I hope they keep on working tonight and bring Teresa home. It has been a tortuous ordeal for her family. Her sister tonight on Greta was so washed out that I thought she needed medical attention. The going on the shows especially when it is almost assured that your loved one has perished takes a huge toll on the survivors. It is like they are in the make sure justice is done roll more than anything.

I missed parts on how Hilda said she knew Chaffin. I got the part that she knew him thru Theresa but then she said something about knowing him from her shop. The betrayal they all must feel.

I live in Georgia and I know it is Lah-Fay-ette. But from La. orignially and it is Laf-fay-Yet. So, not all yankees and some southerners pronounce it that way. We all know where they both are..or most of us.

I will say this...this Georgia critter is not one I would tuck under my arm. Also, this Ben had big time scratches around his neck. Obviously, these two have a lot to answer for.

CP The neck of Ben looks to me more of a Chaff not a scratch.Looks like where a jacket was rubbing .

Nah I think Ben Helped get rid of the body. But I think *Gawd I hate this* SP murdered her.And needed help

I was thinking more like the chaffing happened around the time of arrest. It looked a tad pink to be over a week old.

Yea JDB, I had the same thought when I saw it, like a bad rash - irritated by rubbing. Plus he's fair haired, bet he was a freckled little boy and now he has a really fat neck

Two weeks have passed, and any scratch would be pretty much back to normal by now, wouldn't you think Cowbow?

Ohh a little roughhouse during his arrest? Now I see said the blindman.I can see how some might be a little upset with him being arrested.

Just sayin not accusing the LE; so far they've done a good job considering its one of their own missing, one of their own now a person of interest and one of their own arrested. What a mess.

OH, you're thinking they were pretty rough on him last night about this time when he was arrested? Yes it does look like a rope type burn as opposed to a fingernail scratch.

Ewwww, maybe he was roughed up when arrested. Good take Chico! And that is why the chief had him placed in jail in another county, for his own protection. I thought I read in a link here he was arrested in the other county.

That also would tell me what he did or lied about was pretty awful and reflected on the whole department. I think he helped hide the body. They wouldn't charge him with that till everything was out in the open and the killer behind bars, would they?

But isn't it odd that these 2 guys were on duty together that night, but for a period of time were busy dealing with her body. It makes me wonder if the two men, Ben and Sam were both with her when she died.

There could be a lot more to this than we realize now. Don't you wonder how they zoned in on Ben after 2 weeks? I bet a witness called in and reported seeing them out by the pond together, or something that looked odd.

Oops! There I go again with that wild imagination :D

LOL Scandi and her imagination! I still remember you had Birgit Fladager walking into court in stilettos :) I'm still not clear if it was their day off or not. Conflicting reports out there still.

You know Chico, if it weren't for the sad fact that something bad has most likely happened to Teresa, you'd probably have a hard time writing a better story for a TV who done it! Really!

There's a story to be told here alrighty. Whatever it takes to make these situations "real" that it is happening right now in everytown usa.

Boy, if that isn't the truth. I think there are a lot of semi-crazy people out there. everywhere, that have enough common sense to exist in life but make lots of big messes along the way. I guess some guy driving in Oregon put all three of his kids in the trunk because there was no room for them in the car!~ Looney-tune:rolleyes:

I think Ben folded when confronted. They knew he and Sam were friends and played that action. He must have thought it better to confess to hiding the body than to have murdered. Good thinking on his part but I imagine that a few officers were upset with this knowledge. Especially in light of the fact that Teresa was one of their own too.

~snip~
Walker County Sheriff Steve Wilson adds, "We're doing many things behind the scenes. Just because we aren't walking through the woods doesn't mean we aren't working hard. As well there are people working in the crime lab on this case. We have many people working 16 to 18 hour days."
Special agent Scott was also asked if they knew who was the last person to see Theresa. He responded "I believe so." But to say if that person was Sam Parker her estranged husband Scottwouldn't comment. Scott did reminded people to stay patient.."This isn't something than can be solved in an hour with commercial breaks..." As the investigation is still ongoing... And people in Walker County hold out hope for the best.

Sorry DeputyDawg, but I just gotta say "HUH"? If you work in LE, then of course you are more knowlegable than I am about the inner workings. I only spoke from experience and that isn't the experience of being arrested or in trouble with the legal system at all as I am a 47 year old who has never been in trouble or arrested in my life. It was merely in my dealings with particular officers. Won't say more because that is water under the old bridge now......

Please do not misunderstand my comments on the new Police Chief. I was NOT pointing fingers at all. Merely making the observation to those here that he is NOT familiar with his employees at this time because due to the death of the long standing chief from cancer, he's only been on the job for 3 weeks.

Thanks for your insight to the legalities of how agencies handle incident's with their officers. I, too am curious to see why SP was allowed to remain on the job after the domestic calls to his home and especially after the incident on Florida. How that one got justified is beyond me. Can you imagine being the one responsible for him being allowed to return to work and how that person or panel of people must feel now if indeed, SP is found to be responsible for harming Theresa.

I am NOT bashing LE at all and I hope you did not mis-understand my post. They put their lives on the line daily and I agree with you that most are 100% true blue and loyal to their profession.

Just wanted to make that clear to you and others.:)

NGC,

Oh my, I'm sorry. I wasn't upset about your post at all! So, I'll clear that up. Sorry if you took my comments as such. It was more a general comment, and what I hoped would be some background and insight as to how many agencies work when one of their own are suspected of wrongdoings. Many people have no knowledge of what may transpire behind the scenes.

I ended up deleting it as it was so friggin' long (LOL) and I thought maybe no one really cared at this point. But, if anyone did learn anything, then I'm glad it was there for a bit. (And clear up the rankings of Corporal, Sergeant, etc.) LE can be pretty mysterious at times, and some knowledge can be a good thing ;) I guess I'm proud of my background and those of some amazing people I am proud to have worked with, and I wanted to defend my profession, as Lord knows, it can get scrutinized for negative actions all too often.

I just thought that graphic about Michelle Young was so telling. I do hope there will be justice soon.
Anyway, I went on Google Earth last night and zeroed in on the street where the marital home is located. Cordell Road. It is a long rural street with few homes, lots of woods, and yes, I found 2 lakes/ponds (I forgot their names). I saw another spot that I thought was a pond but I wasn't sure. But this road at night must be pitch black - plus I saw only 4-5 homes and one wouldn't be able to see their neighbor's house.
Hopefully, today will be the day when Theresa will be found - her family's agony needs to end.:(

Aaaah, the written word! LOL I guess I did mis-understand parts of your post...Thank you for clearing it up for me...And you should be proud of your background. Takes a special person to deal with the things they deal with on a daily basis and I'm sure the "behind the scenes" stuff is just as hard.

I think the thread is in the same place. I have it bookmarked so go right to this one when I log in. I'm looking for new updates now but far as I know Theresa has not been located yet.
