I'd like to understand better:

Do you think this a politically-motived crime? As in, someone targeted the family because of their politics or for political gain? What does that theory look like?

Also, are you suggesting that the family was targeted strictly because of their race? I think the going notion is that they were targeted because of their wealth and success (and because of some personal contempt held by the perps).

Well SS got a lot of high profile contracts from city and federal governments but what would be the odds of any competitor finding an ex-employee to be the hitman?

Regarding Wint and his motivation for this crime, I don't think it had anything to do with race. He committed atrocities against his own family. I think he's just a mean, hateful and evil being. In my belief, the Savopoulos were targeted for their location, wealth and history with Wint.

So far the only trace evidence we know about is the pizza crust. If this remains the case it is fair to assume that perhaps DW was not the last one to leave the house. Maybe someone else was tasked with final cleanup? It also means that this was a very methodical crime. DW graduated from traffic violations beating up girls, and attacking someone with a knife to this crime??
I believe this crime was planned and perpetrated by someone with knowledge of sophisticated criminal craft. Where could DW have learned such things?

It does sound like new news in the VM. I'm not sure I hear anything that makes the two sound unusually close. But it was a call about logistics. That said, I'm not sure I ever got the impression that they were all super close, just that NG had worked there for over 20 years or something. That's a long time. At the very least you'd get to know someone a bit. But is she Alice in the Brady Bunch? Probably not.

If she just learned of the dojo from AS the week prior, I find it highly unlikely NG would have been in the loop with JW about a package drop-off yet she said she spoke to JW on Thursday and confirmed he dropped off the cash at the house.

NG has attempted to portray herself not only close to the family but that both SS and AS possibly saved her life by repeatedly telling her not to come to the house on Thursday. NG came to the scene and she has spoken repeatedly to the media. If she isn't being looked at as a suspect, I'll be very surprised.

The second voicemail I think is same one from before but I can't hear the scream in the background like we could before (thankfully but still.)What I can hear is a metal click or similar at beginning.

Wondering if this is a knife against the chair or a gun click?

Also, wondering why they chose to release the one from Amy to NG.

I'm local and hope this sweet family gets justice soon.

I think NG is the one choosing to release messages. I'm sure she is the one who released the first message to the media.

There is a strange noise at the very end of that voice mail, too. Right around the time that he says "Thanks Nelly". Can anyone make that out?

DW's preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 2nd. Different thing.

Unless the DNA is DW's brother in which case DNA would be almost identical. - could they even tell a difference?

It wouldn't be almost identical, but it would show that they're brothers. I remember reading about a case where a rapist was caught because his brother's DNA showed up in another crime. Crazy!

That is a tough one. I bet I have the DNA and fingerprints all over my house from my son's friends, neighbors, the two guys working on our stairs, the people who rented my house while we were gone, my coworker, my girlfriends who just came over....

That said, you'd think someone extreme enough to be able to commit those atrocious acts would have DNA on file and pop up. Maybe DW was the brawn and others didn't spend as much time at the house, or had more limited involvement. (Said no thx to the pizza.)

JW's every word is being obsessed over because he and the poor Hk are the only two people besides DW is allowed to be discussed on this forum. I have been a member here for a very long time, longer than my profile states. Everyone is hanging on every sentence this guy willing volunteered,yet we don't even know the names of DW close relatives and associates. The convoy, girlfriend, family member all get their identities and conversations protected. I don't care if it is a LE tactic,it looks political but there again, not allowed to talk politics, race on this case. what if this was a hate crime perpetrated by two family members? Is it ok to dissect and trash W1 yet not address the elephant in the room?

BBM. I believe the information is being withheld in order to protect the investigation and to ensure a fair trial.

I think the investigators need to look at every burglary/robbery reported throughout that huge metro area and compare the household support staffs to see if there are links. I doubt this crime started with the S family and it is more far-reaching than any of us realize. The murders very well could be racially motivated or terrorist related. We just don't know at this point.

The "saved my life" makes me crazy. She was working for another client on Thursday because she had already made plans to work at the dojo Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday instead of at the S house on Thursday. From the beginning NG has spun the story for maximum drama, and it has changed moment to moment. Working for a family for 20 years is a long-term business relationship, but it doesn't make them friends. I believe she tried to make it sound like they were personally close because it made her (NG) seem more central to the tragedy.

ETA: I have no doubt they have looked at her closely. That is why it's interesting to me that SWs, etc., related to her, which would be needed for the case and also to clear her, haven't been released like some of the others.

Prisons and jails are filled with bitter, hardened criminals wanting not just to get out but to also get payback. The current NY manhunt is just one example of criminals and their far-reaching imprint.

I wondered that, too, until I remembered that at least one woman gave up info about getting instructions and cash from one of the men in the truck. She'd need protection in order to make her feel secure enough to 1) provide even more info (possibly?) or 2) testify at trial if need be.

I do assume convoy peeps have been under surveillance and if they were named publicly or as POI, their behavior could have become more difficult to monitor. Maybe by not naming them, they've been lulled into that false sense of security.

I am sorry, I meant real craft not what is presented in the media. Do you believe the dramatization of crime and violence is authentically represented in the media?
Skirting SS's alarm set up, and controlling that house and everyone for an extended period of time. The intricate details of this kind of craft has to be learned hands on..

What confuses you? DW has spent time in jail, was unemployed, has a history of domestic violence directed not just at women but also to members of his own family and is currently in jail for murder. Yes, I believe he is a hardened criminal who has associated with other hardened criminals for a long time.
