Also, there is the new DNA process called "Snapshot" If you have DNA of the perp, but their DNA is not on file for example, this new process can create a colored photo from that DNA.

I actually interpreted it the opposite way, that it was a passive-aggressive "dig" at someone who has rejected his offerings. Like the way someone would say "oh I pity this person they have this problem; I'm praying for them" when in fact the person who's being rather sanctimonious is the one with the problem.

I've seen many suggest that the stills released by LE of BG may be the only visual recording they have of him - that Liberty most likely dropped her phone into perhaps her sports bra etc. However there is a quote from the press conference where LE released the audio that continues to nag at me. Carter said:
"Imagine what that must be like, it's generally and very well likely will be one of the last things these ladies and gentlemen see for the rest of their lives before they go to sleep".

I have a sense that he isn't referring to the LE seeing literally just the man walking on the bridge every night...perhaps Carter isn't referencing what they saw but instead what they heard...except then why use the word "see", why not "hear". This is what leads me to believe that there very well may be more footage. Of course they are going to play things close to the vest and I'm by no means suggesting that they release more at this point, btw. But it does seem to suggest the existence of more footage, and in my opinion of course probably pretty gruesome, for him to make a comment like that. Anyways. Thoughts?

Every time I about jump in I am so far behind! So I hope that I am not bringing up things that have already been discussed. A few things that have been on my mind worth bringing up:

The fact that they are still leaving room in statements for more than one suspect.. I wonder if they do believe that there was another person there, but I wonder why, if they did, that they would hold that back? Could that really be just to be on the safe side or just incase?

Thinking about the area, It really makes me think that if there was another suspect that they'd have had to stay in the car (if any) or stay a distance away from what was happening for the police not to find plenty of footprints to paint the picture…

I actually checked out observed weather and precipitation for the days leading up to the murders and the week after and will add a link. It is frustrating because every site I tried to find observed weather history for Delphi all refer to one weather website where the closest location that it will show is Logansport. It is only 22 miles away though.

My point with the precipitation though is that the ground had to have been moist even away from the water. It shows that it rained or sprinkled just a little bit on the 11th and even less on the12th, but the ground would've been soft. It didn't rain for the following week so any other footprints should've stayed pretty perfect. : )

I keep coming back in my mind to the fact that that bridge attracts some amount of "tourism," I'm not sure how much, but I did find on Google where there had been guided hikes of the bridge and trails. I found on websites where people had a lot of knowledge of the bridge and whole area and had posted photos. These were "Bridge Hunters," or enthusiasts and just outdoorsy people too. I actually emailed a few tips related to that. If someone was interested I can find it again.

Another thing…That loop thing above his shoulder is definitely a "hydration pack" or else something that looks absolutely exactly like how the tubes on those things look. I saw someone else had said it, and I definitely agreed with it.

I wouldn't totally discount it, I know men in their 70s who are still capable of strenuous physical activity. I thought the voice sounded older when I first heard the recording, but the more I hear it, the less sure I am. I don't believe the man on the bridge looks that old, but they aren't sure the man talking is the same person anyway. MOO

Exactly, maybe a visited or stayed with relatives for the summer as a child. I like the idea of looking through obituaries or recent property transfers due to an inheritance.

Because of the lift of his knees, I think he was moving at a good speed; possibly the girls heard him coming up on them. I would guess, based on Gray's placement of him and the girls, he was probably about 100' away from them in the pics.

Or, since Abby was behind Libby in the first pic, I thought she might be going slower... a little tentative, and she might have been behind Libby all the way across the bridge. Maybe Libby turned around to say something to her and that's when she realized the BG was coming.

Maybe the girls did try to run but one lost her footing on the bridge. A foot and leg could get really wedged between the railroad ties. MOO...

I pray every night that this monster gets caught soon.

Maybe I've been thinking about this from the wrong perspective. Is it possible that they encountered him before they were on the bridge and they were able to take a couple of photos after they were his captives? That would mean that they did not see him from a distance on the bridge, and did not take the photo prior to being in danger, but were instead able to sneak photos/video of him after they were in trouble.

Based on LE saying that Libby is a hero because she had the presence of mind to start taking video, I assume that they already felt threatened to some degree when the video was made. JMO

I wonder whether Liberty filmed him (became concerned) because she began to suspect that he might be carrying a concealed handgun.


The possibility of a handgun was not clear to me from the still photos that LE released.


However, the GIF that someone put together made it jump off the screen: as the light and shadows shift between the 2 photos I can clearly see what appears to be the outline of a gun inside his jacket on his right side (our left side of the photo).


I don’t know much about gun laws are in Indiana, but a quick internet search suggests that a permit is not required to purchase a handgun, but a license is required to carry a handgun (concealed and open carry).


How common is concealed carry in the Delphi area (or even in Indiana)? What would a typical local reaction be?

I actualy thought I had seen him once about ten years ago sillybilly. I was at a hotel and had gone out front to the parking area to say goodbye to a friend that was catching the ferry. This guy was hanging outside and when my friend drove away I was walking down the sidewalk back to the front of the hotel to the lobby and he started following me. There was a side entrance into the pub so I made a beeline for that. Once inside I walked through to go to the lobby and could see him pacing back and forth in the lobby. Creeped me out the likeness. Looked just like the aged enhanced balding photo. I had the bartender phone the police and it turned out not to be him...just some guy waiting for a ride. He's probably dead now...well I hope so...but often wonder how many more crimes he is responsible for.

I've known people like that and while you *can* have "arm's length" relationships with them, anything closer is utterly exhausting and very abusive -- for the most part the narcissist truly has no clue that they are the one with the problem, which is why they are so difficult to treat. Even if they wanted help they just can't clearly see their own behavior.
