Hurricane Irma is changing travel plans for people across the country, and that includes many people trying to leave airports in Florida.
However, one Kentuckiana family has been planning a trip to Florida for several months, and they're not canceling the trip. It was a tough decision, but the family hit the road on Thursday afternoon.

About Irma, we're ok. We almost got hit by the eye, but the last hour it went up in latitude.

Based on the latest forecasts for Hurricane Irma and keeping safety top of mind, Walt Disney World Resort will be closed Sunday, September 10 and Monday, September 11. Resort hotels will remain open, though services and amenities will be adjusted. We hope to resume normal operations on Tuesday, September 12.
