Trying to catch what Dr. Torres said, so some of this is filled in with my own words.

Anyone who watched tv and have seen something about DID they could report symptoms connected to what they think how it would present. However, it's more subtle. The multiple personalities can't be controlled. The people who do suffer from it are often ashamed, they don't enjoy having this condition. Ms. Stauch doesn't seem to be disturbed by having these other personalities.

She or Dr. Gray's opinion didn't change, the symptoms that Ms. Stauch was reporting seemed to increase as time went on and Dr. Lewis came into the picture.

Borderline with Narcissistic features, and Anxiety Disorder. They wanted to give credence to the abuse she self-reported.

If you do not find a mental disease or defect then insanity is not to be considered usually. If both don't appear, and the person knows right from wrong, then insanity isn't considered.

We are looking at what it means for a person to be conscious when an event happens. We're looking at what could be the intent, knowingly, an awareness. Awake, conscious, know what's going on. Attorney stops her there to go elsewhere in questioning.

This testimony has been tedious but perhaps it goes to the witness' credit that she is slow, methodical.

Sort of like a CPA, doing an audit of T's mental health/sanity.

Scored it carefully and, not only does T not meet the thresholds, all of T's rambling is explainable by T's access to TV, the diagnostic manual, etc.

Sorry, T, you did pass with flying colors. Just not the way you thought you did.

Sane.

Your made-up characters aren't credible.

Dr. Torres says in Ms. Stauch was sane at the time of the crime. She had no impacting mental illness or defect to understand reality, or to make judgements, even pertaining to after the shooting. She's not lacking in the thought process to form intent.
