I should've been more explicit in my question about the blood. The article is about LE looking to tie him to other murders.

I wasn't calling BS on YOU lol. I just meant it's not going to take months to differentiate ketchup from blood. I think the guy's wording isn't the best.

Wonder when and how he planned to clean everything up, throw stuff away. He's 59 but retirement years are approaching. He has the land in SC where he wanted to retire, but it would've taken time to secretly get rid of incriminating stuff. He has so much! Did he plan to haul the whole mess from the house and storage units with him to the empty lots in SC?

Whatever his plan was, it would take time, money, and effort to put it in place. Wonder what he had in mind to to?

We need to define what might be incriminating stuff?
A few tools and the remnants of whatever he used to pack them.
Other things might be walls with blood spatter he thought he had cleaned, floors, ditto.

I don't believe for a moment he knew he was under suspicion.
victims' clothing could have been bagged, chopped or intact, with them.

We know for a fact that the task force was trailing him for over a year and he was regularly patronizing sex workers the entire time.
Today I read that they were trailing him for a year but I didn't know that he was still seeing SW during that time! That is horrifying to me. Is that not an ethical issue for the cops? Were they not at all concerned that he would assult or murder another worker while under surveillance? Or did they not have enough evidence at that time to make an arrest?

I’m torn with the others. The proximity of all the victims would make you logically think it is all one killer, however, I am trying to look at this from the angle of a SK and as someone who lives on Long Island (weird, I know lol ). Where can I dispose of a body that is not high traffic at night, dark, difficult to navigate, etc? Would more than one depraved mind come to the same conclusion as RH that Ocean Parkway is the best bet? I could see more than one person finding that to be ideal. But then my brain goes back to logic and thinks there is no way.

I forgot to add that I believe JB is also responsible for Peaches and Baby Doe due to the baby’s proximity to VM and also the dismembering of peaches and finding her body in different locations. I’m on the fence about Fire Island Doe. She may also be JB
I’m with you. Im not sure it’s JB but it fits better than RH. I thinks it’s the fact that RH obviously likes to visit he trophy’s all in one spot and the others were left in multiple places. Maybe I am more psychotic than RH and he didn’t mind his trophies not being whole.

To move to SC, if that was his plan, or even to die without anyone knowing his crimes, did he have a plan to someday get rid of stuff? Was he going to go through all the things in his house/storage unit himself or just let someone else pack up and declutter and hope they don't figure out items were used in crimes?

Just seems like a task that would hang over the head of someone looking toward retirement and moving to SC in the upcoming years. Perhaps this isn't of interest, but if he's such a planner, I do wonder about his plan

There's zero evidence SG was hired for a party. RH also doesn't seem like he would fit into any rich boy clubs. He's far from rich and has been described as weird and cheap. Far from your average country club gold member.

How do you think his personality compared to Joe Brewer? There is a similarity IMO. Neither high brow.

Not to throw water on the idea of the storage unit as a base for disposal of victims, because it's a good one, but I may have a personal insight, here, as someone with more than one hoarder in the extended family (one who's just as bad as any tv show you've seen) and packrat tendencies myself... They may just have got a unit when they ran out of room at home. And then when that was full, got a second.

As I said, doesn't mean he didn't use them for nefarious purposes or store trophies from victims, there, too.

Valid point however, The ME showing up during the search leads me to believe there is evidence to the contrary.

In my our lifetime, an arrest is made for LISK!

10 victims

Friday’s reported arrest came after Suffolk County’s new police commissioner created a special Gilgo Beach Homicide Investigation Task Force in February last year

When I saw this headline the very first thing I thought of was web sleuths...Absolutely alarming to see in real time. We shall see what happens next. Thank you for posting. <3

The problem with that idea, is she got in the car with him. She would have recognised him.

I re-read Robert Kolker's book "Lost Girls" after the arrest broke. One thing that stood out to me was how Amber was supporting with her sex work not just her own huge drug habit (described in detail in the book), but the addictions of three other people in that house. I think the siren song of promised money is why she went with him even though she knew exactly who he was.

The French guy that interviewed him said RH had a very strong handshake, like a hand of marble.

Again, I'm not sold on the idea of him being responsible for other murders beyond the Gilgo 4, but I don't think it's out the question either.

I've never believed that the killer of the GB4 had anything to do the other Long Island murders. But I have always suspected that he might have been responsible for the AC4. I still share that view, 13 years later.

Cops seen carrying mysterious bags as evidence from alleged Gilgo Beach killer’s home after tearing up backyard deck, tiles

"A police dog was brought in to nose around the Long Island backyard of accused Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann Saturday, while investigators dismantled a wooden deck and removed cement tiles from the dilapidated green space."
Oh lord. I have such a horrible feeling this will get even worse. Also heard that helicopters have been flying around his house. I’m sure they will be digging up that yard and the raised beds.

photo from your link. OMG!

That's my understanding, as well. I think the promise of much larger than usual payment was the enticement to go with him.
