Her height (5'8") is right. Her age (16) is at the low-end of the range. She had been missing about 5 1/2 years prior to the discovery of this Jane Doe. Hilton Head SC is about 280 miles from Atlanta.

Her facial shape is very similar.

Has she ever been considered?

Tami,

Has the UID ever been compared to Judith O'Donnell? NamUs MP # 8051

Here is her NamUs link: https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/8051/0/

Judy's sister Maureen is very active in finding Judy. I know the years might be a little off (she went missing in 1980) but it is worth a shot.

Thanks, chaddylex -- I was having trouble getting to this :)

The thing that caught my eye about the match is that both women are tall. Judy's 5'10" and the UID is estimated 5'6"-5'10". Judy's sister thinks Judy was still alive after the last seen date. She was known to hitch-hike long distances (Florida, Minnesota, etc.) so winding up in Georgia wouldn't be a surprise.

Judy hadn't had much dental care, but in the 9-10 years between when she broke ties with the family and when this UID showed up, she could easily have married, taken care of herself, and had children.

no problem carbuff. I know you mentioned this UID on Judy's thread so I figured I would ask Tami. It's worth looking into.

Popped on here to suggest Judy and glad it was already brought up, wondering if the "Mother's ring" could also represents someone's siblings.

Frankie Hurst is not on the updated rule out list: https://www.findthemissing.org/cases/9595/0/

The height is off by +/- 5" but teeth look similar, recon looks similar, Frankie had four children and circumstances might have put her in GA.

Here is her Doe:

And Charley:

Hitching a ride back to South Carolina from Kansas could easily take you right through Fulton County: https://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=...=columbia,+&mra=dpe&mrsp=1&sz=6&via=1&t=m&z=6

She's quite a lot older than the estimated age range for the UID, though.

Doe & NAMUS now have GAJane listed as 16-30.

Frankie was 28 went she disappeared, so yea its in the upper range but still in the range.

If they've adjusted the age range then Frankie looks like a very good possibility.

I added some makeup and filled out her hair a little bit...

The problem that I have with Frankie Hurst is her teeth:

https://identifyus.org/cases/708

They are very distinctively arranged, and she appears to be missing an upper-right bicuspid (#4, or possibly #5).

The NamUs dental chart for the UID indicates that the UID was missing her 7, 8, 9, and 10 postmortem (i.e., after she died), but her upper-right bicuspids (4 and 5) are both present.

Carl, you're so awesome!
But I have a question about this. In looking at the NAMUS profile, it says something along the lines of "postmortem loss - open socket." Isn't a dental socket a hole in the bone, and is then covered in ... mouth skin(I am not familiar with medical/dental jargon)? And when a tooth is pulled while someone is alive, that skin heals, and covers the hole. Does the bone socket heal in the same way?

**note: I am just curious. If you are right about FH missing tooth 4/5, then she is obviously not our JD. Thanks again for your good thinking!

Yes, a tooth that falls out after death will leave a socket with a sharp edge. A tooth that has been missing for a period of time before death will fill-in.

Here is an example of a UID (i.e., NamUs UP 71) which has teeth that have fallen out shortly before death, and others that have fallen out much longer before death.

(NOTE: This is not the UID who is the subject of this thread)

Dental question: is that an upper or a lower jaw? Are people's jaws normally that pointed in front?
