Something like Benadryl would put him to sleep, but is very unlikely to outright kill him.

What I think is more likely in that scenario, is Benadryl combined with asphyxiation.

Gravol (Dramamine) can do the same kind of thing.

And here's another thing: I had a friend overdose and die from NyQuil. It slows the heart. He went to sleep and never woke up.

Lots of things could have been used to incapacitate Gannon if that's what happened.

MOO

I actually read somewhere that the National Guard is helping in the investigation. Maybe on media thread or page one. I will take a look.
I think that was in regards to the early search effort. I can’t see them having any further involvement outside of aiding in future searches.

I agree, I don’t know if Benadryl alone would do it. Sadly Benadryl is far too easy to add to other meds, causing an overdose. It is possible, if other meds are also available in the home.

There was a tremendously sad case in Utah where Benadryl was used as part of a deadly mixture.

“When police got to the home in the small town about 50 miles from Salt Lake City, they found Benjamin and Kristi Strack and three of their four children dead inside the master bedroom. They found empty containers of cold and flu medication, allergy medication, sleeping medication, pain reliever and cherry-flavored liquid methadone. And they found a plastic sand pail filled with a lethal yellowish-orange concoction, a mixture of the drugs.”

I almost prefer to believe this scenario played out, both because it leaves a bigger possibility of evidence being found, and also because I don’t want to even think that asphyxiation will come into play.

Wouldn’t it be an absolutely fantastic development if LS was at the home showing LE what happened to Gannon, like KK did for Kelsey...

I don’t have much hope for that, so I have to hope whatever brings them to the home today will lead
to an arrest, and finding Gannon. Moo

Nothing is impossible... LS lookalike in police clothing....

Out of all the scenarios that has been presented the only one that has given my heart peace is that maybe she gave him something and he just fell asleep and never woke up. :(

I just saw it said they were involved in the search. Don’t know if that was for a day or if they plan to see it through to the end. I’m sure they will only search if LE asks for their assistance.

My own opinion is that LE has concluded long ago that Gannon is no longer alive and they are completing their search for evidence. I will be so happy if I am wrong.

I was wrong-Benadryl alone could do it. And I have had this sinking feeling that part of the 4 hour window was spent waiting for something to happen, then disposal.

Diphenhydramine is a relatively nontoxic antagonist of the histamine H1 receptor. However, sedative and anticholinergic effectsbecome prominent in individuals who overdose on this drug. This autonomic disturbance has been linked to hypertension, hypotension, tachycardia, ventricular arrhythmia, and cardiac arrest.72 Death may occur within 2 hours of overdose, with a fatal dose for children estimated to be 500 mg and for adults 20 to 40 mg/kg.73”

Do you mean not a good sign that they have anything yet? Or not a good sign that Gannon is alive,or both?

I do not think it is a good sign that LE is back at the house.

I do not think it is a good sign that there have been searches in many areas, far apart from each other; and the searches have been completed for now.

I don't any of this reflects on whether Gannon is alive or not.

But every day his body is not found, is another day that has the possibility of Gannon being alive.

As far as I am concerned, and regardless of the story SM comes up with, he was murdered.
She can call it an accident, an overdose, whatever, but the fact that she covered up his disappearance and her involvement would cause me to ask for the maximum punishment if I were the DA. She has done nothing but lie

Please let us get more information today!

I’m heartbroken for Gannon’s family and friends. It’s been 30 days since he disappeared.

Where are you Gannon?

We’re all here looking for you and waiting for you to come home.

This is a question for the locals. I am not a local by any stretch of the imagination so I'm trying to get a sense of the weather. Yup...my mind has wandered to the weather.

In looking at the picture of the Crime Lab Van outside the Stauch home, I see no snow really. Maybe a trace here or there but I'm looking at straight up grass in front of that house.

@Silverheels was posting yesterday about horrible weather and I saw images on Twitter about freezing temps and blowing snow.

What is the weather like today?

The reason I ask is that numerous theories point to Gannon being found close to home. If no snow at home, searches in a relatively close area could turn up something. But as far as we know, there have been no current searches close to home.

The area searched last week where they were located for a close to 5 days is further north I think. Is there still snow there and treacherous conditions?

When does a spring thaw typically happen in Colorado?

I was in Wellington, Colorado several years ago in May. It was beautiful one day and then a snowstorm hit, and then the next day, all the snow was gone. Is that typical Colorado weather?

Sorry for the rambling but I'm working on a timeline for when it is realistic to expect Gannon to be found.

TIA
Weather here is erratic. It can be cold and snowing one day and have a full thaw the next. Yesterday’s snow was not even a thing. Mostly just frigid temps and wind.

The difference in Larkspur/Perry Park is that there are more trees and elevation changes. This tends to increase the cold spots that keep snow there for longer. My husband and I lived in Conifer for a few years. Some areas with poor sun exposure could go a full season without a thaw. Far different than the metro areas.
