There is RF living in Canada, I wonder how that will work . Unless they got quick visas under the table... JMO

When I used to live in Canada (over 30 years ago) and got my first Canadian passport, on the inside of the cover it said "A Canadian citizen is a British subject." So not sure today what the status is, since they implemented the commonwealth countries model. So maybe there is a more seamless way for citizens of the UK to travel to Canada and vice versa?

I've seen here in Sweden "facebook local markets", where people can order what they want from local producers, and then meet at a parking lot for the buy. All the members of the group who want to buy, or sell, meet up once every week or every two weeks for the exchange. It takes half an hour or so to do it.
That's a great idea. Maybe they will do that in my area. Everyone loves fresh produce in spring and summer.

Nurse in Madrid says 'going to work is like going to war' as she describes lack of equipment and fear within the hospital

A Spanish nurse working on the frontlines of the coronavirus infections in Madrid has described how her work has turned into a 'warzone,' where she feels 'fear, stress and pain'.

Coral Marino says she's been unable to kiss her six-month-old baby, her husband, or her parents since the pandemic spread to Spain at the end of January.

'The first thing I do when I come home from work is shower and scrub myself down, basically until it hurts. I'm terrified of coughing more than I ought to, of getting a fever, and of being isolated from my family, of not being able to hold or kiss my baby for at least 15 days,' the ER nurse told Business Insider Spain.

DH called to say that he will be late this evening (waiting for tech guy) and will work from home for the next couple of weeks. Company software will be installed on his laptop, and he will have access to inventory and other necessary information. He uses his cell phone for many business-related calls and can use our landline if necessary.

I see birthing centers opening in satellite surgical facilities when all elective surgeries are cancelled.

In Italy they are drafting surgeons and other specialists to treat coronavirus patients. There may not be doctors available.

They are bringing doctors and nurses out of retirement, and accelerating graduations from med and nursing schools... I wonder if veterinarians will eventually be drafted.

OT but since it keeps coming up...

They can stay for up to six months without a visa or official status. (Same rule applies to Americans.) After that they'd need to apply for some sort of status.

I believe Elizabeth is a Canadian citizen.

Eight people at that podium shoulder to shoulder during the US press conference & they keep touching the same podium. Trump, Faucci, Bix, Trump, Faucci, Bix, Pence are all touching the same podium & the microphone...

The UK had 3 different podiums & Boris Johnson and his minsters were about 5 feet apart.

When in need, other people can be trained for basic care. I would be willing if ever needed in this country.

Is anyone else getting in some gardening?

I've been taking advantage of the nice weather and getting some outside prep in. The birds are blissfully unaware of social distancing :p they're singing their hearts out and pairing off. I'll be planting some radish, lettuce, spinach, kale and carrot today. Extra thankful for these seeds and soil this year! The mint is coming in strong... now we just need limes and rum. ;)
I'm heading out to the greenhouse this afternoon to do some planting as well.

I wonder if that vegetable spray you can buy would be effective.
I'll have to look for that. I didn't have any, but I wanted those grapes! They were so good too!
I banned grapes and raisins from my house for about 12 years when I found out how poisonous they were to dogs.
Then I realized my kids are grown and gone, so the dogs cant get them by accident!
An empty nesting plus!
Until the grandbabies can open the fridge at least!

I have, and I swear by it. My colds and flu incidents have diminished quite a bit.

The salt needs to be iodide-free, preservative-free salt. I use sea salt.

Do Neti Pots Really Work?

I would normally agree with you, but please read this:
"And since you may well have been exposed anyhow, remove any coronavirus already around your nose and throat: Wash your hands and face well with soap and warm water, including -- on a finger -- a quarter-inch into each nostril. Then gently blow your nose. DON'T use those irrigating devices, like neti pots, that might force virus further inside! Brush your teeth and tongue, swish and spit, and gargle once or twice with an antiseptic mouthwash."

I was really feeling helpless so I ordered tons of cat food from Chewy.com. I live in a very urban blighted neighborhood where people just don't care. When they let their animals out to fend for themselves they can come here and get food and water. 3 of my cats( nicest in the world) came from the street as they were someone elses throw aways.

Do you ever try the saline solution nose rinse?
I got the Navage irrigation system.
Whoa! That thing was a trip! Very effective! I think it cleared out my eustachian tubes in my ears too! Wow!
Highly recommend it for anyone with sinus issues!
*** PERHAPS NOT RIGHT NOW!
with the coronavirus!

I was going to post this a few days ago and thought it might seem "corny" to some. Now that some of our Websleuths family are dealing personally with this global health crisis, I think this song expresses how many of us feel.

Thank you so, so much for doing this. You are an angel.
