From the Ct Court Case Lookup Site these are the FOUR charges against MT. I hadn’t noticed before that the site has listed TWO Tampering with Physical Evidence charges. Don’t know if one is an error or if there is something of which we’re unaware. One is dated as happening on 5/24/2019 and the other on 5/26/2019. Any guesses??? (By my recollection she would have been in jail on Sunday May 26th….but maybe the rumors about MT deleting files on a computer at the hotel where she was arrested could be true?????)

53a-54a CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT MURDER CLASS B FELONY

53a-155 TAMPERING PHYSICAL EVIDENCE CLASS D FELONY

53a-155 TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE CLASS D FELONY

53Aa-155 HINDERING PROSECUTION 1ST DEGREE CLASS C FELONY

I don’t think she can wiggle her way out of the 3 Class D and C charges which might not carry heavy sentences.

However, I believe she could receive the lesser charge for murder which would be 25 years if she is convicted of the Conspiracy to Commit Murder Charge.

Am looking through the search warrant and arrest warrants to see what might be obvious for the conspiracy to commit murder charge. I think it will be fairly easy to do.

Pleased that Colangelo has responded to Schoenhorn's silly motion. Hopefully the legal concepts will be upheld.

Especially pertinent, IMO, is the fact that the felony counts need to stay in one court to save money, time, and resources. If MT is really anxious to get the legal system moving, she'd be well advised to have her attorney quit filing motions....she'll save money, too!

JUST IN: (1/4) Chief State’s Attorney Rich Colangelo has filed his objection to Michelle Troconis’ request for a venue change. Her attorney wants the case heard in Hartford rather than Stamford.

Man, Colangelo really nailed it. It's apparent that he has little regard for her new attorney as his motions seemed inadequate.
Did we know that she was involved in disposing of the bloody back seats?
That was news to me.
I had this sinking feeling that she would now slip through the cracks due to Covid etc.
Sounds like Colangelo ain't gonna let that happen.

Valiante Gets 8 Years for Helping Navin Murder His Parents

Jennifer Valiante was charged with conspiracy to commit murder and hindering prosecution while her boyfriend, Kyle Navin killed his two parents, in 2015, in Easton, CT. It doesn't mention it in this article, but I did read that she also bought clorox, paper towels, trash bags, etc from Home Depot to clean up the bloody mess, similar to MT. She was sentenced to only 8 years after plea bargaining. Actually, it was 16 years, suspended after 8.

The Navin case didn't get a lot of national media attention as JFd's case has gotten. But, they also found the bodies of both parents wrapped in tarps and buried under brush at a friend's house.

There is hope that MT will go to prison. She's been charged with a lot more and I don't think she'll get away with it.

I remember this case very well living in CT at the time. I think MT will proclaim her (non) "innocence" up to the "guilty" verdict. 8 years would be better than nothing.

8 years is nothing. I'd like to see her serve that much - consecutively - for each of just these two charges. And LIFE for the Conspiracy to Commit/Murder charge.

A completely innocent mother of five children and daughter of a loving mother is gone forever (perhaps God only knows where) and this despicable creature was in on it after years of torturing JFD and her children and JFD's mother with her sociopathic, and entirely self-serving antics.

Let her take her act to prison where she will be among more of her own kind. And she can take her newfound religion with her.

Heh-if she does go to prison, that newfound religion won’t go with her. That’s just for show. And while I am with you on “8 years is nothing”, to her it will be a loooong time...unfortunately, I don’t think she will be sentenced to consecutive terms, and it would surprise me very much if she serves a full 8 years, the way people regularly get released early. This chick doesn’t suffer the consequences of her actions, it seems. She just moves on from crappy relationship to crappy relationship, collecting what she can from them. I don’t doubt that she feels she shouldn’t have trusted Fd...the real question is, for what did she trust him, and what did he drop the ball on? Was she supposed to trust him to keep her from getting arrested for this as long as she provided an alibi for him? Maybe she was supposed to trust that he wasn’t going to dip out and leave her holding the dirty diaper?

The sentence for the Conspiracy to Commit Murder, if I'm reading it correctly, is the minimum for felony murder. (Felony murder is 25 years to life) Hopefully, if convicted on that charge she would get the 25-year sentence, but I agree that this is not likely. Since the person who was accused of murder wasn't tried and can't be tried, I don't know how the State will approach the trial and sentencing.

If MT goes to trial, she might get the full 25 years, but if she pleas, she might only get 8 as Jennifer Valiante did.

JV's boyfriend, Kyle Navin, received 55 years for killing his parents, to be served concurrently.

These are just my thoughts, but why does the judicial system seem too lax when it comes to sentencing for murder in a lot of cases.

This speaks to the rage that he unleashed on her. Did he use something he brought with him on the bike? Something in her garage, that he took with him when he left? Something that he hid in the woods behind her house on the 22nd, that he picked up as he snuck through there? Or just his bare hands? With that kind of splatter under the car, it was ugly and brutal. It is terrible to have to relive the tragedy that befell poor JD, over again each time a new piece of evidence is revealed.
I agree that there is going to be more unveiled that will be telling. On KM, too, as well as MT. It is coming. MT is on borrowed time. And KM is getting used to his new reality.
