Deborah has admitted that her baby disappeared while she was drunk. The circumstances surrounding Lisa's disappearance are suspect. Although I am an advocate for families wrongly accused of neglect/abuse, I would say that Deborah should not be around the children unless it is supervised visitation until CPS investigates her home and past history. She might be an alcoholic or she might be a self medicating bipolar. There is no way to tell if the children are safe until that home is investigated.

I know, right I thought that box o' wine was gonna play into this somehow - because box o' wine gets ya cheap arss drunk in no time. This is MY experience only. Drank it once, never drank it again. I hope to God that the manufacturers make better wine than they did 10 years ago that are not chock full o' sulfites.

In any case, it's sad to hear this. Why did she get plastered that night? The first night SO (significant other, not sex offender) was working the night shift? Is this a habit?

What if she wasn't really drunk and she is saying this to save herself from blame? The lawyer may have told her to say that to the press. JMO The cops will know if she was drunk that night, I hope.

This is why I will never understand why it's not SOP to do drug and alcohol testing on the people present when an abduction or accident involving a child occurs.

On this "drinking problem" - I'd think if she was an alcoholic, or had a drinking problem, her current-soon-to-be-ex-husband (or his family) would have gone public with this fact - and would have tried to get custody of the son.

Not necessarily. She may come from a family of enablers, and her husband's family may have no idea.

I think DB smothered Lisa, probably by accident, and staged an abduction the best she could.

A drunk accident is different than a sober accident, and DB knew it, and she was going to do whatever she could to take the blame off herself.

Smothering is something I was thinking too. If Lisa was in the bed with her mom and her son came in too, maybe she was suffocated.

I don't think a baby falling from a changing table would be deadly, though. IMO My son rolled off the changing table when he was a newborn, and nothing happened. Hubby didn't think he could roll over yet. Knucklehead!

To me his look is that of shame..not that he hurt his daughter but he didnt protect her.

He knew Debra drank alot..and left his children alone with her. This I am sure is not new bbehavior for her.

It could also be that she doesn't drink a lot regularly, therefore the wine (especially if it wasn't chilled) could have hit her like a bomb.

I am just amazed that now all of a sudden we believe what she is saying. And we are believing the media. Unless I missed it, this information came from a tweet. Please correct me if I am wrong. And just because she was drinking doesn't mean she is a killer or would hide her daughter's body. To me that is a huge leap. I certainly don't like it, but I am going to wait for the interview to form my opinion on this. jmo

ITA. Babies take spills from changing tables, beds, etc. all the time and bounce right back.

On this I will believe there is a strong possibility she did have too much to drink, especially since there is proof (video) of her buying the box of wine at 5:00pm that evening.

I may very well be wrong but I thought only one of the boys was a military dependant. The other belongs to Lisa's father, who is a civilian. Besides, the additional allowance for the son who is a dependant would be paid to the military member, imo, not the member's wife unless there was a divorce ~ and we know they're not divorced.

I don't think this family is receiving any monies designated by the armed forces. If they get anything, it would probably be because of the father's own personal ethics and responsibility.

Yes the money for the dependent goes to the active duty service member. However, there are regulations that stipulate that the service member must provide for the child. If the service member is not then there is recourse for that by regulation even if there isn't a divorce. How much and how often is up to the parents and sometimes the chain of command will tell a service member that is not supporting a child to cut the carp and take care of business. All this Mother would have to do in order to obtain money would be to contact her congressperson to get that ball rolling. And it rolls hard when a child is concerned. But that is off topic to me because I don't think that is a factor in Lisa going missing. Just adding to what you said. (also posting it in case someone knows someone that can't get help from an active duty parent for a recognized child).

One other thing is that we don't know if there is a legal seperation here.

Sure they would. Still, KCPD has 40 unsolved homicides in just 2010 alone. I bet those families would like the NG searching for their loved one too. I think there's more to this than a buzzed momma.

I Think they already know what happened or somewhat know. moo Going to grandjury on tues. Maybe they are getting close to where lisa is and shes spilling this out now. moo
