This looks rapids or small falls ... I don't think that anyone would leave the children near the falls as they would end up downstream, and this person did not want them to be found.

Otto, can you say when that picture was taken?

I know there is a good group of very dedicated posters here, I'm sure you have looked at this guy, but just in case:

Found Alive WY - 11 year Old, Cody, 8 October 2012 - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community

He likes to travel around and enjoys nature. Well he used to, until he was caught and thrown in jail where he belongs.

If that photographer had photos related to Lyric and Elizabeth, wouldn't he have been identified sooner, if only to ask the public if he had any business in the Evansdale/Waterloo area? Also, that photographer seemed more interested in photographing foothills and mountains, water pockets and barren landscape? This environment seems so different.

I am so so sorry to see this news this morning.Although i haven't posted much on this thread, i've religously checked it everyday, and have read all of the comments, that all of you wonderful caring people have wrote in the search for little Lyric and Elizabeth.

I start my day on this frosty morning in the UK, with a very heavy saddened heart.

I think any water would be of interest in photography. Falls even better. Bridges too. Just my thoughts. I don't think the CO guy, Speers is connected for some reason yet. Not convinced to even connect him here. I don't know why btw.

I thought of him because IIRC he had ties to the midwest at some point and traveled. But I don't disagree w/ you!

I'd bet thats whitewater from spring flooding.

He came to mind earlier, but I couldn't find anything to indicate that he was in that area at that time. He certainly did get around, though.

I think someone drove into the area west of here ... at least that seems the most like to me

I haven't ruled him out yet in my head.

I wish I had time to go search for when he had his summer 'breakdown' and allegedly started losing it, and reread the victim's account of being taken and maybe photographed.

Obviously I have no idea who did this, I just wanted to bring him forward just in case. I don't want to detract from the girls being found though.

I was following that Cody Wyoming case for awhile, and someone discussed this case in that thread, because that guy was on a road trip during the time the girls went missing. It was mentioned that he might have been in the area as he was camping out.

Except ... the murderous photographer, Speers (thx), photographed barren landscapes - cold and empty. The river is so rich in colour and movement. There are beaver, muskrat, mink, great blue heron and all sorts of life along the river's edge. I looked at Speers work and there was nothing alive in his work ... cold, barren, empty, lifeless. I doubt that there is a connection between this case and the 11 year old girl that was left in the mountains NW of where Jessica Ridgeway was abducted. As for bridges, it looks like some are missing ... road is there, but no bridge.

Thanks ... so in July the water would be a little slower, but I doubt that it would be any safer. July 13, a Friday afternoon, when it was hot and muggy in Evansdale ... did he offer to take the girls to a cool place to have a swim? Did he suggest that they leave their bikes where they were found so their parents would know that they went for a swim ... better to ask forgiveness than permission scenario?

Did they talk with someone at the end of their street and decide to meet him at Meyer's lake?

I hope someone remembers something about that day ... someone that was in town that weekend and mentioned going to that park

I had thought about him before, but now it really doesn't seem likely. If the girl in Cody had been first, I'd definitely think he should be checked out more. I just can't see him letting her go if he had already killed two other little girls. MOO

I WISH that surveillance cams kept their film on hand longer than a few days or weeks. Because they could take film from the area the girls were found and compare it to the video of where they were bike riding, and see if any of the same vehicles were present.
