Not trying to be the jury, here. I've come to this site to read, post comments, and most of all to learn.
Was planning to search this, but if anyone knows this off the top of their heads, so to speak : In order to declare people suspects, there HAS to be more information than what we've read on this sleuthing site or other news sites, correct ? There must be more information than just an 'assumption' about inconclusive polys.

My opinion is that they have enough info. to charge DK and JM -- evidence that we aren't privy to.
At the end of the day, I believe we all want justice for a little tyke whose life was barely started. :(

Marking my spot, there was alot of catching up, since the new statements today by LE. Been following since little Deorr went missing. And I always hoped his mom and dad were not involved, although I saw red flags throughout. I am going to continue to follow this through, little Deorr needs answers, what ever they be.

If you want to be precise or accurate, this what the Sheriff said today about DK & DM:

http://www.ktvb.com/story/news/crime...ance/79301014/

Bowerman says portions of polygraph tests administered to Kunz and Mitchell have come back inconclusive - including questions about knowing what happened to DeOrr, why the child disappeared and where the toddler is located.

Interestingly, if this is exactly what the sheriff said, the inconclusiveness is easily explained away. They may not know what happened to DeOrr Jr., why he disappeared or where he is located. Why the surprise?

Very important parts IMO

My interpretation is that if You truly do not know where your child is...it would not be inconclusive..you absolutely do not know, same with what happened to him..If you dont know then you dont know, not MAYBE or inconclusive but thats My opinion.

RSBM Snipped for Brevity

Ikr ?
Doubtful this was an accident-- if DeOrr is deceased...... why conceal the body ?
Even if he perished due to a hot car or drowning --why not just call 911 and say what happened ?
IMO

MOO, I've wondered if lil Deorr had illegal drugs in his system. Say they gave him a sleeping aid, etc. Something that the parents knew would show up in an autopsy. Or if his body had more than normal bruising etc, the parents would have to account for. They had a reason to hide his body, whether it was an accidental death, or homicide.

The pair are not under arrest, and no warrants have been issued. Bowerman said he has met with prosecutors, the FBI and the Bonneville County Sheriff's Office and plans to take his time and make sure the case is solid before bringing charges against Mitchell and Kunz.

"We don't feel that the arrest is imminent, but we're leaving all options open," he said. "We don't want to jeopardize the investigation and charge them too early, for fear that we might find DeOrr and it might change."

There's more to it.

“It’s time to let the public know that mom and dad are being less than truthful in two aspects: if they know what happened to DeOrr or if they know where he is. We believe the parents know where DeOrr is,” he said.

The statement by the sheriff comes shortly after a fundraiser by the family in which monies were to be funneled to a private investigator who later issued a news release saying he believed the case could involve an accidental death or a murder.

Bowerman said his decision to come forward with questions about the couple’s truthfulness stemmed in part from well-meaning strangers contacting him to ask if they should donate money to the family.

“I’m not saying ‘don’t donate’ to people. I’m saying I have concerns and that’s the information I feel they need to know to make that decision. It’s very important for the public to know that,” he said.

So....are we jumping the gun here? They haven't been charged yet, right - just named as POI. It seems like LE felt compelled to warn well-meaning people not to donate money. If the donation thing hadn't come up, LE probably wouldn't have released their statement today at all. Am I understanding the situation correctly (I'm playing catch up after a long absence).

Perhaps there really isn't movement in the case itself, but just a sheriff who doesn't want people bilked for their money. ??

What I hope happens next is one or both parent come clean with what they know. I know, wishful thinking.

So I am guessing Deorr is not in the campground at all. Somewhere else entirely. You wouldnt let LE and all those people search someplace if you knew he was there right? So where would they have put him and why did they have to hide him in the first place? BTW I don't think he is alive, if he was then why go through all of this ?

Black truck. Snake River. "Had to drive 1/2 mile to get a signal." "Had to go to Leadore to get supplies." "We were 50 yards away." Did I mention Snake River?

I've wanted to be able to say this on here for so d@mn long: DK wasn't impressed by the search & rescue equipment - he was proud of himself for hiding little D so well.

If they truly didn't know, the results would probably not read as inconclusive. I have a strange feeling that they were not inconclusive but rather showed deception and after the FBI did its analysis which concluded the same thing, it was time to name them as suspects.

JM & DK are suspects now

The parents have been elevated from POI status to "officially named suspects".

from:
http://www.eastidahonews.com/2016/0...ruthful-are-suspects-in-childs-disappearance/

DeOrr Kunz Sr. and Jessica Mitchell were officially named suspects Monday in connection with the child’s disappearance. Previously, the parents had been persons of interest in the case.

"Thank you" just isn't enough for this statement! So thank you, thank you THANK YOU!" And if he is in the Snake River, DK knows he will never be found.

Well now, I hadn't thought of that one, but that's possible. I suggest a search possibly by hmm snake river? Also somewhere between the convenience store and the campground, an out of the way area off the road. Maybe I will google earth that area again.

Geez have the parents been charged, tried and convicted in the last four hours? From the comments here it sure would seem that way...

No, that's been happening in the public for six months, we're just only being allowed to talk about it here for the last four hours. Finally!!!

Respectfully SBM - Excellent post TeaTime!

I do feel he kept the public informed as best he could. He gave many clues like when he "named' the 4 POIs (he didn't have to give them that distinction), called the FBI in, mentioned about poly potential problems "analysis don't always agree", re-interviewing, sending behavior analysis away and physical evidence away for testing. He played it very cool, but he did keep the public abreast of the investigation. He stated he didn't believe it was an abduction, mountain lion and believed he would have been found if he had drowned or gotten lost. He told us about the dogs & not find scent. It was up to the public to put the clues or pieces of the puzzle together. He did a great job in balancing the suspects and keeping the public informed IMO. I totally agree a great guy & Lemhi County is well served.

I think the most important piece of information he gave was when he said "I am 99% sure DeOrr was at the campground." Which also meant "I am NOT 100% sure DeOrr was at the campground."

Bowerman said polygraph tests were administered to the four known people who were with DeOrr when he disappeared. These four people were the boy’s parents, his grandfather Robert Walton and family friend Isaac Reinwand.

Walton's and Reinwand’s polygraph tests came back inconclusive. But Bowerman said authorities were expecting that because Walton and Reinwand had undisclosed health problems known to affect polygraph results.

However, Bowerman said the polygraph tests indicated that the boy’s parents were not being upfront with some of the authorities’ questions.

There's an earlier (today also) article. I and several others posted the link shortly after the news broke. That's where Bowerman says all four of them had inconclusive polygraphs.

InTheDetails - they are now named suspects, no longer just persons of interest.

I anticipate they will have legal counsel by tomorrow.

GP Kunz is in denial that his son could be involved in the murder of his own son. I get that. Like Rueben Ebron's mom, no one wants to believe their child could be so evil.

I also want to add that as SB is naming them as suspects and stated that he is hoping to find the body so as to get the charges correct, if they hope to convince people it was an accidental death, mommy and daddy better tell where to find DeOrr so they can prove accident. Otherwise, they may find themselves facing 1st degree murder charges.
