Does anyone know how long it takes techs to recover deleted data from phones? Also, I’m not very technologically oriented at all but if another device like a burner phone was being used in the house is it possible the home router would pick it up? I remember reading about how airplanes send out pings and give satellites a “handshake” so I was wondering if phones were kind of similar?
Sorry if that’s a dumb question lol.

Re: recovering deleted data from a phone: a couple of hours, give or take. Maybe even less.
(personal experience - daughter was the victim in a criminal case & the evidence was deleted off her phone by the perp - LE got it back and justice was served)
Re: burner phone & router - yes, the router would pick up IF the burner accessed the router's wifi. I'm not sure it would if the wifi was not being accessed.
We have a guest login at our house and all my kid's friends use it - our router has every single one of their phones listed.
(Plus all our in-laws, outlaws and various others coming and going in our house).

Also, there is a ton of homelessness in the Springs. An incredible amount. Many people move out here on a whim because it is beautiful, and they believe with the marijuana laws, they will have a great life here. Unfortunately, the cost of living is incredibly high and there is very little affordable housing. I work two jobs. It's difficult. Beautiful, but difficult. And the homeless are just all over. Some do pass from the cold weather, etc. And crime is an issue here in some areas as well. Not sure what the reason is for this person who lost his or her life, but it is heartbreaking.
That is so true about this area.

I cant see a case of this being a revenge hoax. It will involve other people or person. What would the end result be? Other than her doing 3 hots and a cot.
Yes it would. And I don’t know about the end result. Waiting on that...I can say that the opportunity to make a lot of money over tragic events and playing off the sympathy of others is not too hard to do these days. Moo

It's not in MSM and LE hasn't said. We can't quote SM.

Sure she could. LE can't just drive up to your house, make you leave, and not let you back in. They would at the very minimum need to declare it a crime scene (which they have not), then conclude their search in a reasonable amount of time, file what they found with the Court that issued the search warrant, etc. That has not happened. For whatever reason, LE has not wanted to go the pathway of public warrants, and it would seem that they have been granted access to the house without a search warrant. That's what most distraught parents of missing kids do.

Further, LE can't just kick one party out of their home and let the other party stay in it. Colorado courts have a very strong view of tenant's rights.

Hey friend! They actually can kick someone out to preserve the evidence until they can get a search warrant and I am 100% certain they acquired search warrants.

They can also issue an emergency protective order that typically lasts a few days until the owners can get a restraining order that effectively keeps them off the property.

I didn’t want to “like” this post, but your local perspective is appreciated.

Question for the legal and LE folks: is there a way a potential crime scene could be sealed off or otherwise made off-limits to one person but not everyone? Seems unlikely since nobody has been designated a POI but maybe?
Or maybe there is an order of protection in place that nobody's talking about? (I'm not even sure if that's the right term here, please share more info if you know).

I could see this going down in a combination of some of the theories we've been discussing:
1. LE and the bio parents (or just AS) make a decision that TS and her daughter cannot stay at the house, maybe for the protection of little sister and what information she has a witness.
2. Maybe TS had the option of making a trip to the house (maybe escorted by LE while the rest of the family was not present) to collect clothes, etc, but she threw a hissy and refused so she could play the martyr about the situation some more. Or maybe she was actively avoiding LE contact at that time. Or all her possessions are considered evidence (although if so it seems odd anyone would be allowed to stay at the house).

In the Cousin It interview when she was talking about this, she said "here" when talking about clothes and where her possessions were. Makes me wonder if that interview took place right by Lorson Ranch after she tried to access the house and was denied and that's why it was fresh in her mind enough for all the harping about it in the middle of all the more relevant information related to Gannon himself she could have addressed instead.

Yes and yes. And I believe that’s what happened.

IMO and just based on assumption, if anyone told her to leave aside from AS it could of also been CPS, since GS little sister still resides in the home. They can threaten to remove her from the home is TS was still living there, since there was a missing child she was last seen with, she could be considered a danger.

That’s true.

Thanks for that clarification @gitana1 - I haven’t checked the court records to see if anything is online - has anyone yet?

Trust me, I get what y'all are saying, BUT it just doesn't explain why she would leave without clothes for her or her daughter. I am not buying the "to make herself look like a victim" thing because I really doubt in that moment that she was thinking that far ahead or knew she would be interviewed for the news. Also, why would she tolerate that big of an inconvenience to herself, and especially her daughter, just to prove a point?

I think (IMO) there were a couple of reasons why she left without anything.

1. There was probably conflict between her and her husband previously. When Gannon went missing, the tensions rose to a very high level. She probably thought the runaway story would get a couple of days before it was questioned but I bet his mom and dad didn't buy it. Questions were getting too hot and too tough to not answer directly. (She has yet to say, "I didn't kill or harm Gannon." as a straight uncomplicated sentence.) She had to get out of Dodge.

2. LE was probably looking around the house. She would have to answer more questions like, "What were you wearing on Monday?' I would think if she harmed him (and I believe she did) that being in the home and being asked about clothing etc was too hot. Leaving everything meant she did not have to answer about the clothes (which I think were discarded somewhere). LE would have continued to hammer her for details if she was at the house. She was surprised by their presence when she was shopping because she thought she was out of the limelight. (see #1 about not answering directly)

3. Better to have her daughter see them as victims so having no clothing helps the daughter stay on mom's side.

4. Her victim mentality is very deeply ingrained (IMO). Every word she writes is dripping with not feeling appreciated or valued. Ironically, she was feeling like a victim at the same time Gannon was a true victim of a crime and she could not muster any emotions beyond her self-pity and outrage that others were "blaming her."

How do they handle search warrants without a court case ? They just go to the judge with their probable cause ? And then that’s not public until charges are filed ??
That’s how the Frazee case went. We had to wait for the arrest affidavit, which was sealed (in an unusual move).

Some search warrants were ultimately released following the probable cause hearing.

But that was long after the legal process started (Frazee’s arrest).

I wonder if GS's little sister saw him "before" she went to school that morning? I'd like to know what shape he was in.
Those kids are key. They can offer clarity in regards to how SM treated Gannon, and can shed light on the days surrounding Gannon’s disappearance.

Even if they didn’t see anything, they could report what SM was doing, and what she said to them (before and after).

ENDANGERED: 11-year-old Colorado boy has been missing for more than 3 weeks

Article updated an hour ago, however, I see no new info.
11 News asked authorities on Monday if there was any information on a possible reward leading to the location of Gannon. As of Monday, no reward is being offered by law enforcement.

The office reiterates that all submitted tips need to be credible, not based on speculation or rumor.

Those living in the Lorson Ranch neighborhood are reminded to "be mindful of and check areas on your property a child may hide to include yards, window wells, outbuildings and culverts."

IMO "asking" infers requesting her permission. It is quite possible she was directed to leave the premises. Could there be a search warrant behind it? Wouldn't LE need to get evidence before it was destroyed?
MOO

That's exactly why I put "ask" in quotes. I think she was instructed to leave, and I don't think it was all her husband who did so.
