I'm in no way trying to speak for Levi by replying to your post but I do see the similarities, and the double-standard...
While Ronald & Misty did in fact report HaLeigh missing, LE has concluded that there were no signs of forced entry, contrary to Ronald's claim, and they do not believe that this is a case of a stranger/intruder entering the home and abducting HaLeigh. Unlike in Caylee's case, HaLeigh attended school and had already exceeded the acceptable number of absences, therefore Ronald had no choice but to report HaLeigh missing. He didn't have the luxury of waiting 31 days. He had to take a preemptive stance and report HaLeigh missing before DHS showed up at his doorstep asking questions about her whereabouts.
While we may not have pictures of Ronald & Misty partying it up at Fusion, they acted just as carefree and without regard for HaLeigh as Casey did regarding Caylee. A wedding, trip to New York, mudbogging, tattoos, using/selling drugs, etc. This conduct is no different - and no-less telling - than Casey Anthony's behavior following Caylee's disappearance. NO-LESS!
As far as imaginary alibis, Casey claims "Zanny the nanny" took Caylee; Ronald and Misty claim that an (unnamed) intruder broke in, propped open the back door and took HaLeigh - Names change but the stories the same IMO.
None of the above behavior, whether Casey A's or Ronald & Misty's, is grounds for an arrest, however it speaks volumes about their state-of-mind and their involvement IMO.
Ron and Misty had to report her missing because if she missed another day of school, the law would have come anyways. Also, she was expected to be at her mothers on Friday night, so there were different circumstances in the Caylee case, there was no father, no DCF showing up to show her how to properly hit her child, there was nothing like that.
And Ronald and Misty getting married after Haleigh went missing should not have been a priority for Ronald, but for some reason it was, and it really sets off warning signs for people who think his behavior is abnormal, and truly want to find out what happened to his daughter, because someone other than her mother and her family has to.
Still does not explain how a person kissing someone else after a child goes missing makes them a child killer.
Following Caylee's case as much as I have, it is my strong, strong belief the State of Florida has a lot more evidence to prove Casey's guilt at trial than she spent her time between Caylee's disappearance and her arrest (and even at that point she wasn't arrested for murder) partying and making out with her boyfriend.
In Haleigh's case, LE can believe all they want this was not a stranger abduction, but can they prove it? LE can find no signs of forced entry, but can they prove the door was locked and would require forced entry?
LE has changed this investigation to homicide. As far as I know, they haven't released what evidence, if any, they found that proves Haleigh is deceased. They could very well have determined this based on nothing pointing to her still being alive.
Kathy Stobaugh has been missing since Dec. 2004, IIRC. Pretty much everyone I know thought her husband killed her. Our question was, "What else could have happened to her?" Her husband was finally indicted, went to trial, and was sentenced to 25 years in prison. Her body has still not been found. This conviction was gotten by prosecutors pretty much proving nothing else COULD have happened to her other than being killed by her husband.
IMO, they can't even go that route in Haleigh's case. It could have been Ron, though I don't believe he had the opportunity. It could have been Misty, Tommy, Joe, even TN or AS, and/or a combination of any or all of them, but again, where is any proof?
IMO, not liking someone, not liking their lifestyle, not liking that, also IMO, people who claim to care about a child seem to show little to no caring of that same child by their actions when IMO that child's disappearance should have brought them to their knees, is not enough to arrest them, it's not enough to charge them, it's not enough to convict them and send them to prison.
Casey was not charged because she went to Blockbuster with TonE, made out with him, got a tattoo, pretended to be a shot girl supervisor, participated in a hot body contest, and seemed to have not a care in the world. I'm guessing these things will come out in trial to add nails to her coffin, but if that was all the State had, Casey would not now be cooling her heels in a jail cell for the last almost 3 years.
