I'm afraid our worse fears are true. At least it appears that LE has some evidence. There was the comment in the article that prosecutors allege that Quiles is the father of Sawyer's baby based up on DNA. I wonder where that DNA came from? Hopefully he will or has indeed confessed.

Missing pregnant teen's family holds onto hope she's still alive

[...]

News4Jax has learned that authorities have a conversation clandestinely recorded of Quiles and an unknown person that his defense lawyer has received as evidence in his sexual assault case. We don’t know who the recorded conversation was with or when it took place, but court records referred to it as a controlled call, meaning a warrant was issued to record the call.

A member of Sawyer's family who wants to remain anonymous said her family is doing as well as they possibly can under the circumstances.

"I don’t have any direct signs or information to say she isn’t or is (alive)," the family member said Wednesday. "The only thing I’m concerned with is the fact that she’s six months pregnant, and knowing a mother-to-be, what’s necessary for her to carry this child."

NEW VIDEO: Investigators question suspect in pregnant teen's disappearance

He says he talked to the girls almost everyday, but the way they communicated was mostly through social media because the messages disappear.

"That’s what we normally communicate through, and the reason why is, because you know, it kind of sound like incriminating now but it's because the messages delete," he told investigators.

Quiles is facing a sexual battery charge unrelated to Iyana's disapperance.

He has not been charged in connection with her missing person case.

Oddly, it DOES sound incriminating!!! Clearly the messages were inappropriate.

I live in florida the gulf side of course, The Atlantic side gets cooler in the winter and earlier. Over here on the gulf side its nothing to see 80+ degrees on Christmas day.

ETA: after looking through the temps from December till today its been rather unseasonably warm.
Whomever this is I just hope their family find answers and closure.
