Ok I just have to say this.....I have no connection to either of these parents, just calling it as I see it with the info we have now. Unless and until abuse can be proven on the part of Ron(and what I've seen so far just doesn't cut it-he77 some of those pics shown were ridiculous-I had to get a foot from the tv to even see them) I feel strongly that CS should NOT be given custody of Jr, and I'm not sure she's able to be a good parent to her baby.

Here's why..... she is, in this current situation, being VERY OPPORTUNISTIC, taking advantage of being asked to appear on national tv because she has a missing daughter, but using that air time to sling third party gossip(then it turned to "she" had witnessed abuse) at RC instead of speaking about Haleigh. WHY? Why is she so unconcerned about her missing daughter? Why is she using the national media to accuse RC of abuse when Haleigh is out there somewhere? The media and national audience can not help her custody case BUT they can possibly help find her daughter, so why is she wasting valuable air time on this NOW? If she truly believes the things she says shouldn't she first be concerned with finding Haleigh then fighting her custody battle in the courts? To have a missing child, to be actively looking for them has got to be the MOST physically and emotionally straining, exhausting thing a person could ever go through. I would say a custody battle is up there on the list too. So why is she exhausting energy on a custody battle when every bit of her energy should be used to search for Haleigh? I..I..I just am not getting this with her! And she appears to me to have trouble being able to think and speak a complete sentence. She talks about how MC has changed her story, well people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. She doesn't mention Haleigh missing unless prompted, and even then it feels empty to me, she falls completely flat, where is her heart? I've seen many posts where she is defended because she may have battered womans syndrome or it's implied(I don't buy it, I think she is slow and years of drug use have compounded the problem)and she's been out of RC's home for years now anyway. Even if she is given the benefit of doubt and she is suffering from that, that does not help to make her a fit parent for any child. She seems very fragile to me, easily controlled, easily intimidated, barely able to make decisions for herself, and deceitful (one of those people who may be a good person but still in that immature phase of blaming everyone/anyone else for all the mistakes she's made in her life). I didn't believe in the beginning that she had any part of Haleigh missing but to be honest, I now have to consider it b/c of her actions and disposition, her own words, her lack of passion for her missing daughter. I only want the truth, it doesn't matter to me one way or the other who is guilty. I am still thinking the most likely scenario is that a SP, familiar with the family and area, is the perp but I have now had to include CS in the mix. And yes, MC is also on the list. RC cannot be excluded either, however he is the least of my suspects at this point. Do I think RC has a temper? yeah, I do. Do I think he is capable of being an *advertiser censored**hole? yeah but lots of us can be. However I also think he has a hugh heart, that he loves Haleigh and I know he has used national tv time to plead for his daughter's return, and to tell Haleigh he loves her and he will find her. Isn't that what all parties should be doing at this time? JMHO

So if it is a parent that fails the child because they failed to notice abuse I would have to believe that it is by law the resposibility of all others I mentioned above to act. NO EXCUSE. No free pass. So it is either all or none.

Crystal reported this to the agency twice and her mother several times. I forget what FL calls it at the moment -- the Children's department.

they have both pleaded for thier daughters return on national tv ive seen crystal do it as well .her behavior is because she is bitter at ron for alot of things imho and esp for letting this 17 year old child lose her daughter ..if i remember correctly she wasnt allowed to talk with her children on the phone when she called rons just allowed to talk to ron ? what was that all about ? it was said in the beginning of the case i beleive .. i just want to see little haleigh be brought back home safely this little girl is what matters the most as you have stated in your post as well also some women and men never heal from abuse of a spouse .. it depends on the person

I understand what your saying. But then all other agencies would be at blame for not acting. All of them responded the same way in my opinion. No action was taken. Case closed. We would of heard they were in an on going investigation with SS. We heard they had investigated.

Yes, the agency failed as they often do in parents arguing back and forth. She said/he said. I think it is common.

Texas, your absolutely right. The DCF in Florida is notorious for dropping the ball when it comes to child abuse cases. They are understaffed and ridden with investigators that seem to have an apathy towards these cases. As for friends, neighbors, and families it's such a touchy subject that many just are not willing to get involved. The way the system is set up a wrong accusation can lead to innocent parents having their names in computers for child abuse for years. Another thing is what you and I may constitute as abuse the DCF doesn't. So unless one actually sees a parent smacking a child around in the front yard more than likely most are not willing to get involved.

Thank you for posting this. I didn't get to see it last night, but I did read the posts of some who saw it. It was not at all like I had thought is was from reading the posts. That lawyer who is taking up for Ron was so rude and sat there rolling her eyes. I hope there is a resolution to this case soon and Haleigh is home. I think the case is going cold and it would be awful if she is never found. I do not think she is alive, but I keep hoping I am wrong.

Children fall through the cracks all the time. First thing services, whose job it is to keep the children far away from those cracks, do when one of the children goes missing, is make sure statements are out there that they've investigated complaints thoroughly.

Doesn't make it true, and it doesn't automatically assume they've failed. What it does say is that they've made sure to make a statement stating they did their job.

Time will tell whether they truly did.

She also cares about the welfare of her son who is still in a very questionable environment. This is not a custody battle at all. Crystal is reporting what she feels may constitute child abuse from what she knows and what others are saying. It's the duty of anyone to report abuse when the possiblity exists. Your accusation that Crystal is being "VERY OPPORTUNISTIC" is way over the top and unfounded not to mention slanderist.

The lawyer taking up for Ron works at a terrible disadvantage. I hope she got paid for that. LOL!!!! I wouldn't have wanted the assignment they gave her.:crazy:

also im not postive on this but didnt ron and misty go on national tv before crystal did ? they have been doing the very same things that crystal is being blamed for .. i agree with above post

Actually when on the GR show,Crystal talked about her cousin telling her what she saw,it was in the same sitting she was showing a photo of a verified school accident,saying it was something Ronald did.So,I wondered,why wouldn't "her" cousin tell her this before,if it did happen?And the neighbor of Ronald is actually Player who supports Ronald and says he was a very good father and loves his children very much.

The picture shown was of Haleigh, at least a week post the fall at the school. Marie states that they did not know whether to believe Ron's story at the time that she fell at the school, based on other suspicions they had but could not verify. The picture shows more than what the school indicated, which was a small scrape on the nose. It shows at least two scrapes, and an incredibly swollen sinus area. I'm not saying that it's inconsistent with a fall; I'm saying it was suspicious enough to her mother that she took a picture of it, since they were told she scraped her nose in a fall at the school and she shows up at Crystal's house looking like she lost a fight with Mike Tyson. I would have taken a picture of something like that myself. I would be suspicious. I would wonder. I wouldn't want to outright throw out accusations, but I would question my child as to whether she and her brother are being spanked or hit in any way by anyone. I would keep what I learn and wonder, fearing retaliation.

When Crystal arrives in Satsuma, people begin approaching HER with stories of things they've seen, what they've heard. Given the high profile of Haleigh's disappearance, a pro bono family court attorney steps in to help. As to why her cousin didn't tell her before, I cannot answer. What I know is that when Crystal finally has someone other than herself making claims of abuse toward those children, she feels secure enough that she does something about it, and she has an attorney that can't be so easily cowed as Crystal can be.

Hold on Texasmommy, I live in Satsuma, although I've only been here 6 months. Do you think everyone in Satsuma hangs out with this bunch of misfits? It's very clear that RC has a reputation here and I'm quite sure that family members on both sides are intimadated by him. People always should do the right thing, but sometimes they just don't. Take the school Haleigh went to for instance, with all those absents don't you think they should have stepped in more than just sending out a letter? Commonsense says until this case is resolved Ron Jr. needs to be removed from this questionable invironment he's in, yet that isn't happening is it?

Haleigh's missing. Seems that the one adult and one teenager whose job it was to make sure she was safe didn't protect her. I think it's fair to focus on that.

I find it hard to believe that someone could intentionally inflict injuries in the same place days later and not cause MORE injury and possible life threatening. In the heat of the moment no one would be so talented and fortunate.

debs, you hit the nail on the head and are so right. This was not a random abduction and one adult and one teenager are responsible for all this. Can anyone guarentee Junior's safety at this point?
