Thank you for the information, Chico.
It just breaks my heart that Trenton's forum has been archived! I realize that there have been no major developments in his case for quite some time, but archiving the forum is just another reminder that his disappearance has grown 'cold'.
I pray that some day poor Trenton will be located so that his family will have the peace of knowing what happened to him. No family should have to go through life wondering the fate of its loved ones.
In "The Night Stalker," Carpenter is hired by convicted serial killer Abb Grimes, on death row in the maximum security prison in Starke, FL, to find his kidnapped three-year-old grandson Sampson. Carpenter is the former head of the Broward County Missing Persons Unit and was involved in the Grimes case. Abb was convicted of killing 18 young women and the cops are convinced that Abb's son Jed Grimes is responsible for Sampson's kidnapping.
Carpenter isn't among the believers, especially when he learns that the lead detective and his replacement at the missing person's bureau is Ron Cheeks, a notoriously sloppy detective. Cheeks is certain that Jed Grimes is behind Sampson's disappearance and gets very belligerent when Carpenter is hired to find the toddler.
When another young woman is murdered, Jed goes to the top of the suspect list, with everyone -- except Jack Carpenter -- convinced that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree and the troubled young man is following in his father's bloody footprints.
"The Nightstalker" is based in part on the abduction of a little boy named Trenton Duckett, who was taken from his bedroom two years ago. Trenton's grandfather is on death row, a convicted murderer. Police believed that Trenton's abduction was related to his grandfather's crimes.
A motorcycle enthusiast recently went to Deland police department with a picture he thinks looks just like missing toddler Trenton Duckett.
WOW, that looks alot like him. I wish I knew how to do a side by side comparison.
