True. The article could have that Souder misspelled and have left off the S. as far as TS, I'm just going by her fb page since I would think she would spell her last name correctly herself. However, name in article about 3 young girls and the mother being charged with knowing the abuse was going on could be wrong spelling for the perp.

What does the probable cause affidavit say about the day he threw the body parts away? I don't remember anytime mentioned.

Also, do we have any statements as to when that dumpster was regularly emptied? I know it was Christmas weekend, but I'd still like to know.

What if it was emptied on Saturday? That'd make MP's statement untrue re:cigar run and dumping.

Have the jiffy store owners said anything about that?

It has been reported by numerous MSM articles that Tarah moved to Ft Wayne to take care of her ailing father (RSO Lemmon). Then in Aug 2011 MP returned to help, too . . .

prior to moving to the trailer park in Ft Wayne, it appears she was working in PA (Alianha in school in MD), and prior to that IA (Alianha in school in IA), and prior to that ???

I'm confused on this because I thought it was stated early on she moved from a residence 11-12 miles from the trailer park. Did she move to the trailer park from IA or did she move to the trailer park from somewhere in or near the Ft Wayne area?

Good points. I have thin walls in a multi family property and I can hear all kind of things outside, including car doors which close much further than 30' away. I can hear the resin chair fall over if it's windy outside. I find it hard to believe anyone would not fall over to the ground if hit upon the head and find it hard to believe someone would not hear something fall to the ground.

It's possible at the time the murder happened the general rule was 'what happens in pedo park, stays in pedo park'. LE has not said that witnesses have not come forward after learning about Aliahna's murder and spoken to them about what they saw or heard. It also wouldn't surprise me if some of the convict/RSO's who came forward to speak to media on MP's behalf might be saying so publicly but are saying something entirely different to LE behind the scenes. Not because they are afraid of repercussion from MP, but they wouldn't want to be known in the neighorhood as a rat.

This is not said to diminish the severity or horror of the former, but it is an important thing to understand, and something that LE is well aware of (which is why they can so often quickly interview and dismiss them).

This is a topic that is very sensative, and one I hate to even raise as the horror of this particular crime haunts many posters here, so I won't go into it in any depth. I will simply say that what Mike did is likely as horrifying to many of the RSOs who live there as it is to us. Perhaps, in some twisted way, more.

FWIW Last night on NG - she asked the Sheriff if the dumpster was at the same store he went to get the cigar and the sheriff said yes - same store.

Also, evidently the store has cameras (that article that said LE was caught on the camera hauling the dumpster away) - so, going from that, LE probably already had him on camera getting the cigar and probably making a quick stop by the dumpster to "toss in a few things" on the way out. ITA that the detectives knew this and confronted him - asking him what he was throwing away and all - he had no where else to go - so he confessed. I also don't believe the brick story on the front steps either.

These poor kids. I wonder how many schools they've been pulled out of and how many friends they just started to make and then lost due to being uprooted.

I know in some cases families have no choice, for work, to move. But I have yet to find a reasonable explanation as to why this family moved so often. :cry:

I have a friend whose sister does this to her 4 children- moves frequently. It's all about her. She benefits in some way - ALWAYS. In her case - new man, new best friend - just fill in the blank. No matter what the cost to the children. Self-centered doesn't begin to describe it. And the children pretty much have raised themselves - and they're JUST like her. :banghead:

In the current case, I suspect it's a spin on the same theme. Someone benefited. I can't see moving into a den of RSO when you already lived near enough to provide care to your ailing father. If your child has already been abused by men in some way, would you let ANY of your children out of your sight?

NO - yet this family squatted in the midst of a neighborhood of drugs and SO. Then in the biggest mistake of their lives - sent 3 young girls to stay with a 39 yr old man with questionable background, no job etc... and one of the girls doesn't come back home.

I think more will be revealed as time passes. JMHOO

yes, it appears that MP was also in IA during the same time TS was in IA (MPs court case & TSs City Council request)

Yes, some of the possibilities have not been discussed. It's just too much to put in words. I hate even typing the scums initials here, I keep wanting to refer to him as "dust", which he should be returned to, IMO.

I just had a terrible thought. It occured to me Aliahna may have been trying to run out of that trailer to run and tell her mommy she and her siblings were being abused. ...and he caught up with her just after she exited having to strike her to keep her from making it home to tell someone.

I pray all three were not awake when this happened. Lord, how I pray the other two siblings were asleep when Aliahna was attacked. :cry:

Couple of questions:
Have police collected the brick? (Not doubting that it was MP...just doubting anything MP says because, well, he is a killer of a little girl)
Why were the kids staying with him?
If it is true that he had the kids at least since Tuesday, that would mean he murdered Aliahna less/more give or take within a day of collecting her? Who in that trailer park saw her? the other kids? When did the family see the kids?

I remember that 911 tribute where the firefighter was describing the people falling from the higher floors of the twin towers...and listening to the crashes as they hit, and he says he looked up and wondered, "How bad does it have to be up there that the better option is to jump?"

I do NOT believe that the options were as poor for the family in this situation. I won't until I see actual concrete proof that this mother had NO other options. I won't. I doubt I will see that. It boils down to choices. And very badly mangled ones. JMO. I am ****** off at TS, her mother and pretty much that whole family. My rage level has already gone over the limit for MP.

speaking of ss checks, i notice lemmon died the same day he received one. would that check be expected to go back to ss or would mp be able to keed the cash from that one?

I am on SS and actually, the SS check that is received in December is payment for November, so no that one would not have to be returned and is probably on direct deposit into his account. He shouldn't get any future checks, however, if he does...those will have to be returned.

I'm gonna say he wasn't because both the men were "caught by police" according to DS. Surely he wouldn't be free to kill this soon had he been one of the IA perps.

I have been searching for 2010 news stories and blotter/arrest records for the area hoping to find something that sounds like it could be a match, but so far, no luck. I'd really like to find the names of these men and see if there are even MORE hinky connections.........

this happened to me this year . . . my mother's SS check was rescinded the month she died since she passed prior to the 15th of the month; then 3 months later her Estate received $ for the month she died PLUS bonus $$ for heirs (none of us are dependents or have been for 25 years).

It was free $$$ to us

But nonetheless, it would NOT go to MP (he may have access to the funds, but . . . )

Now you got me wondering did LE look at the camera view from the outside camera when they looked at the camera view from inside buying the cigar?

Just makes no sense they left that dumpster there till Monday night if they knew it was a crime scene before.

Has anyone besides me wondered whether the mom/stepdad/MP/grandpa (before his death) were involved in "lending" the girls out for the sexual gratification of RSO's? It could explain the previous abuse in Iowa, as well as the PTSD. It could explain why the mom was willing to move to a community of sex offenders & why no one was checking up on the girls while MP was "babysitting" them for a week, and it could explain why some kids remained at home while the three girls were sent to MP's place. Maybe MP expected to have a week of "fun" with the girls & Aliahna gave him a hard time & fought him, so he killed her. Then he had to hide the body & come up with a story, so he enlisted the help of mom/stepdad because they would have known they were doing something wrong by lending the girls to MP for sexual gratification in the first place, so they would have been very willing to help MP avoid getting caught; thus, the fake story about illness & the defending of MP to the media before he confessed.

I don't know, obviously, and this is all pure speculation not based on any fact or news article. It's just an idea that's been rattling around in my head, so I thought I'd toss it out there and see if anyone else has thought about it, too, or if I'm out in left field trying to make sense of a completely senseless crime.

Regarding the dumpster and whether LE checked it on that Friday night/Saturday morning...I'm sure they did. But at the time they were looking for an intact little 9 year old girl. Do they really open every small bag in a dumpster during a search where they have been told that the child left the home on her own free will? Do they automatically assume that the missing child's body parts could be in small pieces in freezer bags and likely grocery or small trash bags in a dumpster?

As for calling off the search on Saturday/Christmas Eve I'm sure it was just a matter of lack of manpower. While they had people available who were scheduled to work the holiday, it's unlikely that they could get enough people to form a decent search party Christmas Eve/Christmas Day. I believe it was stated that the regular patrols would continue to be on the lookout in the area for her.

Did you read somewhere that he got the check on the 3rd? The 3rd used to be the day for everyone to get their social security check, but that has since changed and several dates have been added because it became too many to all be done on the 3rd. I just know from my previous banking experience.

Also, from my experience with my grandmother and great-grandmother, NO, Social Security requires that money back immediately. Social Security somehow catches people trying to hang on to a relatives soc. sec. check after they are deceased, by somehow linking up to the death certificate. At least this is how it's worked with my deceased loved ones.

Don't know about the regular "dump" schedule as I'm miles away in California, but from what I understand....there is video surveillance of MP at the convenience store. Early on it was used to corroborate his original story. Now, in light of the fact that her remains were found in the store's dumpster...it just makes him look like a <Mod Snip> (And probably makes the prosecutors v. Happy!)
