TEXT MESSAGE FROM SUZANNE: “I’d live in a shack right now… I’m sure he won’t make it easy. He has always wanted control.” #FindSuzanne
Poor Suzanne. :( This is so awful to read how desperate she was to be free from Barry’s control and anger issues. I was thinking if the pushed in the closet & gun to his head situation had happened to me that would have been it…I’m out of there! And I would have called the police. Maybe she did? We will have to wait and see but I understand how these things go…he has a rage fit and it’s super scary and traumatizing but then it eventually blows over and he probably acted like it never happened. I also understand her wanting to wait to get a divorce until both her daughters were older and out of the house. Her best friend must have been terribly worried about her even before she was a no show at the wedding. I wish we could see Barry’s face right now.

Side note for those who have daughters (I know it sounds sexist, sorry): try to instill in them that’s it’s important to have their own careers. You cannot depend on anyone to support you for the rest of your life. For the children of super wealthy parents, carry on.
Suzanne brought money/assets into the marriage. She had an degree in childhood education. Maybe BM wanted her to stay at home and play the role of the perfect wife for the perfect husband.

If these texts go back to 2018 though, that is a long time to set someone up for something. It to me shows more a pattern of abuse that she confided in a good friend about. Add that to the spy pen recordings. It's clear Suzanne was trying to leave a trail in case the worst happened. :( I knew it was bad, but I didn't think this bad as far as the control and total manipulation of even her relationship with her girls.
I did. His behavior is classic.

He was controlling Suzanne with the kids & money, he wasn't going to let her leave and make him look bad. She would tell others what she endured, he wanted to squash her growing independence by silencing her forever. The money would also be ALL his.
And Suzanne's father's health was terminal. He couldn't let that inheritance get away either.

YES!!! I have absolutely taught my daughter to NEVER be dependent financially on a man. If he makes good money too then that’s awesome but always have your own and be able to take care of yourself. I wish someone would have given me that advice.
