I'm listening to a podcast episode on the case, a podcast called Unresolved, and the entire 911 call is played. I don't think this has been covered in here before... does anyone else find it odd that EC can't/doesn't tell the 911 operator exactly where they are? She says "at the entrance to Piedmont Park" and that's all -- no cross streets, no "near ____" or "across the street from____" Hadn't she and Katie been living in that neighborhood for years, or am I wrong? And aren't there multiple entrances?
And then she hangs up -- although to be fair, I also find it odd that the operator doesn't say anything to her about staying on the line, either -- and I'm wondering what happened then. The podcast says that the police arrived at 1:10 a.m., but I don't know if we've ever nailed down the time that the call was made, so I don't know how long it took them to arrive.
I know the police don't owe us anything, but it's so frustrating that there is so much we don't know -- and so scary that there is someone out there who did this and is still walking around free.![Frown :( :(](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
