing cell phone or else deliberately hid the phone from GS so he had no choice but to leave home without it.

Furthermore, I have been perplexed by the report that GS’ cell phone had been used, evidently after he disappeared, to inquire if persons could be tracked if their cell phones are turned off. Has it ever been established who used GS’ phone to make that inquiry? Was that inquiry perhaps posed by Albert Stauch, upon his return home from military duty, attempting to discover how he might locate his son. Or was it “Stepmommy Dearest” who perhaps asked that question, not wanting it to be found on her own phone?

And since I am mentioning this subject of the cell phone, I sincerely hope, if they haven’t already, that law enforcement (the FBI probably most equipped to do such) will confiscate the cell phones of SM and GS and turn them over to the most competent information technology (IT) specialists available, to see if anything may ascertained from either phone that might possibly assist in the case of GS’ disappearance.

The Gannon Stauch case motivated me to join Websleuths. But for all missing persons "Leave No Stone Nor Boulder Unturned," remembering every missing adult was also once somebody's child.

I think that's a road sign that illuminates at night, the road makes a sharp turn there, probably a high accident area.

When I look at where they are...by that curve in the road, it seems if someone took a turn too fast...a vehicle lost control...and a passenger was not buckled...this is an area where a person could end up after being tossed from a vehicle. “It was an accident...”

Or, at least, if G were to be found here, a scenario such as this is what someone would want people to think.

Maybe this is too far fetched, but I just think how close they are searching near this curve/roadway is puzzling.

I have been reluctant to post on here (although following) due to fear of opposition to the thoughts i have about the disappearance of GS.
(Also the trashing all over the internet of both the SM and BM is astounding. I find it repulsive.)

I am thankful we are not allowed to discuss social media posts here. I understand how angry many people are..i just don't understand the vileness.

My thoughts about SM. I believe her when she says she has looked after the children for the last 2 years. I don't believe her reason for this is totally accurate. jmo

I think there may have been an accident on the Sunday..and there-after possibly a cover-up.
I don't believe she wanted to purposely harm GS. jmo

TS..if you read this - I would say to you. If there was an accident..do the right thing. The truth will set you free..and there are those who will show you mercy if you tell the full truth.

SM's statement is deceptive..jmo. (post about this to follow)

1) What better option? We'd have to assume because GS entered on the rear driver side that he'd have to exit from the same door. We have no clue as to what was purchased during the day, where the items were placed, etc.

2) Re: younger sister's car seat/booster. Have you seen a photo or video evidence of a booster seat located on the rear passenger side seat? Please link it.

3) Upon returning from the 'shopping trip' we witnessed SM back the vehicle on to the driveway, drive it forward and back it up again, clearly attempting to position the vehicle to a purposeful position. It could be she was ensuring good distance between the vehicles. After all, a driver would have to enter the front driver side door if they were to use the vehicle. We also not the rear doors on the truck are not full-size doors, they are shortened doors and do not require as much clearance as a 'normal' (for lack of a better description) sized door.

4) Regarding 'timing' of shadows, the photographer in me is responding here: it is not possible for those shadows (there is more than one) to be caused by SM's exiting the vehicle from the driver's door. I take in to account sources and directions of light, juxtaposition of the two vehicles, spacing between, etc. The average person typically is not aware of those elements. Such observations and accounting is second-nature for photographers.

5) Re: "four hours", who said SM hasn't answered that? We can be certain LE interrogated SM and SM may have given a complete accounting of those four hours. If you know otherwise I'd hope you fill us in.

6) What is LE's version? Please fill us in.

Thanks!

I may have missed this in my reading through the pages of threads but do we know if Gannon had any kind of online presence (youtube, instagram, gaming profiles, etc.)? I don't get the opinion that he was preyed upon by someone online but am curious if he had an online presence?
Gannon did have a youtube channel, with 1 video Gannon Stauch
I'm pretty sure he also had the Nintendo Switch, but I can't recall where I read that so I'll say MOO on that one.

I wouldn't say he had much of an online presence the way an older boy would, who was either into gaming, a youtuber or into social media.

Questions for folks with more experience following missing children cases - is this case typical of the amount of LE resources used? And do they usually share number of tips received, hours logged etc.? I’m curious if there’s anything different here.

The video footage released was very very grainy. It was a recording of a recording on a television. The origanal recording, in possession of the police, is very high tech pixelation and can zoom in and has audio. They would be able to hear if 2 car doors open or close and people talking. The video footage (that people are attempting to see if he gets out via shadows) is the generic version of what the police have, and if they really believe that he got out the other side on that day they would say so. Instead they said he did not get out on the other side and that that was part of their evidence. And I'm more than sure they also have the video footage from other neighbors on the other side of the truck. And he doesn't have any other video footage of Gannon leaving his house since that Monday morning at 10:15 a.m.

''Instead they said he did not get out on the other side''
Could you please post an MSM link where the police stated this.

This is all pretty typical for a missing child case in which foul play or critical endangerment is suspected. The FBI Evidence Response Team's involvement is noteworthy. That doesn't happen on every case like this and suggests there's some challenging evidence.
