I don't think she's dislikes zimmerman however. He co operated completely way back when this all happened. Now his attorneys, well, the judge is maybe po'd at them. IMO

Looks to me as though shes trying to show her authority- as if shes trying to show that shes NOT on his side by any means. Total distancing of the defense. But why??moo

I just really want to retweet this. I agree 100% MOO IMO IMHO and all that jazz.

feel free!

I am so passionate about justice. There is a way to maintain control without her behavior. I do it with my kids.. I have to remain under control whether they are or not.

IANAL, but even I know that a defendant has the right to wait until the very last minute (before the defense has concluded) to decide whether or not he/she chooses to testify.

IMO, this judge was completely out of line in demanding an answer at that moment.

If a verified attorney wishes to inform me otherwise, I welcome any information.

Having watched many trials, I've NEVER seen a judge do what Judge Nelson just did.

She has her marching orders, in my personal opinion. :twocents:

Amen to that. GZ was in the wrong from the get go for following who he called a " suspect ", for ignoring the request to not follow TBM and fabricating that he would stop doing it, in his reply...by not waiting for the police, HE was always calling, to arrive and taking matters into his own incompetant hands.

His gunshot Victim is dead..but that isn't enough for George Zimmerman, he wants to keep on until he destroys TBM's family and all hopes of justice for their son..Then he can have more fun with the hundreds of thousands of Dollars he and Shellie have collected from their admiring public. As well as reap more Rewards for What he did with the Profits from the books written by his father and the one by his friends.
Thus, George Zimmerman is being Rewarded for shooting TBM dead.
What decent parent could be A-OK with that...not this one.... All in my opinion

this is really uncalled for.

I cannot believe this judge....this is unreal.

LOL. So in the dictionary's description "the window by the door" the window could be 70 yards from the door? This is what I mean about state supporters going to great lengths to make the state narrative fit the facts and evidence. JMO. OMO. MOO.

In turn, defensive supporters are taking great lengths to use a states witness that they don't even believe to say that "BY" means he ran to his house, then ran back out, jumped and tried to beat GZ to a pulp and no blood, DNA or scuff marks on him to show it after running away from him all night...ok..

I wonder if Judge Nelson's demeanor is affected by the presence of her "boss"? Angela Corey in the courtroom today?!? I like how the camera turned to her face after the exchange with West and Nelson.
IMO MOO
Is she holding SF's hand again today?
How very impartial of her. IMO

No evidence supports that TM walked up to GZ.

IMO

According to RJ, The information she gave the timing of the calls and the fact that TM was breathing heavy when she called him that final time after him telling her he was home, It does.

That, in and of itself, tells those who aren't familiar with the court process up close and personal exactly how 'out of order' what we just viewed was.
You betcha. Imagine a court of law in the USA where the judge neither let's a defendant confer with his attorney nor allows that attorney to complete an objection for the record. Talk about the old days of kangaroo courts and railroading. That little show of disrespect wasn't on the defense attorney's part ... that was a judge being disrespectful of the law. IMO

Don West, IMO, has shown himself to be a Bully with his confronting the very affiable Judge Nelson when ALL she is doing is advising GZ of HIS Rights AND asking him what EVERY Judge is compelled to ask of a defendant.

Don West , in challenging The Judge over and over...shows his ignorance in Court Protocol. Shameful IMO He should know the basic law in Florida

He looks like A Judge Wannabe ...earlier today O' Mara shook his head at West when he tried to argue with Her Honor. IMO

A number of people on this forum discuss having witnessed fights, shootings, all kinds of violent things. Am I the only one who has never witnessed such violence? I live in a small town now, but I haven't always. I once lived in Washington DC and Philadelphia. Even there I never witnessed this kind of violence. I grant you it was many years ago, but still---never. I have never been abused, attacked, hit my head on the ground or floor or sidewalk. I once broke my arm but that was playing tennis and I fell.I've never broken the law and never even received a speeding ticket. I haven't smoked marijuana or used other illegal drugs. And my friends and family are more or less the same, except one of my nieces had a terrible automobile accident and was badly injured, but she recovered. No one in my family has ever been kidnapped or murdered.

So all of this is leading up to this question: Is it possible that I believe GZ is guilty because I have never seen a thing like this? I do believe GZ is not telling the truth about his encounter with TM and I believe TM unjustly lost his life. But maybe we bring our own life experiences into such circumstances and we are only able to see it from that point of view? Just wondering.

Hi lovelymtns, I think you bring up a really great point! IMO, yes we do apply personal experiences to our perception of events, as will the jury. I think that's just human nature. As they say, live and learn.

IMO

I think the last witness pegged GZ very well. He said GZ was non-confrontational and would not say something mean to someone's face. He came across as very meek and frightened as he answered the judge. His voice is high pitched too. IMO he was absolutely 100% the person screaming for help. IMO MOO

OMG this judge is out of control in my opinion. Her disdain for George Zimmerman and the defense makes me cringe. She doesn't even try to hide it.

No kidding. It's just a murder 2 charge, why is he inconveniencing her by wanting more time to make a crucial decision? Sheesh!

I wonder if Judge Nelson's demeanor is affected by the presence of her "boss"? Angela Corey in the courtroom today?!? I like how the camera turned to her face after the exchange with West and Nelson.
IMO MOO

My son said the same thing you did. moo

In turn, defensive supporters are taking great lengths to use a states witness that they don't even believe to say that "BY" means he ran to his house, then ran back out, jumped and tried to beat GZ to a pulp and no blood, DNA or scuff marks on him to show it after running away from him all night...ok..

Who said we don't believe them. I believe that a lot of what they say supports GZ. It is their job to prove their case against him. Their own witnesses have backed GZ up.

I can look at the totality of the evidence and see the things that fit with the evidence and what does not.

As a " juror" I am following along and using what I find credible and backed up by evidence and applying it to the case.

I think this judge is so obviously biased, she sees this trial slipping away, and she's trying to do something about it herself. That is not her job!
This idiot needs to remember, this is all being filmed, and its going to be so easy to come after her for this.
OK, sorry to call her an idiot, but what else fits?

I haven't heard a thing that has been said after the judge's outburst. You can tell that even M'OM is being quiet in his questioning. JMO :(

EXACTLY. THERE IS NO PROOF THAT GZ Murdered TM in cold blood. With ill will toward him. And that is the end of the case.

IMO, the evidence of ill will is GZ own words calling TM bad names and assuming he was "up to no good" when he was on the phone with LE....

Imo, He certainly didn't think, "oh, as neighborhood watch, I'm going to offer to escort that nice young man home so he gets home safely."

I agree that it was not at any point, cold-blooded murder.

Imo, I believe it was feverish, hair-trigger murder because TM was fighting to get GZ off of him, as Rachel testified.

Fight or flight is real....for myself...as a twelve-year-old girl, and home alone...I had the fight instinct when a burglar broke in.

I was terrified and my adrenaline was pumping, but "fight" kicked in and I banged open my bedroom door, saw the burglar, and SCREAMED at him to "get OUT."

He left (obviously didn't realize a kid was home and must have been your garden variety burglar, not a rapist/child killer).

But I guarantee that if he had tried to touch me, much kicking and hitting would have ensued.

Why my reaction wasn't run, hide under the bed, "flight"...I can't tell you.

But I do know what it feels like to be very afraid and lash out and act tough.

That's why I think TM could have been afraid and hitting GZ.
