Lou Johnson, Delano's cousin, said Wednesday that she and the rest of the family were shocked by Willie Wilson's arrest. She said they did not have any inkling that Wilson might have been responsible for his son's disappearance.

"We're hurt. We couldn't believe it," Johnson said. "It doesn't make any sense. It really doesn't. If it's true, we want to do something to him. If you did something to the baby, justice should be served. "

Johnson said Delano's mother is distraught about the news.

"She lost her baby," Johnson said, "and she's about to lose the man that she loved."

I have typed and retyped a reply to the poor mother being distraught and everything I write comes out ugly so...I will just leave how I feel about her feelings alone. (For now at least.)

Despite her reservations, Hamilton said Perkins stood by Wilson’s side. His arrest Wednesday was painful for the family, but it also gave them some closure. And though prosecutors believe Delano is dead, his family just wants him found.

“We want him back, that’s the bottom line. If Willie has to go down for it, if he did it, like I said that’s up to him and God now,” said Hamilton.

are we to believe that WASN'T Taniashia Perkins positively identified coming out of the woods and climbing over a guard rail (WITH a man positively identified as Willie Wilson) on Holt Road between 10am and 10:30am on the very same day she gave LE a vastly different account of her whereabouts that morning...

In light of what she's told the media?

She must REALLY think the public and LE is incredibly stupid.

I read this thread right before I went to bed and haven't been able to get to sleep, thinking about that little baby. But that's okay. Someone needs to lose some sleep over him. It's obvious the most effort his parents put forth for him was hiding his little body.

I am really sick of women who prioritize men over their children. A message for all those women-If you want to put your man as a priority over your children, don't have children!

I think mom helped dispose of his body. She may not have been the killer, and I'd be willing to be she's gonna flip on dad for immunity or a plea agreement.

I don't know how she couldn't!!!! She knows where HER BABY is, dead in the ground somewhere without the dignity of a proper burial. How could a mother continue to live with that secret on her heart?

I agree, but we've seen cases where family is in complete denial despite mountains of evidence. I think back to one of her first MSM statements about just wanting to see her baby healthy again. I'll have to go back and find that info.

Right, a leisurely stroll in the woods they forgot to mention to LE they were on, while they lied about where they were that morning and what they were doing. As for why she hasn't been arrested... GOOD question. I can't even begin to imagine the reasons they haven't arrested them BOTH, based on what was in that PC statement.

I do agree though that they need to get back out into those woods and keep looking until they find him. He's there somewhere. Or at least, evidence that he was there (I can't imagine what animals could have done to him in the last 5 months). UGH.

I hope if she got a plea agreement it includes her giving up the location of Delano, then I hope they charge her with murder instead of just as an accessory. I'm fuming.

I can not get over how many witnesses there were involved. Neighbors, people driving by, cameras, etc.
