They really need to start looking at people who knew this little girl because it is becoming more obivous to me that whoever it is that took her knew their way around that house. Maybe the reason the girlfriend's statements have been conflicting is because she is covering for her brother?

well, after reading the police report just now I've gone to the dad is framing the gf. There was some interview a day or so ago when he was crying very hard in between periods of talking very lucid about what happened. If I heard it correctly he stated he had an idea who did it and that that the person will end up 'wasted" anyway. then the comment about the "dumb girlfriend" to the officer writing the report. seeing some pretty deep basic issues here. plus I tend to think the gf really does not know what happened. I think she was *asleep* as she says, more like in a pharma induced temp pass out.

I don't think he's framing gf. I heard first interviews w dad and I didn't hear him say that he suspected any particular perp or had an inkling, only to effect that whoever they were, they are "sorry piece of trash and will be wasted." JMO

I just find it way too coincidental.

molested a victim under 12 years old, don't know what gender, and he is considered a predator. Registered 12/18/08 so he was just released from prison 6 weeks ago. putnam county.
ETA; I don't know the area, but google maps show putnam county on the other side of the river from Haleigh's address.
He disappeared for a reason, omgosh...
He is the same age as Haleigh's dad.

Yes, that is a clue that profilers use. They check all the perps and see if they left town the next day, didn't show up for work, etc.

I don't know if you get SSI for Turners. Just having a disablity does not get you SSI.

I think it depends on your income. Some parents even file for SSI when their child has ADHD. I know because I have had to fill out the pages of paperwork sent to me by Social Security. IIRC they have been medicaid kids. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I don't know about the girlfriend - like I read on here, if she was sinister enough to do something to the girl, why not just say 'well, I may have left the door unlocked when I took the trash out...' or something to that effect instead of saying she didn't know how they got in without signs of forced entry. She doesn't seem to bright. But that GVS question about how they think the prep got in without forcing open the door - was an excellent question.
