I don't think LE gave an estimate. People are assuming around 5'8 based on photo.

I could be wrong about LE, but I don't think they said.

Jumping in with a response to a question/comment from a poster in the last thread, related to an astute post Foxfire (RIP) once made, on the Hannah G. thread concerning serial killers, cemeteries and trees, found it!!

I have learned to never underestimate the motives or antics of a sadistical psychopathic sexual predator/serial killer.. They have a reason for everything they do and everything they say, imo.. No coincidences... Once JM used his innocent victims up and took their lives.. He may have temporarily shown a semblance of remorse..

There are Cherokee Indian, as well as many other legends associated with the cedar tree including superstitions, and religious connotations. Cedar Trees, Death, and Cemeteries go hand in hand. This may very well be why MH's remains were placed at this specific location, imo. Many times there are family cemeteries in rural farming areas near old homesites. They are marked with cedar trees. Unless, a historian, familiar, or a native to the area, one would not recognize these old cemeteries over time due to nature taking them back. Many times rocks with info scratched on them were used as headstones.

Guess, what I am trying to say is that HG will likely be located near an old home site family cemetery, marked by cedar tree/s, for JM revisiting the burial site.. JMO

If someone knows the width of the bridge rail ties, we could get an estimate of height from the images of him on the bridge. Take his image (original and unskewed) and compare to the slat he is walking on.

Looking at the suspects photo makes me think he has an issue with his gait. I wonder if he has a weird way of walking, kid of like how Isreal Keyes had a unique stride when he walked. If the guy is some sort of laborer he may have issues walking, especially if he hasn't a jobs where he's standing for long periods of time. My opinion only. Sorry for the rambling, I'm on my phone and morning used to typing this much on it.

DELPHI, Ind. (WTHR) - With a storm approaching on a windy Friday evening, officers from area police agencies walked the Monon High Bridge Trail, getting familiar with a crime scene that's part of a national manhunt.

A group of teens gathered near the bridge, too, wearing custom-made plastic bracelets and tee shirts bearing the message "Pray for Delphi" on one side and "Abby and Libby" on the other, in remembrance of two teenagers killed her a week ago Monday.

The shirts were made by the sister of one of the victims.

"It's really sad, honestly," said one teen. "Just to know that it happened to our community. Everyone would just come out here to get away, clear our heads. And now it's just... you come out here and it's very sad and emotional."

But young people want to reclaim the good that was here before the evil that came 11 days ago.

"It's kind of like closure, sort of," she continued. "They were out here, last seen here. Walking on the bridge, you're not physically with them but mentally you feel like you're with them.

According to FBI spokesperson, Wendy Osborne, a State Search Warrant was executed Saturday afternoon on a home on Canal St. in the city of Peru.

After conducting the search, the Federal Agents determined that the home has no connections to the deaths of Liberty German and Abigail Williams.

Aww...I hope you feel better soon! But, I totally understand what you mean. I have a sick little one, atm. I am spending my day giving cuddles and trying to stay caught up. I have never been consumed with a case like I have been with this one. And I have followed true crime cases for years.

If Libby's grandfather was right, and she did indeed put up a big fight with the POI, then somebody somewhere has seen this guy with bruises and/or scratches. Also, if she let him have it (so to speak) and his wounds were visible, then we can probably rule out a local who, say, went right back to work in the school system or in an office. What makes me hesitate with this line of thinking is that I knew a lady who got thrown by a horse she was training, ended up with bruising from neck to waist, and just wore top-to-bottom clothes around the house so her husband wouldn't find out. He never knew. So you can hide a lot with clothes and some makeup.
And I keep coming back to the fact that this guy either has a female in the house who takes care of shopping, cooking,etc., or he gets an awful lot of things delivered to his house in order to avoid going to the store. You can practically live forever via Amazon's food/home section. I hope that LE has checked on the frequency of such deliveries in the area.

The name of a man who lives at the Peru home on Canal Street had came up during the ongoing investigation into the homicides of 14-year-old Liberty German and 13-year-old Abigail Williams, said FBI Special Agent Bob Ramsey.

After conducting the search, however, FBI do not believe the man has any ties to the case, he said.

"We in no way believe he is connected to the murder of those girls," Ramsey said.

I agree, it looks as if he is pivoting and either heading straight toward the girls (if they were close together), or veering around Abby who was directly in front of him and towards Libby....OR, was cutting around Abby to get in front of her and accost her......

Hope you get better soon. I'm still in the hospital battling an infection so have been here much of the time also.
