Somer may have struck another child with a backpack then ran ahead.

Mother looked for her for about 2.5 hours and at a little after 5:00 flagged down a passing patrol car and reported her daughter missing.

LE Asking for people to look around their area for a backpack or any of the clothing Somer was wearing.

Command post at an apartment complex is one area where reporter talked to one of the lead commanders

LE was going door to door in the apartment complex

Respectfully, hmm I don't see what you are seeing. Doesn't mean it isn't true though. I went through and watched the video. My take was mom look scared and serious and hopeful they would find her daughter hiding somewhere..

As far as the meeting of officers. It looked like they were being briefed and their serious faces read "this is serious" - I don't know - just my take on it -

Here is the video you asked for. Look at about 1:12 - shortly right after is where mom makes her hesitation. Like I said, I saw this before and thought it was weird at first. But then I thought maybe she was gonna say something like it could be my neighbor, but didn't want to be disrespectful to those that have been so supportive. IDK, I am open to ideas.

Hi everyone. First off, I have to say, Y'all are good. I shouldn't have taken that nap though, because I am behind in my reading. I am hoping that the hesitancy in this video and the cryptic message from BSU is because if they have a suspect, they can't let him know because they are keeping him in the loop, and watching this unfold. My money was on SP until I heard what John Walsh said about him and the sheriff. I'll just wait and watch, thanks for listening.

how can they say that she looked for her for 2.5 hrs. She didn't even get the text she was missing til around 4, then went home,I would say about 30 min maybe from Park St,jax....I think that is where she worked...and if she came down 17, which is prob the way she would come home, she would have been met with base traffic that lets out at 3:30, and trust me, that is NO FUN...maybe she worked on Park St in Orange Park?

I was thinking that too but Maybe sheriff meant in general they looked for that time frame - kids included, without getting to wordy???

It is my understanding the other thread was closed due to some posters attacking other posters, which is against Websleuths rules of etiquette and/or terms of service.

I believe every member of this forum has the right to express their opinions, and ask questions, as we try to sleuth the truth.

Although I personally feel that Somer's mom is an innocent victim, and heartbroken at that, I respect someone else's opinion and right to ask questions.

If you think about it, the Caylee Anthony threads would be very short indeed, if we were not allowed to question the actions of Caylee's mother.

Look, at the comments to this article. No, REALLY, please read the one about him being seen rummaging in dumpsters around the area in August. I would say if he can get into and out of dumpsters, he could subdue a 7 year old. MOO. Also tells how he approaches people.

Think I might just have to take a drive down to Salerno and Stuart and have a look around. But the 5 hr drive for him to Jax, I dunno. That's a long drive one way.

I am with you on this one!!!! This goes against my 2nd theory. But if she was snatched by this guy in a car, not a far drive to his residence and garbage is still of same area, wouldn't you think?? Therefore, she was close but not too close?

Oh yeah and the fact that the astro thread is all over him too!!!

I am going to the church service in Jax tomorrow but will try and go to Stuart the next day and find out what's up for you, if the house is now empty etc. In the alternative, you may be able to call Martin County Sheriffs Dept and ask them if they know if he has relocated or not, but I would think they will just look on the computer and come up with the same address as we have.

I know technically since he is registered far away it makes it more unlikey. But what if the locals ran him off after that article was written and he is transient. Meaning, he might still "live" at that address but had an "urge" and went traveling? I mean the old goat can't have to much longer to live, do you think he figured what did he have to loose since he is so close to end of life anyway?? IDK, totally speculating .. what do you think? To big of a long shot??

Four hours from Stuart to Orange Park, per google.
I don't know, I'm like a dog with a bone when it comes to this guy. He even goes against my own profile, but I don't care. You couldn't make this stuff up, it's too perfect.
He only talked about the Parsons girl, he was never definitively linked to her presumed murder.
So, maybe he confessed based on what he had seen or heard from another person about it. It has happened in the past.
