Yes. A news helicopter flew continuously over the area on Feb 14.
All personnel and vehicles were concentrated between cemetery and creek. None further up behind RLs.

The helicopter footage drives me crazy because I so badly want to aim the camera towards where I want to look, which is almost never the direction the camera guy shoots. Oh well...

I do wonder if the hill behind the cemetery was really the easiest access to the entire wooded area south of the road. Maybe the rest of the property's hillside is too steep? Just one thought...

I would agree it could be possible, but the activities are in the creek below the cemetery, in the woods below the cemetery and on the creek bank directly across the creek.

It looks like it’s only about 2 hours from Delphi. The initial assault is very different....leading the victims away in Delphi vs trapping from behind and immediately punching and kicking here. It is interesting. We need a break somewhere. Why not here. Thank goodness her dog was with her.

Just released, Indiana State Police received an anonymous donation of $100k to the Delphi reward fund, brining the total to $325k. The reward is for information leading to the arrest &conviction of those responsible for murdering Abigail Williams and Liberty German.

This is a link to the RTV6 video. Beginning at about 25:00 there’s several emergency vehicles parked at a property. Isn’t that the residence at the end of the driveway?

I agree that at the time of this video, LE parking was primarily the cemetery, Mears, and the south private drive. It appears W 300 N is blocked at the intersections east and west, as would be expected. From the footage, I cannot see any activity in the woods. Am I missing it? The creek is being searched from upstream to downstream as the footage rolls. My best estimate on where they are in the water the first time we see them is maybe directly below Weber's house, which would be upstream from the assumed crime scene.

Firstly, we don't know how long the water had been searched or where upstream they started. Secondly, I think there's a good chance that footprints showed them crossing the creek where we all assume, anyway, so it is part of the overall crime scene and likely an important spot for evidentiary reasons.

I don't know what to think. I'm keeping an open mind to the fact that we know so very little.

I sure hope this makes a difference but it’s hard for me to see somebody for the past four years sitting and thinking “$220,000 just isn’t enough. I’m not ratting this guy out until I can get at least $325,000!”.

It might not be about wanting someone to come forward at this this point with this amount - it might be more about rattling BG into paranoia that he is about to be caught (which, I believe he is!). Imagine how freaked out you'd be if there as this bounty on your head, and a huge target on your back? Maybe he'll see this and his behavior will change (he might get more moody, angry, drink more, use more drugs, slip into depression, hang himself....) who knows? But I bet the second he learns about this, he's going to crap himself for the millionth time since he committed the murders, knowing... they're coming for him, and they're not just going to forget about the girls!

I agree, I’ve never believed the video to be conclusive of anything specific, although it’s been discussed a lot. We don’t know the exact time it was filmed, but in general I’ve noticed the media reporting on this case has been very tactful and respectful from the very onset IMO, perhaps due to the fact the victims were both minors. I’m guessing there was an agreement in place between WTV6 and LE in allowing them airspace to film portions of an active investigation and so who knows, the video may’ve been vetted by LE in advance to the public release.

I hope everything you say here comes true!
But...after four years I don’t think he is scared at all about opening the door to a slew of police officers one morning. LE tried rattling the killer big time two years ago at the April press conference to no avail. I also don’t see how this can be a LE tactic when it was donated anonymously.

I agree, unless a potential tipster has requested a larger potential reward in advance to coughing up whatever they claim to know. If so I think it’d be well worth taking the chance the tip might be valid and upping the reward IMO.

I hadn’t thought about this scenario. I guess that’s possible. Nothing really to lose. If the potential tipster is right, we’ve got our killer. If they’re wrong or playing games, they’re not getting the money.
It’s a weird idea but this case has gotten pretty weird.

I love Beacon. It has a 2016 option that is winter and one of the best for viewing the landscape, imo. Not to mention all the layer choices and property records. Well worth a look.

At 17:37 of this video, there is what appears to be several camera flashes near the left side of the screen. I realize that this is proof of nothing. I just found it kind of interesting. I'm not sure if y'all were already aware of it. I discovered it last week when reading the u-tube comments on one of the helicopter videos. I think a comment also claimed seeing a white van in the same area, but I can't see a van.

It is kind of difficult to tell what area the flashes are coming from, but I think it is in the general area of the crime scene tape.

Again, these "camera flashes" don't really mean anything because I think it's safe to assume that "something" happened at the crime scene tape area. I just don't think I had seen the flashes before.

It's at the end of a driveway but not the driveway to the house at the end of the road. The abandoned railway runs right along that property and I thought following that would be a good way for BG to exit the area. He would end up on W 200 N and about 1/2 mile from Hoosier Heartland Hwy.

I saw that you used it on your map and I thought "Where the heck did they get that from??" So I started looking.

Ok, I've been studying the video from the chopper for the better part of an hour and I've noticed a few things that might be useful....

1. There were cars parked at the cemetery, and at a private residence (at the beginning of the video, before they show the cemetery).
2. If you watch carefully, people have said you can see the flashes from CSI cameras going off to the left of the screen around the 16/17 minute mark (you can, but I'm suggesting, this isn't what you think!).
3. Why not? Those are likely camera flashes, yes. Someone was probably photographing something of significance in that area - footprints? clothing? Other items of interest? Unsure. But watch very carefully!
4.

Watch at 18:24. You'll see a police helicopter along the right side of the screen. Pay attention to the surroundings. The police chopper is over what I think is a tent covering the girls bodies / crime scene. If you pay attention, you can see a white tent under the police chopper at that time mark or just before.
5. Notice the area? I've matched in google earth and made some circles around land marks for reference:

A) red circle: police chopper and a V shape of some sort that seems to be the ground? I believe a tent or tarp is covering the bodies (or evidence) under the police chopper in the V shape.
B) Blue / green circle of trees (same trees I think are visible in the news chopper that is recording the police chopper / general scene).
C) Yellow line: main road that shows a property at the left side? Police vehicles were parked there as well. Confirm this by the white long rectangle building to the left of my line, also visible in the footage from the copper....

I now think that is where the girls were actually found, OR other significant evidence. Anyone have any thoughts on this? I measured in Google Earth - its about a half mile from the drop off spot, AND... there is an area where they could have been found about 50ft from the edge of the creek on that side. Plus a big sand bar (?) that may have made crossing easier.

I like Beacon too as it places the location of the road and private driveway (if selected, to the left of the map) whereas it’s almost impossible to notice on google maps because of the trees.
