Wait! What? Can you/someone please tell me about the deer incident please? Thank you!!
The Daily Mail article posted here yesterday, explained that when FD was questioned about the front end, left side damage to the Land Rover he explained it away as to hitting a deer just prior to the nanny running over his mother. It says in the article that FD’s mother had asked the nanny to turn on the headlamps to see if they were operable, so I wonder if there was already damage (as shown in photos) to the Land Rover and there’s possibly some truth here. I do feel like many here that it’s odd the nanny stayed on for 2 or more years after the death of his mother. It just seems like a game changer to me! I’m guessing there’s a shortage of Greek speaking nannies in Connecticut, let alone nannies with drivers licenses?

The quote of his explaining how he was in Italy, and his mother’s history of falling down. He shows zero regard or remorse. Sociopath.

Yep! He is disgusting. I wonder how his dad died.

Thinking more about MT. If my husband and I were arrested for a crime (which would never happen, btw, we are law-abiding and kind!) and if we were separated like MT and DF now are, my thoughts would continue to be with my husband and I would automatically and willingly continue to see us as a team, as partners through thick and thin. I would want to free myself but all free him of all accusations.

But, I'm guessing neither MT nor DF is thinking like that. IMO, they are hoping the other doesn't screw it up, but each would be willing to screw it up for the other if it is his/her benefit.

Just pondering, doing a character study in my head...

In the police report, that is what FD said the nanny told him the police told her at the time of the accident. So third hand info. I'm not sure I would trust a single thing uttered by FD ever. MOO.

FD controlled a lot of the narrative in this accident.

One question I have is the report states that the grandma was laying on the driveway and I think it sounded like the car was moved out of the way. But nobody mentioned moving grandma. So did the nanny drive the rest of the way over her after hitting her with the front of the car, or did she reverse back over her, or did they move her away from the car?

I just compared the two departments and NC's is substantially larger. Will go back and look to see the size of the Town Budgets and allocation for Police as that should tell the story. The Town of New Canaan has one of the largest budgets in the State for a town its size, even when compared to some of its neighbors. Don't know much about Farmington but will see what the size of their annual Budget is.
A lot of C-level and hedge fund-type folks live in NC. Money and power buy protection. They also, sadly, as someone pointed out here earlier, have a disproportionately high rate of domestic violence. And how much of that goes unreported or gets swept under the rug. It's been a huge and well-known problem in NC for many years.

I don't see him as a "team player", I see this guy as a "what's in it for me" and all about him. He had the perfect team, imo...a lovely wife and beautiful children, means and a lifestyle that most will never live, and at one time a successful business. He sabotaged is all and destroyed it and the lives of many others. Side piece is dumber than dumb if she stays loyal in any way to him.

I hope so, but if she talked, wouldn't they have the body by now? Still seems like they are searching in different areas, following more than one lead but not not following specific info.

IMO, she doesn't have any incentive to talk at this point. I think she's holding out info about the location until/if she is actually charged with murder. Then, I think she'll talk. She is in especially good position if they charge for murder without the body - then she can say, "Make me a deal and I'll tell you where to find Jennifer."

MT is stone cold, imo. Right now, I think she is biding her time with the ankle bracelet - working on a defense on the charges she currently faces, which don't have that long of a sentence if she is convicted of them.

BBM:

LE may have the body by now. FD's home was secured overnight by LE. We don't know what we don't know.

In the Berreth murder case, the side piece there (KK), struck a deal w/ the DA very, very quickly...before she was even arrested on any charges. In that case, the side piece has seen no jail time yet whatsoever. Nor will she, until the end of the killer's trial, and possibly not even then.

We can only hope MT is not the recipient of such a sweetie beauty of a deal in this case.

I suspect MT's family immediately sat her down after bailing out her leathery hide and applied the pressure on her to do the right thing, and by the right thing here, I mean saving her said hide and sparing them any further public shame and humiliation.

She likely also has good legal counsel, who doubtless encouraged her to do the same.

In the absence of any conscience, her motivation for squealing is solely her own selfish interests.
(Personally, I like the word, "squealing" much more than "singing." It's so much more apropos.)

JMO.

Crazy. So it happened just prior to 7:00 pm. Where I live (WA) it is still full on daylight at 7:00 pm in September. Is it dark enough in CT at that time that grandma would be so concerned over headlights? I would have assumed that if my Honda and Acura from that time period had automatic headlights a Land Rover would be too.

Fotis tried really hard to distance himself from that accident. He started and ended the statement by pointing out that he was in Italy. It is also weird that he translated the nanny’s statement.
Yes, the whole thing is weird. I'm not sure if beginning or end of September, but yes it could be quite dark then here. Why wasn't she charged at least with operating a vehicle without a license? All very strange.

I would guess the same. Since both of them are cold ambitious self serving sociopaths, I'd think one wouldn't hesitate to rat out the other if it helped their own situation. With people like this, I wonder if they're capable of deep feelings and loyalty for and towards one another.

He was probably doing what other good Gigolos do when they're
traveling and spending their wife's money.

Referring to him as a gigolo makes it sound like he was JD’s male escort. He wasn’t a gigolo.

Do you know who hit the deer? Was it the unlicensed nanny before she hit the grandmother? I don't even know if it was really a deer that caused the damage. He seems to have a lot of excuses. Truth really is stranger than fiction.

You are so very right. It is a huge problem around here.

Thank you! I looked it up and that say in September the sunset was at about 7:10. So not dark enough to really need headlights but not out of the question. I’ve never had a passenger tell me to put my lights on though. All so weird. I guess in my town the sunsets at 7:30 that day in September. It doesn’t get dark until later though. I can’t wait for shorter days. It’s bright past 9pm right now and it is light by 5!
