No time to bruise like we see bruises on our own body. Only an Me would be able to tell. I found some pics of Devon and I can see the necklace. This has me posing a question, Could have the killer ( Darlie or SHCSCC w BBJ ) TRIPPED over Devon. I've done it myself in broad daylight, trying to navigate my way to the bathroom, when my kids were on the den floor watching T.V
This is what wakes him up. He wouldn't automatically start fighting his mom if he saw her but a stranger would have evoked a quicker response. Darlie would have to stab him first before he would have started fighting her. In other words she would have to lose his trust first. Devons wounds were inflicted- while he was laying down, while he was standing up. Both???????????????
None of Devons death is in the trial transcripts. I did find a site justice for darlie that seems to have the transcripts

No, I don't mean she'd be covered in bruises. But I think any type of struggle would have made her worry. It wouldn't have to be horrible bruises. And she wouldn't know then if they would be bad or not. If somebody was kicking or hitting me, I'd be worried I'd have some boo-boos.
I was wondering if an M.E. could analyze Darlie's bruises on her arms. They do it all the time, the person is dead of course, but they know about all different sorts of bruises. Who testified about those? I forget.
Tripped over him on her way to where? He was not in her path. He was not in the way. So I don't think she or anybody else tripped over him.
I think the first wound was delivered while he was still asleep. So that means I don't think he stood up, but I am pretty sure he fought. The stab wound on his butt goes downward. The 2 on his chest are listed as "no direction", meaning she can't tell if they were from underneath or above. Would "no direction" mean he was stabbed from the front, straight on with no angle? Or does it just mean she can't tell?
Remember Darlie was only on trial for murdering Damon. The link to both autopsy reports are listed on the page I posted for you. I think we tend to focus more on Damon, because she was charged with killing him and not Devon. Also with Damon staying alive for so long, there is more evidence.

A friend and I are in a heated argument over Darlie's bruises. We were discussing the case and she is a fence sitter for sure. The topic of bruises came up and she went ballistic. I had her read all about them in this forum, and she will not budge. She does not understand how they got there, if not for someone (other than Darlie) putting them there. She can hang with me on the blood evidence and most other things, but loses it on the bruise issue.
Since I have had her read all that is here, anyone else have a site I could send her to for further explanation? May not do any good though, I feel her fence days are almost over and she will fall into the campfire.

Well what can I say??? There are people who just don't want to see what is so plainfully easy to see. If she could slash her own neck and stab her two boys as horribly as she did, what is so God awful about brusing herself? I mean come on! If I had to choose, I'd rather bruise my own arms than slash my own neck, but that's just me. If this is the only thing holding her on that fence, I'd say she likes it up there.

I have to agree with Jeana and Windchime. Darlie has committed one of the most heinous crimes there is to date taking the life of her two children that bruises to herself seem to be nothing in comparison to what she has done. Stabbing yourself, and cutting ones own throat is not a walk in the park.
What Darlie did to cover her tracks is more brutal than many of those that have tried to disguise their crimes that came before her. (*J. MacDonald, Diane Downs)

If your friend is still a fence sitter, I don't believe anything will be able to be convincing enough if the bruises are keeping her on the fence.

We had a member once whose husband copied down the recorded 911 tape and she says she swears she heard a male voice in the backround during that call saying several times "give me the knife." I never heard it myself, but that would fit in with your theory above.

Mine would too. Which leaves me with the impression that Darlie HAD to know that Darin would not. Otherwise, she would have done it while he was gone or stabbed him first. Something made it known to her that it would somehow end up okay. . .

That is what I wanted to say "p" whipped! I mean if anyone ever was, it was him! I think darin was kind of nerdy looking and then here is darlie looking like a playmate, I guess he would have done anything for her. I wish that would of them would spill the beans or something! I dont think though that those boys did not make any noise that night while being stabbed. I have heard some say its possible they did not make a sound, I cant imagine that. I would think darin heard something. He then would help her stage it. I dont know if it was premeditated though, did anyone ever say if they thought it was? It seems to me that she would have set the stage for it by sleeping downstairs with them?
