I’m sure that’s right and it angers me too. Smoke and mirrors. I still want to hear them explain how he led them to her body, but I imagine they never will even address it.
The defense attorneys’ idea of justice is to try and get a murderer off scot free. No thoughts of Mollie and her family.
He was framed by the cops...

Yates: "I think what you're getting to depends on what evidence, if any, the defense presents" "You may well be...set up on rebuttal to address what you're concerned about. I don't know what else I can do in terms of getting out in front of it."@KCCINews #BahenaRiveraTrial

Judge Yates says the prosecution may be able to rebut the defense's argument that CBR falsely confessed later on. He will not allow the evidence for now but says that ruling may change.

Romero says CBR could have left at any time before 11:30 pm when he was put into custody by ICE. She says she showed him the exit and even jiggled the lock to show it was unlocked.

Romero says it was made clear early in the interview CBR was there to talk about Tibbetts. "We, again, started showing pictures of the surveillance camera we had. [...] I had a poster/flyer of Mollie. I laid it in front of Mr. Rivera and he told me he'd seen them around town."

Romero is excused after reiterating that Bahena Rivera confessed to her he carried Mollie out of his trunk and leaving her in the field. She also reiterates that he told her "I brought you here." Prosecution not allowed to enter evidence of him actually leading police to field.

Pretty stunned that it appears CB didn’t attempt to clean obvious blood stain off car exterior above license plate. And left bloody fishing gear in trunk. And here all this time I thought defense’s claims of low IQ was just a legal tactic...o_O

The rubber seal above the rear license plate also tested presumptive positive for blood.

Phone & fitbit were never located. Body had shoes, socks & pink sport bra (reported early on by witnesses that saw Mollie jog that night). Black shorts, underwear & pink band of fabric (possible headband) were scattered elsewhere in the cornfield 15-34 ft away.
