There was absolutely no eye contact or interaction between CBR and his attorneys at any after the verdict was read, including when CBR being handcuffed and escorted out of the courtroom.
I thought that was a bit strange too. The verdict read, court adjourned, the attorneys packed up and headed out. You'd think they would give him a hug, tell him "we'll keep working" etc, give him some comfort, something. Nope.

Agreed. Despite all the stories about him being a good guy, a jokester, etc, he appears to really be a heartless entity. Quite possibly a psychopath. He isn't capable of seeing the world the way we do. Though we see this all the time, I will NEVER understand how someone can commit a crime like this.

Unfortunately -- CBR being the jokester, good family guy is what makes him and every other predator like him so very dangerous. These individuals are good company, fun to be around -- easy to let your guard down around them until they pounce and nobody will suspect them -- allowing plenty of time to clean/rid themselves of any incriminating evidence.

I will always wonder how he approached Mollie that dreadful day. Did he causally stop, greet her, and driveway -- only to circle back and attack her from behind. There's evidence that Mollie knew CBR's former g/f that graduated a year ahead of her (MT posted on her FB). While I don't think Mollie knew CBR, I think she probably knew of him. It would be hard not to in a town of 1400 residents.

ETA: I think maybe it was HEAVY but there was a MSM source that published a screenshot fb post by Gamboa where she's in distress, and of course Mollie was the first that responded by offering help/support. So typical of what we came to know of Mollie, and what makes the small world even smaller. For all we know, maybe CBR was the cause her turmoil at that time. MOO

Waking early here from Australia to hear the Verdict.
Just wonderful, as worried after the Casey Anthony case.
Now, to enjoy these happy posters, after the long wait for trial.

Yeah they treated him like a red headed stepchild!
Even hung the Ninja story entirely on their client in the presser!
Oh girl , we saw how you LED your client down that road. Pfttt..!

Their claim that they wanted it to be his testimony in his own words was a lie as well. He didn’t actually testify except to say yes to the statements Mrs Frese was saying.

Your post/response is 100% true. The ripple effect is massive and isn’t going away anytime soon.

However…the one person responsible for the whole thing….nodded his head. Without a tear, without a word, or even a facial expression. I dont think anyone could convince me he cares….even for his own families feelings. CBR only cares about CBR. That came through today loud and clear if we all were questioning it before.
That was the only time I saw him respectful, when he nodded in acknowledgement as the verdict was read.

I don't think he cares much about his family either, other than what they think of him. It's interesting that apparently not one person in his family, or anyone at all, was in the overflow room for the defense to watch the trial.

He circled around six times in his car. It was not a conversation. I’d expect it to be pure sexual harassment. IMOO

Yes, because of CBR's stories, and the evidence-destroying month spent searching for Mollie, we, and more importantly her family, will always be left with a lot of unanswered questions about July 18, 2018.

I believe that there was another girl that was harassed by CBR while he was driving his car. It was not admissible in court.
Correct. And I am not certain, but I seem to recall if was AFTER Mollie went missing. If that is correct, that is REALLY scary.

I agree @Seattle1 !

I do feel with his fake masked men scenario, he was able to fill in the alot of the gaps that we were wondering about. I think a lot of that is true because that's exactly what he did

My opinion as well. He either got out and had a quick volley of sexual harassment comments(in his mind it’s picking up a girl) and she responded defensively as one would expect and then he attacked quickly….or there was no words exchanged at all and he just pounced on her(per say). I have no doubt it could have only been one or the other. This is a violent sexual predator. Their tactics while brutal are very straight forward.

100% agree on his “story” being the semi truth of what went down. Can’t say it’s out of guilt, or even pride of his sadistic actions or maybe even some subconscious psych stuff. Regardless it’s was one of those “if I did it moments”. Not all truth….but a good chunk of it was….this is what I did…but once again. It wasn’t me ;).

I actually think there might be more truth in his original confession (minus the black out). I think he thought he was busted and was willing to admit all but the sickest details. I go back to the fact that he had other counsel at the beginning. Did that guy come up with the masked men? Or did he convince CBR that he needed to come up with his story and stick to it? Who knows.

I'm curious whether the family has sent, or plans to send, another child to work illegally in the USA.

"Bahena Rivera's aunt, Alejandra Cervantes, testified for the defense that her nephew was sending money back to Mexico to support his parents and siblings there.

"He was the one who was sending money so they could eat. He was the one sending money so they could build a house," Cervantes said.
Trial for man accused of killing Mollie Tibbetts: Key takeaways from Day 5
Since CBR was the only male - I don't think it likely. He testified he had two younger sisters.

Did investigators interview her? Did they say why it wasn't admissible? I would think it would have been relevant to the case.
They did interview her. But that would not be admissible. It is a separate incident and can't be used to imply he did the same here. Sometimes you can this evidence in if you can show a consistent pattern of behavior. But since this just one other incident, that isn't enough. I'm sure CBR did similar things to other women, but we just don't know.
