All of this brings me to ask, does he even own a vehicle with a trunk that would conceal her when he brought her back to Mt. Spring, if he did? There have been SUVs and a black pick up truck, but they don't have trunks. So, how did he conceal her when he took her from Wells to wherever he disposed of her?

I'm confused about the metal drum at the house.

Do you think it was his plan to dispose of her in that and he already had it at the house? Or could there have been one there for some construction purpose or he went out and got one after they brought her there?

What are your thoughts?

How would he have lifted it? He seems he would have needed a small truck, certainly he could not have gotten it into a SUV.
Maybe he planned ahead and dug a hole out back of Mt. Spring, put the barrel in and brought her backthat afternoon, ut her in and put the lid on and covered the hole.

These are mystery stories that are solved by the observation skills, cleverness, and good common sense of these 5 kids; with tolerant, patient, supportive adults aplenty. Rather like WebSleuths, really.

One volume includes an airplane (ski plane, IIRC) with an altered number on the fuselage. The oldest 2 kids sat down with pencil & paper and figured out what the number may have been without the TAPE. Of course, when whichever patient adult was around took them to check with authorities, the number they suggested was indeed a stolen plane.

Probably not the only literary model for this deception.

Wonder if the books are delivered monthly to the Dulos children, or even to MT's daughter?

Great post, as usual, @afitzy! Giving us a lot to think about!

This is my response to the OP asking for thoughts on whether Jennifer could be alive. I think a lot about the banging of metal at the Fore House in New Canaan.

I’m not sure if it’s because I have 2 sons in the film and tv business and thus I keep thinking about what happened to Jennifer, about how this case will end and how a movie would be written & filmed.

Anyway, IMO, I think that FD and MT camped out at the Fore Group owned house in New Canaan Thursday night (or maybe stayed at a hotel near New Canaan - NC doesn’t have hotels/motels or didn’t used to).

Regardless where they slept, they prepared the property or something at the property to take JD there after abducting/kidnapping/harming her on Friday morning.

Whatever happened, whatever they did to Jennifer at her NC rental home on Welles Rd, it’s obvious, IMO, that something went wrong. Something, unexpectedly, caused JD to lose a large amount of blood. FD and MT attempted to clean up the blood, but may have been interrupted by the maid’s arrival & (no, never mind, that part doesn’t work).

Anyway, according to my theory of JD being alive... she was taken, unconsciously, by FD & MT to the Fore house in NC, where she was placed inside a metal drum and left for dead. And where they’d return later to take care of JD’s body & the drum.

FD & MT then went to do whatever they did in Farmington and then to Hartford to get rid of 30 bags and a Fed Ex box containing altered plates.

During the evening/night they purchased/obtained chemicals. Before arriving at the NC property, early the next morning, Jennifer “came to” and began banging on the metal drum trying to get out or to get help.

However, due to the amount of blood loss and her other injuries, she died. FD & MT returned to Fore Group NC house with the chemicals and poured them into the metal drum (ala Breaking Bad) that contained Jennifer’s body and then drove it to a body of water and, after applying weights, threw it in the water.

Or maybe they buried it.

OK I just realized it’s after 2am, I’m tired and I’m rambling! All the above is MOO!

Hoping today they release info that they have found her. Someone stated that the time frame to dismember likely wouldn’t fit the act, my stomach is doing flips - ugh. However, in the 5 bags found on their dumpster run, MSM reported that JD’s clothing was found among blood and cleaning supplies. I guess this is what makes me jump to dismemberment. If you kill someone and are just getting rid off their body , why remove clothing? Feel sick

It's not so hard to lift a barrel w/ a 100 lb. body inside. FD was
pretty strong and probably still had excess adrenaline pumping.
You lift one end at a time. I do this with 100 plus lb. bales of hay.
End over end and they get moved.

I don't think it was specifically reported that it was JD's clothing that was found, but clothing in general was mentioned. IMO

For me it was The Bobbsey Twins and then Nancy Drew and then Ann Rule and then Websleuths!

In attempting to put together the puzzle that is FORE Group I stumbled upon a Houzz entry that details over 20 projects done by the company:

Will backtrack when I have time to try to figure out potental profits over time. Rarely go wrong following the money trail IMO!

I was trying to research some of this myself in the early am hours but was using my cell phone, instead of my desktop, and the sites were too hard to navigate with a phone.

I’d be curious to know more about 2 Jefferson Crossing. Was it one of the earlier houses built? A quick google search shows names associated with that property. Two names caught my attention. They were the names of his first ex, as well as the name of HER father. I’m wondering if his first FIL helped him jumpstart his career initially.
