I used to live in Monument and we'd drive up to GOTG occasionally. I can attest to the fact that there are multiple rock formations with hundreds of feet deep NARROW crevices that she could have carefully lowered him into with a rope or cable. If she threw in some debris on top of him, no one would ever be able to tell he was down in there via visual inspection from above. There simply MUST be a way to check these. It's been my gut feeling all along that she may have put him in there. Law enforcement needs to get serious and start lowering cameras into these super deep crevices. If they wait, and he's in there, they risk losing valuable forensic evidence, such as whether he was poisoned. I truly hope they follow up with this. This woman wouldn't make it easy, if not impossible to find, part of her plan was making SURE of that!

My thoughts on this interview is that she is young, and was not asked about Gannon specifically.

In many missing persons cases by the end of week two the media starts to step away as there is no "news" to report. Families who keep their loved ones in the spotlight do vigils or have other events to keep the case in the public eye. Unfortunately, Gannon's step-mother with her interview and other actions has taken the spotlight for herself (in week 2+) and Gannon is not the topic that is getting the attention but it does keep his case in the news. His parents have not had to come out publicly to plead the case for why the search needs to continue. As it appears to many, this is not a stranger abduction which would keep him in the public eye as well.

I have gotten caught up in the step-mother's behavior but I am trying to redouble my efforts to focus on this boy who is missing.

The babysitter seriously didn't help anything...she sounds stoned.. like um...like I dont know um...like.
You'd simply be amazed at how many people are stoned in this area. Literally hundreds of "pot shops" from Pueblo to Ft. Collins. The beautiful scenery is dazzling. It's real easy to be oblivious and stupid.

As cold set in he would knock on a door or go in a business.

Yes.
If he ran away he would have found help.

He wasn't seen running away on that video.

She is seen driving off in a truck with him on that video.

She is then seen returning alone in that truck on the video.

I'm not entertaining any fanciful suggestion that he ran away.

There's incontrovertible proof to the contrary on that video.

Ha! I really wasn’t open to the idea that he ran away, even before that video.

The whole situation appeared to be contrived (Google search), and law enforcement was saying one thing, but behaving in a way that indicated another.

Their words didn’t match their actions, and I figured there was likely a reason for that.

As soon as SM gave that notorious interview, it all became clear.

The surveillance video put an exclamation point on all of that.

No one came forward saying they had seen this kid. He wasn’t captured on video. He made no preparations to run away. He had no pattern of running away. If he did run away, it would be unusual for him to stay away, or not be found.

That’s because he didn’t run away. It’s probable that only two people know where Gannon was taken, and it’s overwhelmingly likely that one of them is now dead.

I hate posting after a mod has had to clean up, usually they are not very happy and in the best of moods. :)

With the surveillance tape, how can anyone STILL think he ran away? Seriously? It shows him getting on the vehicle, it shows her coming back alone and no one with her. Then hours later, she makes the 911 call. Did she leave the house and look for him when he failed to come home from his “friend’s” house?

I would love to hear an interview from her about the specialness of Gannon. I want to hear a plea for him to come home, not to clear her name and tell everyone they were wrong and to give her apologies, but to have her stepson back alive and unharmed. I do not think that is a lot to ask.

I’m gonna stop here cuz I know the mods are around and I don’t need a WS vacay. :p

IMO, JMO,cMOO, FWIW, IME and all that. o_O

They know where she went. I think they are looking in specific areas because they have narrowed her time line. The CS camera map that was posted in the last thread showed that the truck would have come up multiple times once they left their neighborhood.

Thanks to @SalMAnder for the great link and post. I pasted it below.

I think this was mentioned before, but I don't think those traffic cameras actually record. I know you can see them live, and it may be different in CS, but I know the other cams in CO are just a feed and you need someone there to press record. I only know this because I was in a hit and run accident a bit north of Denver. I got a hold of the monitors and they told me it's not recorded.

This is only my experience and I'm in Denver, but that's what I was told. Moo

I think the argument is that it’s not the whole video, and/or it’s only one angle.

We heard about the dad’s reaction to it, and he clearly believes that it shows what it is purported to show.

I agree, Gannon left with SM, and never returned.

I believe you, but I've never really thought about this before and now I'm wondering what in the world those cameras are even for then. Why would live feed do anyone any good without recording?

In her defense, as others have said, who knows what was edited out. It is still odd, though.

Could it be that the tv station intentionally didn't do TS any favors?

MOO

Well the advance hype from the network Twitter account (Nicole Fierro) made it seem like they had something in the way of a big counter-narrative from the baby sitter.

"His step mother was last to see him and has gotten a lot of criticism but we're getting a new perspective in an exclusive interview with Gannon's babysitter."

I'd agree for the most part with the upthread ppl who deemed it as just a hopeful ratings grab effort that didn't really deliver. Mostly it didn't do the public viewing audience any favors. Nothing really substantive was learned.

It's not as if she needs any help in that department. Why would they do that? SMH. How about asking about Gannon, aren't they worried sick about him. Instead they build things up, like ooooohh huge revelation. No it's Zilch, a big nothing burger. Is it tabloid TV?

Hi- newbie here- does anyone know if Gannon had a backpack? I've glanced quickly at missing posters and original post here but see no mention. I'm in MA and I ask because, yesterday morning, I saw a boy from across an intersection while I was sitting at a red light. He had a blue jacket and jeans on with dark hair and was wearing a grey backpack (not 100% on the color). I had been reading about this case over the weekend and something about this boy jumped out to me- he seemed almost like he was unsure of where he was going; crossed the street and then back again and took a turn down another street which would have led him back where he came from. I was at the time unfortunately rushing my son to urgent care so this thought really didn't come back to me until now. Do we know if he might have ties to anyone in MA? I'm debating whether I should call the tip line or I'm thinking too much into this..
It was reported, possibly sourced from L that he did not carry a book bag when he allegedly left home, walking to meet his alleged friend. That was 2 weeks ago. I'm not sure what you should do regarding tip-line on this? Maybe speak with local police, there may have been ctv coverage in the area you believe you may have seen him, they can harvest that.

I also feel sure that's where he is.
