I hope it is not considered a knock to say this, if so go right ahead and swat me, but I sure hope they do something about the acoustics in that courtroom, and before trial for sure. Even the reporters tweeting from the courtroom and others that attend have remarked on how they cannot hear the testimony clearly sometimes. Seriously, it results in tweets and facts from the preliminary that still exist online with no way to determine the veracity.

jmo.

Judge bars cameras from Patrick Frazee court hearing because of publicity concerns – The Denver Post
A Teller County judge has barred TV and newspaper cameras from a court hearing scheduled Friday in the Patrick Frazee murder case claiming that extraordinary media coverage might impinge on his right to have a fair trial.

[...]

“This case has received extraordinary media attention. I have considered whether there is a reasonable likelihood that expanded media coverage would interfere with the rights of the parties to a fair trial,” Sells’ court decorum order says.

“I have determined that any expanded media coverage of the arraignment on May 24, 2019 would interfere with the rights of the parties to a fair trial and would create adverse effects greater than those caused by traditional media coverage,” he wrote

Sells’ order says that no expanded media coverage of any type will be permitted on Friday.

Thanks Pommy Mommy. So it sounds like there will be a trial and/or

1). Plea of not guilty,

2). Plea of not guilty and request for bond and release while trial is pending since no body was found,

3). Defense and DA have come to some sort of plea agreement and sentencing date will be set.

Either way, it’s sad that cameras are not allowed in courtroom but I suppose that is the Judge’s discretion.

Hope we can get tweets, if the reporters can even hear in that courtroom.

Yes

No

No

I’m betting we will have a change of venue request by the defense in the near future

Jmo
That usually always happens. But in this case it seems PF is well liked by the community, except for a couple of people who said he didn’t treat animals well. That will be interesting for sure if defense does request it.

I think they would have to present some new evidence as it already been denied once. I’m not convinced they will ask again, as they didn’t really argue it the first time jmo
Ah, ok. I didn’t remember that they had asked for it already and I wondered why not.

All possibilities I imagine. I lean towards not guilty though.

It is hard to say whether a change of venue would favor him or not. There seems to be a fair group supporting him out there in his area if you talk to some, but then talk to someone like, for instance, in Woodland Park, and many of them think some of the people in Cripple Creek and Florissant area are, well, I won't say... Probably just like any county anywhere... Small town, bigger town, etc.

I do not care, I just hope if it is moved, it is somewhere with far better acoustics as well... :)

Regarding how well liked PF is

Reminds me of cases of certain serial killers whose moms said; but he’s such a good boy.....puking emoji

ETA:
And I think the media request denial lends towards a not guilty plea just based on the the judges ruling if there was a guilty plea/plea deal in the works, Media bias would have no basis IMO

No argument here. I am waiting to hear from ma on the stand.

ETA: At trial--with regard to her favored baby boy...

yah it should be interesting, shes already said she would plead the fifth at the preliminary(Through her lawyers). It will be an interesting conundrum for her at trial, plead the fifth as to not incriminate herself or go to bat for PF. I'm not sure she can have it both ways.

It should be dramatic
