This is horrid to ask, but I wonder how she harmed her. Taylor could take care of herself. Very sad.

Not to mention, but $34,000 isn’t that much money. Sorry, but this beeatch, must have been seriously desperate. I don’t mean to sound snooty, but seriously, $34,000?

I keep seeing the figure of $34,000 talked about as to the amount of money that Ashley had and spent.

IIRC, Taylor had $100,000. to deposit in the safety deposit box. We heard stories of part of this was in cash, part in Cashiers Checks, and don't know where the other part went.

Can one of you enlighten us on this money situation?

Ugh, and there it is, all laid out for us. "Covered in concrete." This is so hard. :( AM was Taylor's friend - good enough to entrust her with a lot of money, that AM spent.

Just an FYI - right now she's charged with second degree murder. Florida requires a Grand Jury indictment for first-degree murder. IMO that is going to happen.

$100,000 was how much Taylor had in her bank accounts and/or withdrew during the process of the divorce. We don't actually know how much of that she gave to Ashley for safekeeping in the SDB. TW could have kept some at home or spent some before asking AM to keep any of it. A friend told TW's GF that Taylor was last seen with $30,000 in cash and $30,000 in cashiers checks. We can deduce that the "friend" this info came from was Ashley because she was the one who picked Taylor up to take her to the bank. IMO, Ashley was lying about the amount kept in the SDB and lying that TW took any money out at all. Money put in a SDB is not tracked by the bank like a savings account so Ashley could make up any number she wanted for how much money TW supposedly left with.

The $34,000 figure comes from an actual bank deposit Ashley made of a cashier's check in Taylor's name. Ashley deposited Taylor's check into her own account and bank records show she spent it all. We don't know if she had more of Taylor's money or not--she could have had cash belonging to Taylor as well that she spent. We also know Taylor left $19,000 in cashiers checks at her home-- that $19,000 could be part of the original $100,000. I hope this clears some things up.

I think so. Interestingly, Taylor's money was deposited into AM's account on the same day AM was arrested for larceny-- 16 August, 2017. I wonder if AM somehow convinced Taylor to let her keep the money on that same day? Or perhaps AM had been keeping the money for Taylor in her SDB, but either after the arrest or shortly before it she decided to take Taylor's check and deposit it so she could pay back what she had taken from the employee. What I can't figure out is how AM deposited a cashier's check that was in Taylor's name. Wouldn't Taylor have to sign her check over to Ashley in front of a witness or with a notary or something? Could AM have forged the signature needed or had someone else pretend to be Taylor to sign in front of a witness?
Everything I’m finding in research states Taylor would just have to endorse it on the back. Seems like low security for a check of such a large amount. If that’s true, I guess forging a signature on a 3rd party check, even a cashiers check, wouldn’t be that difficult.
Are we still talking about $60,000 cash plus this $34,000 cashiers check? I know there were cashiers checks at Fleurde’s, too.

And after typing out all the above it occurs to me that we STILL don't know if LE checked the bank security cameras, what they found, or if AM made any attempt to pretend to go to the bank and access her SDB that day in a ruse of getting money out for Taylor. For all we know, the SDB might not exist! We did get some narrowing down of the timeline, however.

I think the $60,000 was made up/a lie by the suspect. JMO.

I'm hoping to post the new timeline soon. I have trimmed the facts/ VI statements section considerably to cut out anything that really is not relevant anymore-- all that info is still available on previous drafts of the timeline and in the threads. I have added dates and times of some key events in Ashley's life (arrest, employment, etc) and Taylor's last day from the arrest warrant doc. Keep in mind that what we know is constantly changing and will probably change yet again. We still don't know when or how Taylor was killed.

Timeline Notes: The following are possibly relevant facts, quotes and/or VI statements

According to Ashley McArthur’s arrest report, one of Taylor's friends told LE that TW had given AM $34,000 to hold during Wright's pending divorce. TW had tried to get the money back multiple times without success. ECSO’s investigation showed the $34,000 deposited by AM had been spent. (PNJ News)

Taylor was trying to get the money back from Ashley for court proceedings due to her pending divorce case (North Escambia News)
Ashley McArthur’s phone records never showed her in the area of the family property in East Milton, instead her phone showed her in the area of Beulah on September 8 from 11:52 a.m. until 1:44 p.m. and again from 2:40 p.m. until 3:33 p.m. Police discovered that McArthur’s family has property at 2201 Britt Road, in the same area as her phone indicated (North Escambia News)

During the execution of the search warrant on Britt Road, contact was made with AM’s cousin. The cousin stated under oath that McArthur contacted him on September 8 to see if the was going to be home on that day. The cousin said her told her that he would be gone to a funeral and was not on the property (North Escambia News).

During the investigation, McArthur’s bank records and cell phone records were obtained. Bank records show that on August 16, AM deposited a cashier’s check in TW’s name for the amount of $34,000 into AM’s personal checking account. The money has since been spent (North Escambia News)

Taylor has a rose tattoo on her lower right ankle that is old/faded/black she has a sun tattoo on her lower back, she has a mole under her left eye, she has tattooed make up eyeliner, she has a scar on her right thigh laterally above the knee, she wears a necklace with a bullet from a rifle, she wears a black and blue paracord bracelet on her right wrist and a skinny black bracelet with a pea sized medallion that has the scales of justice on her left wrist. She has her ears pierced, but in 6 months GF has never seen her wear earrings. She is comfortable sporting a dress or boy board shorts and a t shirt. (Fleurde post #694, Thread1)

Taylor had a “friendly and constructive” relationship with her son. It is very unusual for her to go long without contacting him. (AbuDrake #114 & #190, Thread1); By the time she went missing in Sept, Taylor was usually texting her son everyday (her mother to WEARTV news; & Fleurde post #852, Thread1).

Taylor is a subcontractor for at least 2 large PI firms whose clients are mostly insurance companies (VI AbuDrake post#113, #377, Thread1)

Taylor has her own company. TW had future plans to grow her company and build a house with GF (Fleurde post #694, & #784 Thread1)

The moving truck Taylor left in her driveway was borrowed from Ashley McArthur who is CEO of a billiards business called Pensacola Automatic Amusement (AbuDrake post #112, Thread1; https://www.corporationwiki.com/p/2xvro7/ashley-mcarthur)

Taylor had only recently moved to Pensacola, from Destin. She had been in Navarre the previous year (AbuDrake post #325, thread1)

We still don't know when or how Taylor was killed.

McArthur’s phone records never showed her in the area of the family property in East Milton, instead her phone showed her in the area of Beulah on September 8 from 11:52 a.m. until 1:44 p.m. and again from 2:40 p.m. until 3:33 p.m.

Hey G... awesome timeline!!! I mean amazing. I'm wondering if we can get a map and just leave off girlfriends house. It's not important anymore.

Also, when reading that timwline, a couple of really big things hit me

1. This *=€",!* kept the phone!!!! Clearly, she had already killed Taylor. So, she didn't put the phone with her. She kept that phone to just dig in deeper to her loved ones! She actually got girlfriend, ex, child and mom! She is siiiiiiick

2. That brings me to this..... remember that food site you found? With the reviews? Well, she was posting that she was in the new orleans area a month ago (I couldn't see exact dates). Who is wanting to bet that she drove to Nola area with Taylors phone on to show her traveling, like she ran away. So, where's the phone? And why did dummy post food reviews placing her in the same place? I'm thinking she thought she would be untouchable. Like police friends would never arrest her. Wrong answer!!!! Pretty bold.

I agree. That is why I said I didn’t want to sound snooty. There are ways to get $34000 without breaking the law. She could have gotten rid of the MLM businesses. Having one myself, it is expensive and not a ton of return. The neighbor said they removed cars from the property. Sell them. I have done crazy things like selling on eBay, debt consolidation, bankruptcy, debt management etc. By no means am I saying it’s a small amount. But, there are ways to get that money, but she’s nuts, so she wasn’t thinking clearly. She could have just told her she spent it for goodness sake.

I didn’t mean to offend anyone. My apologies. I have worked two jobs for as long as I can remember to pay for $175,000 in student loans. There has been rough times of ramen noodles, making sacrifices, but it never crossed my mind to break the law. So, she’s bat [emoji90] crazy. Premeditated and desperate.

Again, my apologies if I offended anyone about the amount of money stolen.

Sweet, trusting Taylor will never see Drake during important milestones in his life. Will never hold a precious grandchild in her arms. I am not one to think, she is better off where she is. However, "Who can see Paradise and not want to stay?" ~ Paul Brady

SS of the texts were a red flag. Ditto for the Uber and horseback riding in shorts. By all accounts, we learned Taylor adored and deeply loved her son. We may ever know why Taylor allowed ABM to hold money when it could have been sent to AduDrake for supporting Drake. His father mentioned their son may need to sit out a while from the Karate classes he enjoys taking due to financial barriers. When a child is denied something important, be it his mother, food, or Karate lessons, I become emotionally involved, as most of us do.

I desperately wanted his mother to be found alive. Jethro mentioned several times that his primary goal was to find TW alive. Someone commented earlier that Jethro is brilliant. I've worked with him on at least four major cases. He possesses a brilliant mind that I describe as being compared to a computer. It's been an honor and a privilege to watch him work a case. He possesses the ability to pull the rabbit out of the rabbit hole. My thanks go to Jethro for his dedication for time spent working to solve cases on WS.

There are several others on this case that deserve recognition. FlossyMay hung with this case day after day. Gardener1850, I hope you realize how helpful you have been in TWs investigation. I totally understand your need to back away for a while.

Our dedication is commendable but our hearts can only withstand so much heartache. Our sweet Jazz Tune and Whiskers16 always offer hope when it seems we are aboard a sinking ship without a life raft. This is not to say anyone is insignificant as that would be an untruthful statement. Jazz mentioned everyone's thoughts and opinions count and she is right about that.

Everyone here, for 6 weeks, has been working toward one common goal of finding TW alive. We are volunteers but that is the job we've accepted. We find sleuthing worthwhile, even though, we are often disappointed in final outcomes.

It is difficult to find understanding in perpetrators who hold a corrupted heart capable of heinous deeds. I have a feeling ABM's family knows her quite well. I do not anticipate them attempting to post bond for her. ABM buried our Taylor on her family's property by surreptitiously hiding her crime under a bed of concrete. It is unfathomable.

Our collective sorrow and condolences are with TWs loved ones. ABM's family neither asked for nor wanted something like this to happen. They, too, are deserving of our compassion. Can you imagine waking one beautiful sunny day in Florida, or anywhere, to learn your child was arrested for murdering someone then, cemented them on your property?

Well said! You, too, have a way of reframing, adding important points, and giving insight. Thank you! [emoji364]

DeDee, thank you for your post. I agree with you about our kind and dedicated Gardener and the sleuthtastic Jethro. If I ever end up with a WS thread, I would certainly want those two in my corner.

drjmcope, I agree with you as well, $34,000 is a nice chunk of change, but it certainly isn't worth taking a life. I hope Ashley will come to realize what she has done, how many lives she has ruined and I hope she is never allowed to hurt anyone else.

Thank goodness too that the particular detective doggedly kept working on this case when the department thought it likely she just voluntarily took off.

I don't think this is true. Pensacola Police Dept. is a pretty good organization and they do an excellent job. I believe they just made that statement publicly but were suspicious after the initial investigation showed something was wrong, and then they kept on digging behind the scenes.

FYI fun fact....Ted Bundy was finally caught in Pensacola by an alert traffic cop named David Lee, who busted him for driving a stolen car.

I don't think PPD ever thought TW took off on her own. I believe they just wanted AM to think they believed her BS story while they investigated her. Lol They did some great work on this case.

We should know by now that just because LE will make a public statement, it doesn't make it true, as in the Laura Waller case and in this one, they just wanted one person to believe their lie, the perp. And apparently in both these cases, they did and it worked. :happydance::happydance::happydance:

I have a feeling that the entire department knew what kind of person Ashley was from her police work and her Crimea and the moment they heard she was the last person to see Taylor, they knew what had happened. But they had to play it very, very cool. They totally bluffed I think, and for good reason, when they said we suspect no foul play. The police have a right to left in interrogations and in statements to the public if they think it will help them catch the guilty party.
