CNN reporting JRH has called into to service on speaker phone, sobbing but thanking all for support. Wife stood up and gave speech and defended him. Congregation stood in show of support. She also talked about having more children when this is over. WOW.

:puke:

How can one be so fearful of leaving a child in the car and then actually forget him?

As for the obit I find it kind of odd they would bring up somewhat damning evidence about how Cooper normally acted while in the car. In a very short period of time they left one parking lot and entered another. If he talked to cars it would seem that Cooper would have been a busy talker telling cars hi or bye. If it was normal for him when in cars with other people but not his dad, why did he not feel comfortable doing it in front of dad.

What really jumped out at me when I first read it was the phrasing "He was loved and cherished and protected by both parents ". It seems redundant to write "both" instead of just "He was loved and cherished and protected by his parents", unless one was trying to be defensive. Along the same thought, the inclusion of the word "protected" also seemed to me as a direct reference to his father.

It just seems a bit unusual to me to use the very difficult task of writing the baby's obituary as an opportunity to direct attention to the father. Of course, this entire tragedy is unusual, to say the least.

Was it a joined hubby and wife fb? Was there a name in his facebook url? Can you link the linkedin account? TIA.

Nope separate FB accounts.

Who talks about having other children "when this is over" at their own child's funeral? That just seems WAY over the top inappropriate to me - reminds me of the statement when someone loses one of their children and some insensitive person says, "Well at least you've got other children...." As if children can be interchangeable.

Sorry - just really struck me as tacky.

I can't imagine the context for that last sentence. Heartbreaking.

It may not be a direct quote.

He's "sorry, sorry he couldn't be there"

Yeah, I bet. Prison isn't going to be fun either. Should have thought about that before he roasted his own son.

All imo

Thank you so much. He refers to himself as Ross Harris. This will help. Thank you again.

I don't think I would be able to speak at my baby's funeral.

You're welcome. Sadly enough on his Google+ account, if you go to his videos under the "YouTube" section you can find a video of Cooper's ultrasound. RIP sweet angel :heartbeat:

They have said they do not allow for transport of prisoners on grounds of compassion. (Funerals, etc.) It's just their policy. If he had requested, I don't think we would know, because he can't appeal for it. They just don't do it.

I think it's the costs and transporting prisoner, Taxpayer would have a fit if they had to pay for it. Tammy Moorer(Heathe Elvis case) got to go to see her dad.
