What I don't understand is how the doctor couldn't have used the information from the email from PS in taking into account that she might not have been able to take care of herself. Does HIPAA work both ways?

Many Bi-polar patients can't control their finances. They will blow lots of money.

When I have a used to have manic episodes, my impulsive spending was crazy unbelievably out of control. Out of control.

Cannot discuss patient without release period or Dr could be liable and lose license.
