Hawk, thanks for the link. It was mentioned that Burke was represented by an attorney from the same office Spota worked for in a deposition. The firm he worked for has the name O'Rourke in it. Would that be the same O'Rourke that is currently representing Peter Hackett?

The O'Rourke, or was it Spreer that represented Burke at the deposition is the same guys that were with Spota.

If you liked the show then tune in tomorrow at 3PM EST and Guy will be back with his daughter. They have at least one other fellow that suffered the same thing with Burke. I guess that sooner or later Yours Truly might appear once I can get my story condensed into one hour in a logical order.

I think the next shoe to drop will belong to McPartland. Shortly after Spota will put in for retirement.

I finally had a chance to listen to the entire podcast. Truth is much stranger than fiction folks. What an awful ordeal for Mr. Malone. I look forward to seeing these corrupt officials all put away where they belong. I don't know if there is a direct linkage to the Gilgo victims, although given all we have heard so far, it would be of no surprise, but no doubt there was obstruction of justice in that case to keep the Feds out. I hope your story can be told too Hawk and your family receives vindication. Wow.

Thanks for the good thought, MM, but my son in law is long gone although I often contact him to keep up on how he is doing. The unfortunate thing about his ordeal he became an alcoholic when previous to this he hardly drank. Getting divorced didn't help.

I got got vindication a long time ago when SCPD cops were jumping aboard my ship and quietly telling me how much they appreciated my efforts to expose this piece of garbage. I would like to think that my 10 years of posting a few million words something finally came of it and I may have played a part in it.

I should tell you the radio show has another victim like Malone waiting in the wings to tell his story. In many ways it could be worse than Malone's story. Burke used his detectives in Spota's DA squad to go and harass this man in his own home. They were on some sort of 'investigation' that to this day I will not understand how the DA office could be involved with this man.

What Mr.Malone doesn't tell you is he had a private investigator watching a house he believed his wife and Burke were in. A person he believes to have been a man dressed like a woman exits the house and drives away in a car. That person realizes he/she is being followed and speeds off in excess of 100MPH. Malone believed it was Burke.

The former Mrs.Malone refuses to be interviewed by the media. She has retained a lawyer. I hope Jimmy is paying for it. When she was still in NY she worked for a high end hair salon. Mr.Malone mentioned it on the show you heard. It had to close down because it was involved in a sex scandal where the owners were pimping homosexuals.

Mr.Malone has alleged that Burke was pimping out his wife when they were going together. One prominent Information agency has Malone's wife living, or associated with Burke at his Smithtown address for a period covering about 2 years. Maybe Mr.Malone will cover this in his next interview, tomorrow at 3PM.

I just hope the US attorney follows this to its final conclusion: Sweep the nest of criminals out from the SCPD. To the extent they have 'encouraged' these sad sacks to retire that much seems to have been accomplished.

I believe there will be at least four more police officers indicted for their role in covering up for Burke. Let's wait for the indictments to come down and let the media identify them. My information is they have already been arrested and plead guilty. You folks should note that Burke's attorney has said that Burke is not going to cooperate in this investigation. He doesn't need to, not that he wouldn't have if he was forced to do so- they have already admitted to their crimes, and so there is no need for Burke to testify against them.

Burke, notably said: "I and others conspired to obstruct justice." What choice did they have when the Chief of Department orders you to report to his office and help him conspire to hide the truth? BTW, Lt.James Hickey needed no such encouragement from Burke, he was ALL-IN from the beginning as he was ALL IN when he testified against my son in law at his trial. Hickey had been interviewed by the detective that was investigating the frame up of my son in law. That detective took notes only 5 months before the trial and the detective noted: Interviewed Lt.Hickey and he had NO RECOLLECTION of the incident. When asked by the defense counsel if he said that to Det.Lewis, Hickey said he didn't remember saying that. Why should Hickey be concerned when he knew DA Spota would never prosecute him for perjury.

If you folks don't think after reading all of this, now, and before that the DA and the PD is not covering something up on the LISK case then I have that bridge to sell you.

I am so sorry about your SIL Hawk. This case has me riveted and I find myself searching the web frequently for updates. I am not a local, I live a couple of states south of NY, have no association to any of the principals. I am just a concerned citizen of this country who would like to see corrupt officials and murderers brought to justice and am somewhat of a true crime junkie. It has become more personal for me now that my young adult daughter is living in Manhattan. Although she is not likely to be in a situation like the Gilgo victims, she is fortunate to have the benefit of a college education and a good paying legal job, but I can't help but relate to the families of the murdered girls as both of my daughters are about the same age as the GB4 and Shannan were when they died. I have to admit I was a bit incredulous early on when I read your posts about police corruption and possible involvement with this case, it just seemed too far fetched for a serial killer to be linked to the police and criminal justice system. Now, I will believe just about anything in this case. Your insight Hawk is most enlightening and fascinating but also maddening to think those we charge with public safety and criminal justice would do such harm to our communities. Pure evil.

Clearly Scpd is and always will be corrupt, like all LE but why are they covering up the serial murders? In my mind the killer is someone like bittrolff, a normal average joe, works a regular blue collar job like rifkin and shulman, he is invisible a nobody. Not some flashy rich connected suffolk guy. so why would they be covering for him?

LL6 - I think you answered your own question: If it is an average guy why would they cover for him. The answer is they wouldn't unless it would kick back on them.

I can only make educated guesses based on my previous experiences in LE, and based on my more than 10 year study of how they operate in Suffolk County. Nothing much changes with them. They specialize in the 'half-lie' because they know the people that serve on their juries are just too stupid to understand what they are doing. Burke learned this technique when he testified in the murder case of John Pius Jr., and nothing has changed since.

My gut tells me the killer does not live on LI. I think he lives in NYC. He goes out, kills women, and then goes homes.

Jim Clemente said this killer called the little sister of one of the victims to torment her. Hes mean. This personality trait will show up in his everyday life. It makes sense.

One of those unnamed cops that has already been arrested and plead guilty is an animal that is believed to have taken persons to cemetery’s to find an open grave for next day burials. They would bring such person there and put a gun in the mouth of the person they would accuse and tell them unless you confess I will blow your brains out and throw you on the bottom of the grave and cover you up with enough dirt that no one would notice you when the coffin is lowered into the ground. This was told to me by a Suffolk County court officer that was assigned to my son in law’s trial. It was common knowledge.
That same person had his case against a person named FREEMAN reversed by then- Judge Stuart Namm. Freeman was tortured by the cop, and there was medical evidence to support that, i.e. his teeth were knocked out by a black jack and his arms suffered permanent nerve damage. Freeman would sue and receive only $85,000.00 in a settlement. It seems like $85,000 is the magic number when they settle cases they want to go away.
• See the case of Lowrita Rickenbacker lawsuit, the gal that was Burke’s hooker of choice back in the 90’s.
That vile person testified and lied at my son in law’s trial. The lies were monumental. And they got away with it! Is it any wonder they would think they could get away with most anything like the LISK case? Is it any wonder why they would think a case of a drug addict stealing a bag out of a chief of police car would go unnoticed?

All you need is someone willing to lie, a DA that would not prosecute, and a judge who will wink at those lies – case closed.

The killer could be an average joe that picks up prostitutes. If members of LE engage in the same behavior then maybe thats the connection. They must have crossed paths somehow.

Hawk, these guys are maniacs. I would not doubt if the killer knew one or more cops on Long Island. The crazies find and gravitate to each other. Who the hell else is going to put up with them? This is some sick stuff. Maybe a cop-pimp set the killer up with these victims.

We have learned that at least one prominent ADA in Spota's office has been known to have picked up a male he may have believed was a male prostitute. Some sort of disagreement occurred and the unknown stranger was arrested for whatever. The lawyer that defended that fellow would store the case file in a storage facility and it was burglarized. Guess which file was missing?

The story gets far better than a Steven King could write, but we will leave that for another day.

deedee, this is in support of your thoughts in your last post.

I guess taking guys out to a cemetery explains in part why SCPD has a 94% conviction rate. Thats unheard of anywhere else. How many innocent people are sitting in prison because of them?

At the court on Friday the lawyer for Loeb took a front and center seat. As Burke was admitting to his crimes and the 11 others that conspired with him the lawyer's eyes seemed to be rolling like a slot machine with $ signs on it. Now that is NOT to say this very fine lawyer is what we call an ambulance chaser - not at all. But one couldn't escape the irony of it all. What you have here was a drug addict thief who just happened to pick the wrong car to steal something out of. One could say he picked the "right" car because what that car would produce is worth a thousand cars. It is not a question IF Loeb will receive a pay out, it is only a question of HOW MUCH. It also opens a big door for that same attorney to pursue a even larger settlement for his client Marty Tankleff. It was Burkes' team that fought tooth and nail to keep Tankleff in jail.

Loeb will leave town if hes smart. Even smarter if he stays off drugs. Burke will be gunning for him when he gets out of jail.

I came across a picture of Burke in a dress online. He must have been going incognito. It was posted by someone who believes it was him. Its a good thing he wasnt born a woman. Ill try and find it.

Oh, my dear deedee, please DO. I will come and cut your lawn for the next 10 years......

BTW., as is his custom he latches on to the wives of people he knows. He had a very big time real estate developer that he was hanging out with and that fellow died. The wife was waiting for Jimmy Boy, and he moved right in. Got some pictures of him hobnobbing with the Polo crowd in Palm Beach. A very attractive woman. I heard that when her friends saw the Rickenbacker story they told her and she dropped him like the hot piece of crap that he really is..
