Why would CW’s mother want to leak that her son brutally beat his wife? From what we have seen of her so far, she is still in the denial and fight till the end mode. I would not think anyone in CW’s family would have been shown the autopsy reports. Maybe his attorneys communicated this info to her? I know she has said she had been kept in the dark but she also said she could not ask him anything about the plea but later said she was allowed to ask him about it, asked him why he pled guilty and he told her it is what he wanted.

The prints of his feet were in connection to a foot print on a bag that was found at Certi Ranch (oil site). But he certainly could have kicked her. That could have incapacitated her if it was quick and unexpected. I haven't seen anything about CW being involved in martial arts. If all of the blows were delivered to her body it's doubtful it would have injured his hands/knuckles. This speculation really tears me up; what must have been going through her mind! Poor Shanann,

So sorry...... too many threads for me to clearly remember information about the request for CW's hand and footprints. Was it ever ever confirmed by LE/DA that his footprints were found on the bag left at CERVI, an assumption when the request was made, or just a media report? I honestly cannot recall.

They were married in Nov 2012. Moved to Colorado soon after (PommyMommy, do you know when?). Purchased CO home in May 2013.

Shanann loved Colorado. No more drama, she said in her video. (she was polite to not say MIL was the cause of the drama, IMO)

I've lost some of my notes, but I think @Seattle1 will remember. I know that they first stayed with a friend in Colorado, prior to moving into their home. MOO

She is not at all in denial that he killed SW - only that he killed the girls, too. SW being beaten fits neatly into the story he initially told.

I find it so odd that CW's parents refused to attend his wedding to SW because Mama Watts couldn't get along with SW. How petty can one be? She didn't have to like her but out of respect for your son you don't skip out on such an important event. That there shows her true character. Of course I don't know what the conflict was all about but personally I wouldn't have shown such disrespect.

Especially if it’s still because she’s holding a grudge over something as trivial as SW talking about CW’s “skater boy” and “too much hair gel” appearance. That’s a long time to be holding onto that. And I’m sure if SW did something worse (to actually warrant a grudge) she wouldn’t have been afraid to mention it during the interview.

This! Yes I do find it very self serving. I am another one that doesn't buy that she didn't know he was married. And as I said previously I don't buy that she "barely" knew him. This affair was not nearly as innocent as she makes it out to be. It was a sexual affair with a married man with small children. At 30 years old I just don't believe she was that naive.

People keep comparing her to AF. There is a huge difference. AF did not live near SP so it was very easy for him to hide the truth of his situation. NK and CW worked in the same place. His coworkers knew the situation and many have said their affair was being talked about all the time. Which makes sense.

Now having said all of that; I do not believe she had anything to do with the murders.

I don't find it hard to believe that he would have lied to her and I think he did tell her he was divorcing his wife. People like him are experts at deceiving and manipulating others. Even the most intelligent, experienced women can be fooled. Age has nothing to do with it. It would have been easy to hide from her since she didn't know anyone he knew and Shanann and the kids were in NC for 5 weeks. I also think he deleted his FB account to make it harder for her to find out. If he was planning to kill them soon after Shanann had already been gone all that time then he likely thought she would never learn the truth.
This was the perfect time for her to come out and tell her story. I wouldn't expect anything different. The aftermath from the sentencing will be very stressful for her with the media hounding her and the gossip spread about her. I would be willing to bet many have judged and condemned her already. She and her lawyer made a very wise move to come out publicly before Monday.
Maybe she did know they had not started divorce proceedings. She certainly would not be the first to have a relationship with a married man. But that still has nothing to do with what he did. After all, CW and Shanann were both considering separation, as many have stated. Others noticed they had grown apart, so for all we know they did consider the option of divorce. Either way, it's not really relevant to me. I do not condone adultery, but compared to murdering your wife and children, it seems a little insignificant when looking at the whole picture. If it were not for her, it may have taken LE A little longer to figure things out. Jmo

Cervi, not Certi, sorry. Footprints WERE found on a non-porous bag. I don't believe it was ever confirmed that it was or was not CW's footprint.

And that VI who came on here with so much disdain and nastiness for Shan'ann claimed he deleted it because CW's WIFE continued to post nice things. The gall of her! But I guess if you are telling your new mistress that your divorce is finalized, that would be awkward. The fact that they were seeing each other 4 t0 5 times a week -- there was no way to pull that off with his wife in town. It was all about to crash in on him and so he chose the murder route. And that's why I believe he had planned and thought about it as the divorce is not something he could have got out of easily.. Especially if the AP did go to the house while SW was away

Sorted this out about 45 threads ago: CW purchased the house under construction Oct 2012 as a single man; they were married Nov 2012; obtained permanent home financing May 2013.

My theory on this as it gives credence (in her eyes) to Shanann being to blame. He didn’t mean to do it, she made him lose his temper blah blah blah jmo
