I hope when they opened the trunk of the car today, they all puked from the smell. I still think the jury should be able to inspect the car trunk with all of its fragrent evidence included.

ITA, and I'll bet the farm that Henry Lee knows with every cell of his being that Casey's car reeks due to the unmistakable odor of human decomposition. He knows Caylee was decomposing in that trunk (sorry Caylee ). NOW, just how honest he decides to be regarding the evidence is very much in doubt IMO. As I mentioned in the evidence thread, Henry Lee is entirely AVOIDED as a "scientific expert". The Prosecutors AND Defense lawyers I know and respect will not touch him with a 1,000,000 mile pole. Then again, I am fortunate enough not to know any "Baez-types" in this jurisdiction and in the realm of our more high-profile Felony cases. As for Dr. Lee? His name is MUD, in my humble opinion. Interestingly enough, Lee's reputation began going south long before the Spector trial.
JMO....
It'd be nice if this case caused some responsible legislators to propose a bill that would prohibit this disgusting idiocy - why in the world should any defense attorneys be allowed to purchase opinions?

LEE: No, we did not get any pay for that and for I`ll say, you know, this country, as you know, everybody entitled a defense. And many forensic experts, we do pro bono cases and that`s our obligation to our profession. As an expert, we look at evidence, doesn`t matter inculpatory, exculpatory, we report (ph) as it is. I don`t think should be labeled as a defense expert going to just for defense. Many time, found more evidence, inculpatory evidence, than the police found. There you know, case history, case example, many time we`re allowed to work on the case together. Many of my cases, I let the defense expert observe. It`s nothing wrong.
GRACE: So Dr. Lee
LEE: Nothing unusual.
MOO on above. Whole lot of tap dancing around the idea of being paid or not. A rather bizarre reference to the defense expert observing and sort of implying he is ther to work the case and so is the other expert and there is a comradere implied IMO.
Seems a rather odd tangent to go off on when no one asked about that?

IMHO I believe you can work pro bono and yet ask for travel expenses. Such as, the legal work and time is free, but I would appreciate the flights, rental cars, and hotel room expenses please. Especially if the court would/could grant reimbursement for such expenses.
I do believe that if Dr. Lee is not reimbursed or paid for those fees he will jump ship. Does anyone know what the $7,500 in expenses already incurred is for? Working for free is one thing, but picking up your own travel expenses is another (IMO). So fork it over JB

Hi Mel,
I think your question (RBBM) is exactly the same question that HHJP and JAC have and that's why he hasn't received his money yet. I believe everyone is waiting on Jose to provide the details/receipts for the $7,500.
I laughed out loud when I heard Jose's oft repeated response, "We're workin' on it," when asked about the Kronk issue. I laughed even harder when he was put on the carpet about Dr Lee. . . He reply then was, "We're wokin' on everything, Judge."
Santa needs to bring Jose a stocking full of organizational skills,, intelligence and a healthy dose of ethics. moo
