Ah no.

What I am saying is:

It should be very hard to play the mental illness card if someone premeditates shooting up a school.

MOO

That’s a catch-22?

So, people want a reason to take away guns and rights by somehow “predicting” future behavior — then also take away and remove rights to a fair trial if they commit an act we can’t predict if there’s proven mental incompetence?

What’s his discussion about, again?

Rights? For whom?

Video at link. BLESS THIS GIRL. BLESS ALL THESE PEOPLE, LINED UP AS FAR AS THE EYE CAN SEE, all across America today, demanding gun reform.

“Yolanda Renee King -- granddaughter of Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King -- took the stage at March for Our Lives ... and gave a rousing speech her granddad would be proud of.

“The 9-year-old walked out with Parkland student Jaclyn Corin, and gave her own version of MLK's famous "I Have a Dream" speech ... saying her dream is that when it comes to guns in our country -- "Enough is enough!"

This is just the beginning, imo.

Summoned by high school students swept up in school violence, thousands swarmed into the nation's capital and cities across America on Saturday to march for gun control and ignite political activism among the young. Organizers of the "March for Our Lives" rally in Washington hoped their protest would match in numbers and spirit last year's women's march, one of the largest Washington protests since the Vietnam era and one that far exceeded predictions of 300,000 demonstrators.

Doesn't warm mine.

An AR-15 is just a medium power gun, that's why they are primarily only used to hunt vermin like foxes and racoons. A higher power gun like a 30-06 hunting rifle would be much better for larger game. The "assault rifle" hyperbole is pure propaganda. If you don't believe me, look up the muzzle-energy for the two-the AR-15 is barely half as powerful. The AR-15 is no more or less than a semi-automatic carbine but, if you call them that, it wouldn't scare enough people.

Veterans join March For Our Lives to push for gun reforms

WASHINGTON — Navy veteran Richard Roberson stood beside the Lone Sailor statute at the United States Navy Memorial on Saturday morning – directly in the center of the massive anti-gun-violence rally March for Our Lives.

He watched as thousands of people streamed by, many of them kids – all of them urging Congress for stricter gun-control measures. The 71-year-old broke down as he explained why he felt compelled to make the trip into Washington from his home four hours away in rural Virginia.

“If you’re 20 years old, and you’re on a Navy hospital ship in Vietnam, it stays with you forever when you see what assault rifles do,” Roberson said. “Quite frankly, my generation has made a mess of the country. These kids are the future.”

No, it isn’t a “medium power gun.” Respectfully, NOBODY in their right mind uses an AR-15 style semiautomatic rifle to hunt mice and rats. Unless you’re calling these children and victims of mass shootings vermin.

One, please source. TIA

Two, here’s an EXPERT’S first-hand perspective:

What I Saw Treating the Victims From Parkland Should Change the Debate on Guns

They weren’t the first mass-shooting victims the Florida radiologist saw—but their wounds were radically different.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.theatlantic.com/amp/article/553937/

“I was looking at a CT scan of one of the mass-shooting victims from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, who had been brought to the trauma center during my call shift. The organ looked like an overripe melon smashed by a sledgehammer, and was bleeding extensively. How could a gunshot wound have caused this much damage?”

(Snip)

“The bullet from an AR-15 passes through the body like a cigarette boat traveling at maximum speed through a tiny canal. The tissue next to the bullet is elastic—moving away from the bullet like waves of water displaced by the boat—and then returns and settles back. This process is called cavitation; it leaves the displaced tissue damaged or killed. The high-velocity bullet causes a swath of tissue damage that extends several inches from its path. It does not have to actually hit an artery to damage it and cause catastrophic bleeding. Exit wounds can be the size of an orange.”

(Snip)

“As a doctor, I feel I have a duty to inform the public of what I have learned as I have observed these wounds and cared for these patients. It’s clear to me that AR-15 and other high-velocity weapons, especially when outfitted with a high-capacity magazine, have no place in a civilian’s gun cabinet. I have friends who own AR-15 rifles; they enjoy shooting them at target practice for sport and fervently defend their right to own them. But I cannot accept that their right to enjoy their hobby supersedes my right to send my own children to school, a movie theater, or a concert and to know that they are safe.”

Why no protesters shouting, UPHOLD OUR LAWS, PROTECT OUR SCHOOLS!" ??

Nope. It's always about the gun. Left vs Right, to hell with reality....

Respectfully snipped for focus.

One, THEY ARE. Watch the protests and you’ll figure it out for yourself.

Two: This isn’t a left-right issue.

Yes, for God’s sake, let’s all join reality. Please.

THIS IS REALITY.

Moo, imo, yadda yadda, etc. ad infinitum

THE LARGEST YOUTH RALLIES SINCE THE VIETNAM ERA.

Let’s let that sink in for a minute. ...

Hundreds of thousands gather nationwide to march for gun control
Associated Press March 24, 2018

http://www.staradvertiser.com/2018/...s-gather-nationwide-to-march-for-gun-control/

Hundreds of thousands of teenagers and their supporters rallied in the nation’s capital and cities across America today to press for gun control in one of the biggest youth protests since the Vietnam era.

“If you listen real close, you can hear the people in power shaking,” David Hogg, a survivor who has emerged as one of the student leaders of the movement, told the roaring crowd of demonstrators at the March for Our Lives rally in Washington.

He warned: “We will get rid of these public servants who only care about the gun lobby.”

Doesn't warm mine.

He has a point. And as a school shooting survivor his opinion is valid
