Just curious what made you think that? She goes to school in a different city and bf does not attend IIRC. I was in a relationship with my HS bf during college while he was back home and lived with roommates, not him. I am not seeing anything off about that. MOO.

The school is only an hour's drive away from her hometown. I 'm not sure why it struck me odd.

Do you recall where you read that it was a pink sports bra ? because I just saw that here today. It's actually quite strange, imo. I also wonder if M. was one of a very few people who ran in the town in the evenings ?

I had mentioned the pink sports bra because I had read it somewhere, though I have no idea where at this point as I've read numerous articles. If they, or possibly I, got it mixed up and it was actually a pink TOP not a bra, then my apologies.

I’ve seen it in articles both as a black sports bra and as a pink sports bra or top. This one says “pink sports bra.”

Totally confused whether there were two neighbors or not.
But also confused as to why I've read both black sports bra and, the latest, pink sports bra. What changed and who said what?

Nobody has - to my knowledge - ever said it was a pink sports bra.

Someone in this thread called it that, but news reports have only said - at first - a black sports bra, but then later revised that to say a pink sports top. They did not say 'pink sports bra'.

At least that's all I've seen.

Thank you. Still, somebody saw black and somebody saw pink. Could be that she changed (from black bra to pink top) before leaving the house again but that would depend on the timeline. Speculation, which I'm really good at, only adds to confusion.

It was a neigbor, in a comment on the sheriffs department facebook post.

To me, that could be any workout top- not necessarily a sports bra. Again, the reporting has been a little inconsistent.

I attended school an hour away from home, too. We only moved in together and I commuted my senior year because I got pregnant. Otherwise, still wouldn't have moved in together. Not seeing anything odd about that personally but statistically many HS relationships end during college years. It could be possible she was moving in a different direction emotionally. *shrugs*

The Des Moines Register (Iowa's biggest newspaper) has an interview with the Jack boys. In it, Blake says he had suggested to Dalton the idea of proposing to Mollie during the wedding trip.

I though that was interesting. The article mentions it in passing and doesn't indicate anything about whether Dalton considered the idea or not. But for me it slightly raises the (still-unlikely) possibility of Mollie needing a break and disappearing on her own. She's so young, and anticipation of a potential proposal is a lot of pressure at age 20.

She went running every night. I imagine she wore different color sports-bras on different nights. That different neighbors reported seeing her in different colored sports-bras is to be expected. Eyewitness reporting is highly fallible, subject to error, misremembering. I don't think the two colors matters at all. I do think her running in a sports-bra matters, however, as this may be what drew the perp's attention to her.

RSBM. This has not been confirmed anywhere that I’ve seen.

I hope that this wasn't a rumor that I accidently started. I know that several times, I've offered as a theory--that if Mollie had more than one person who took her to work, on a: "I'll call you if I need you" basis--that might explain why there was no one puzzled that she was a no-show, in the morning. But that's just a theory--not based on any solid facts.

Also, she does not seem at all like the kind of girl who might just "run away". She seems very family-oriented, grounded, responsible. She snapped her boyfriend lovingly that night. There are no indications of unusual behavior on her part in the days or weeks prior.

This three-hour phone conversation with her dad mentioned above, though: does anyone have a link to an article that states that? I don't remember seeing that.
