1- some forge's are pretty big- think barrel size
2- maybe the forge is not his, maybe borrowed it from buddy
3-I think this is a good possiblity seeing how he would know
how hot and dangerous the forge is. So hot, it's scary.

I hate to even say this, but would it make more sense to place body parts into a forge vs. stuffing a full body (even a small body) into one? :( This is also assuming you heat it up prior to hypothetically putting a body in.

Well if I had decided to seek DP, I'd announce it right after arraignment. Just depends on if he's going to use it or not.

Man Accused Of Murdering Fiancee Kelsey Berreth Appears In Court

SABBMFAA:
Frazee is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 29. District Attorney Dan May said that his office will consider whether to pursue the death penalty after Frazee enters a plea in court next month.

-- rio, it looks like the DA has decided to wait for PF to enter his plea. From a prosecutorial standpoint, are there any advantages to delaying an announcement re: seeking the DP in this case?

Did her family mention a large rug missing? Idk
Oh, you're right. KB's brother said nothing was missing. She could have
bought it recently. It's just a thought as to why LE didn't see any obvious signs of foul play the first time they went to her house.

@riolove77
But, it’s not too late, correct?
So.... the DP threat, IMO, gets a defendant “thinking & talking”, do you agree?
How long would a dynamite prosecutor as I envision you wait before talking a deal? This is if the evidence supports a DP case.

Oh it's too EARLY! haha he has plenty of time!

Obviously I don't know what May has or doesn't have, but if he has enough for a DP case, he can already be consulting with the Berreths to get their thoughts. Something makes me think they would be a lot like SW's family in not wanting to press for it; lots of religious folks are like that.

Not to say they have to tell PF that; also not to say May has to do what the victim's family wants, although often it's taken into account.

May might be willing to take LWOP to forego a trial if all are in agreement; I just don't think we are going to have a CW on our hands here....this guy will take it all the way. I hope I'm wrong though.

Do we know that? It's very possible they are in the process of having her declared, since they are so certain she was killed, when she was killed, and where she was killed. And that's just what they've told the public...
Can they even have that Preliminary Hearing on murder charges if Kelsey is not declared dead and a death certificate issued?

Neighbors said he had a history of parking behind her car(s) even though their were parking spaces available in the front. Some felt this was PF
exercising his control his control of her. If they had a fight, she wouldn't be able to drive away to get away from him.
Perhaps it was just faster and easier for him. Who knows?
There must be CCTVs in those houses and businesses in her neighborhood.
Are the neighbors mostly full-time residents or are their seasonal
residents, time-shares or AirBnBs?
Someone or a camera must have seen the killer(s) drive away.

imo

He might park horizontal to avoid hanging in the street, imo.

I understand the thought process of drugging being a possibility, but the fact that PF has been arrested for murder and the police have stated that they believe she is no longer alive means there is some other proof of KB being murdered. Just the presence of a syringe or even a small amount of blood would not mean she had been murdered. It has to be a significant amount of blood, or other evidence in KBs home or PFs trash that provided the police enough information for them to KNOW KB is gone. MOO

As to the cinnamon rolls, I don't think their being on the stove means anything except to prove she was in her home that morning. Kelsey told her mom she made rolls for breakfast and LE finds the rolls on the stove. So it proves that yes, Kelsey was in her home that morning. And she was at Safeway at noon because of video.

The rolls being on the stove doesn't mean anything about taking a trip. It only means she had them for breakfast. LE didn't say the rest of her house was nice and tidy, ready for a trip. LE only stated that nothing was disturbed. She could have wet clothes in the washer, a full diaper pail and dishes in the sink. Which is how a normal lived-in house looks. LE only tells us the details that pertain to the timeline. Rolls and Safeway.

MOO :)

I am glad you said that.

I didn't follow the CW case consistently except for on the news. How will this go in Colorado once things start to move? Will you be able to watch the trial live? Will we see all the documents and evidence released during the trial or after?
I am happy to hear that Court TV is returning this coming May.
No telling when or if this case goes to trial, but It would be great to watch it on Court TV.

That's why I think it isn't crime scene evidence that they declared she was dead. I think it was cell data and other information they have acquired that makes them believe this.

The 29th January date was changed to February 19th.

LWOP, is great, imo.
He can enjoy many long days thinking about ridin & ropin. Maybe catch a few old westerns on his small screen.

I think the victim’s family often prefer LWOP to avoid a trial. Things, hurtful, ugly things are always brought out to diminish the victim. I understand the defense must vigorously defend his client but......
MOO from my experience watching trials/reading, etc.

I'm just thinking out loud here.....so PF ses to KK, You come for Thanksgiving. Then x happens (did she even know?), and you (KK) leave, taking this phone with you that I want you to turn on in Gooding. And then pitch it.

All while riding in an Uber? (I'm still having a hard time figuring out the Uber connection)

How is this not conspiracy? Even if KK didn't know why the phone was given to her. Like as if PF said, I can't tell you, if I tell you, I'd have to kill you.

This plot. Too thick.

I completely agree on this and couldn't have said it better. PF had been planning this murder since September 1, at least. He had solicited, as far as we know, as far back as Sept. 1 so he must have been planning it from at least that day. Think of how many days he continued to plan it, continue to stick to that plan, day after day. Each day he could have woken up, shook his head and chuckled and thought "wow, that was stupid", but he didn't. And not only did he plan it, he carried it through. I don't see him stopping now. He's literally got nothing to lose by holding his tongue and not revealing where Kelsey's remains are. In fact he's got more of a chance at getting off if he continues on his path, because if he talks he has no chance of a jury believing he didn't kill Kelsey.
