Based on his "footprint", we have no idea who JW was for most of his life pre-Autobahn, only that he has lied to LE recently and fabricated his resume. He took a race car driving course. Has he had any other skills, training, career path? It's as though he sprung up out of nowhere, born, or re-born, legitimized by the Autobahn position (PR+ media specialist, trainer, program director), friends he made there and through a bit of amateur racing, a membership card in the karting culture, but that other than the made-up JW, no historical JW.
I doubt he was fired from Autobahn for fraternizing. It's not an uptight corporation. Even the way he got the job was informal and other than some driving background, he had no qualifications in promotion/media/program coordination--even working with kids as a tutor!
His claim to fame was his Autobahn stint, which he parlayed into "personal assistant to a CEO in Washington."
The real resume I piece together reads like a typical small-time scammer's bio. Huge chunks of the past are obliterated with a current identity forged through a kind of infiltration made possible by self-inflation, some applicable skill-set, and mainly bsing--getting to an influential person in a culture or organization, appearing to be "just the person" it needs right now!
From there, the charmer grows a circle of fans, customers, clients, co-workers who, until he burns them out, will proclaim him the nicest, most solid person in the world. His or her FB will sport photos, testimonials, job duties, groups he belongs to, names of "friends" who DO check out, all creating the illusion that he's on- the- level whoever he is at this time: Head of Save the Tigers in India or Most Promising Race-Car Driver of the Year.
It has never been so easy as it is today to craft a "paper identity" from bits and pieces, photos being key. One can purchase a press kit via PRweb, endorsements via online "consortiums/foundations/exclusive corporate mentors' clubs." One current job achieved with smooth talk, and voila! Next thing you know the local newspaper does a feature article...

So fitting that JW would have the Mosler registration on him. He might not have been sure what he would do with it, but these types like to nick real documents like arts and crafts hobbyists collect yarn and buttons. He didn't pinch the reg out of sentiment. He figured he could use it for something.

It is not legal for an employer to divulge the reason for firing an employee. The off-the- record tip is tricky too. In most cases of suspected workplace theft or fraud, no big legal production is made as it's costly, difficult to prove a case, and shines an unwanted spotlight.

I'm guessing Autobahn is not the first place to fire JW and regret ever having fallen for his bull.
I'm guessing "Personal Assistant" will be his last position before he's laundry detail.

JMO/GUT FEELING/PURE SPECULATION

It's not illegal to tell why a company fired an employee, but it's not good business sense.

I think some of JW's time before Autobahn was spent in Texas. Found a few tidbits, but am unable to pull together a real timeline.

Have we seen a full name and DOB in public records or the media? I recall that someone found a court case for a vehicle registration or tags problem. I don't recall seeing his details.

DW was an ex con, gang member. JW was a college kid with a cop for a father. I doubt they hung out together at all. JMO

I saw a photo before all the SM was taken down of a FB friend of DW at the Autobahn race track. It was in 2013, so I thought that was a bit of a stretch. I only add it now to show there could easily be plenty of cross-over.

IF DW went around like a raving lunatic all the time, he would have been an obvious psychopath. I think it's far more likely that he flew under the radar, except when his rage came out. As long as DW's happy, everybody's happy. JMO

I wonder. Except for when he goes off, it seems like he has mostly been described (by his dad's neighbors, for example) as quiet. I don't think he went around looking like the monster in his mug shots most of the time. If we didn't know what he's been accused of doing, would we look at him twice? JMO

I guess it would depend on how much people knew about him and how chatty his family and neighborhood was. (I don't know if people knew about all of his brushes with the law and the threats and restraining orders, etc., but that might be noteworthy if so.) But if he was lower-key and nicer in his hood than he was, say, at AIW, and with his family, maybe he was neighborhood wallpaper and went unnoticed. IDK!

DW wasn't always a "gangster." At one point, he was an aspiring Marine. And he came from a well-respected" nice family too.

There's a big hole from when JW played football...to when he got his "dream job" at Autobahn. I wonder if he was ever in trouble with the law? Maybe something expunged from his record?

His departure from Autobahn seems very abrupt. In March, he was still in ads for lessons. Most firings these days require a lengthy period of "documentation" etc. I wonder if SS really needed a "driver" or if he was just being a nice guy and helping a young man out with a temp job till he found something else?

Emailed a young reporter who did a piece for the Capital Gazette. She said the school system confirmed JW's graduation from Annapolis HS and the football info was from a previous report they did. I doubt the earlier reporter questioned JW's veracity about football when doing a story on go-carting. So, I'm still not sold on him playing football for Annapolis HS (a football power house!) Will let everyone know if she comes back with confirmation he was a jock and will be salting my hat. A salt shaker emoji sure would come in handy...

But DW would not be a peer of JW's. DW was a violent ex-con, and a gang member, a thief. JW , 7 years younger, was a middle class college kid who wanted to join NASCAR. How are they peers ?

If you looked at either of these peoples' facebook pages before they were taken down, there was a cross section of friends for each - young and old, employed and not, clean cut and rough-looking. It would be comforting to think that bad guys all hung out together and left the rest of us alone, but that's not true. Following this case has made me feel very vulnerable, because it shows how permeable the barrier is between my life and a vast underworld. Just because someone cleans up nicely doesn't mean s/he is a good person. And wearing a wife-beater and dreads or braids doesn't make someone a criminal (although obviously these can coincide.)

IMO if there was any link btwn JW and DW the police would have arrested JW. Apparently his story has checked out via independent sources. Tomorrow will be five weeks since the murder. JW was the first one investigated. IMO he's been determined to be only a witness and not involved

You could very well be right. And I hope you are. This map doesn't indicate the two addresses that are 348 yards away. Those addresses are 5301 and 5303 85th. It seems a popular neighborhood for members of each respective family to live.

This case is getting more and more interesting all the time. Not so much with the amount of nformation but the many ways they could be interpreted. I sometimes go off on a tangent; Take the "red" lined money bag. Judas had a money bag too and he not the bag is often associated with the color red. I don't think SeSe can just leave their posts because they think something interesting is happening across Mass Ave. They have to have (shared?) jurisdiction to traipse around the crime scene.

JW's parents were divorced. His Mom had a nice house that she got in the divorce. So JW might have lived with Mom instead of Dad. But even if he did live with his Dad, I thought I had read that his Dad was LE. Would his Dad want JW hanging out with a gangster in the neighborhood? Would they even have anything in common?

Also, 348 feet sounds very close. But how many other 'doors' were also within that 348 feet? Were there dozens of other apartments within that area? It looks like it is 2 huge apartment complexes. If it was two little houses just 348 feet apart, then I would assume they met each other. But if it is 348 feet full of other apartments, then it lessens the likelihood, imo.

Unless he was estranged from his dad, it seems like it would be normal for him to visit his apt on occasion over 5 years. There were probably lots of doors in 348 feet. From what we know about JW vs DW, I wouldn't jump to conclusion that they were buddies. I mean, that would be wild, but I'm not sure DW would be good for JW's "personal brand". However, it seems difficult to deny that that kind of proximity between families gives the two men the opportunity to know each other or know OF each other.

JW is known to have lied during the investigation of a gruesome mass slaying, and appears not to be in trouble with the law at this moment. Just sayin'. It takes a lot for a cop's kid to land in trouble with the law, me thinks. You try that and see how it works out for you.

I sound like I'm beating a drum here. I'm just saying I think there's plenty of probable cause to keep looking at him.

I'm sure there's a grand jury investigation happening. Hopefully there are some good sleuths in there to assist the prosecutors.

If there was probable cause he'd be in jail. As for the grand jury sleuthing, they do not do that. Essentially, they do what the prosecutor wants them to do. And there's no reason to question the prosecutor in this case.

The DC metropolitan area is huge. There are a lot of families between these two locations. I really think there is a lot of O/T (over thinking) going on about JW - since DW has indicated others. At this point I continue to think he is not whom DW might be alluding to.

We don't know much about what JW was.
But yours is a point well-taken. It is difficult to see how they would connect up.
Opportunities for crime can bring people together, however, if only for temporary, mutual gain.

Case in point. For the past three years, a charming bank teller has been on the straight and narrow. Petty crime in her teens, a proclivity to workplace theft leading to a spotty job history, but NO criminal record, just set-backs along the path. So she keeps having to go back to the first floor.
Three years ago she reinvented herself through FB and a false resume. Now the bank is eyeing her for management.


Problem. Surrounded with cash and believing herself to be the next Kiri te Kanawa, she needs big bucks to finance a rise to opera stardom. When a guy from the old neighborhood appears at her window, HEY! He knows a crew specializing in small-town bank robberies, run by a SERIOUS criminal, yours for ten thousand. Later, no one will believe the two of you could possibly be connected...

After all, she dresses in Laura Ashley and "Shark Face" from the old hood wears a fork in his nose.

In any case, crew will be in and out of the bank in minutes.

If plan falls apart? All she did was put the money in a green bag like they told her to.

Even the geniuses at Webslueth.com will never figure it out.
