It just got real to me.
My son, a lineman for the electric co. called and said they sent everyone home. They will get normal pay and 4 men will rotate call every 3 days.
They also were told not allowed to shut service off to anyone for nonpayment.
I really thought they would continue to work as usual.
Nope. They can't chance them being exposed by a fellow employee in the office.
So they will work on call from their own trucks when needed.
Moo

Thank God they’re getting paid.

I believe every person there immediately scrubbed their hands after the PC. Old habits break hard, lol.
Haha! I would not be surprised at all if the Secret Service was standing by to spray alcohol on them. Seriously, I’m not joking. If I was in charge that’s what I would’ve done, LOL.

I tried to place an order with Costco Instacart, same day delivery. Most items that I usually order are still available except toilet paper.
Except : delivery is not on the same day, but will be next Monday. I ordered water, organic cashews to make cashew milk, disinfecting wipes, Pedigree dentastix (on sale), bananas, eggs, veges, frozen fruits, etc. Hope and pray they don't run out of those items until Monday.

Also tried to purchase on Amazon Fresh, but
No water
Fruits and vegetables - very very limited selection. No romaine lettuce.
No eggs
No yogurt
Charmin toilet paper available (surprised)
Almost everything I wanted to purchase is 'out of stock'
(I'm not as prepared as most here are. Wish I had come to this thread earlier)

Grocery store is all I need.

As do many people. But the elderly, those with chronic conditions (40% of America) and those who care for the elderly are trying to stay out of grocery stores for the next couple weeks or any other populated place. They’re trying to hunker down to avoid the incubation period spread.

I will answer all of your questions on May 1. In the meantime: Wash your hands, don't go to crowded places, stay out of people's faces. MOO I'm done with this thread until May 1.

100% and the Response from Gov. Lamont of CT who said, "....if you are coughing and running a fever and live in Fairfield County, assume that you have COVID19". Gov. Lamont and the State of CT seems to believe that COVID19 tests aren't necessary to keep the 3.5 million citizens of the State safe.

PS. CT presently has next to no testing capacity (139 tests to date - 11 cases including community spread so its clear the the virus is present) and a murky and unannounced plan to roll out private testing in coming weeks.
