Czech motorized paragliders in the hands of Hamas.
They were used during the attack.
Hamas terrorists who carried out an attack on southern Israel on October 7 used the company's motorized paragliders manufactured by the Czech company Nirvana Systems from Přerov - media reports.
The owner of the company, asked by the Czech portal for a comment, noted that he had
'no idea how the machines could have reached terrorists from the Gaza Strip'.
Czech-made equipment is visible in the videos
showing the Hamas attack.
According to the Czech portal UANI, the American conservative organization United Against Nuclear Iran was the first to contact the company from Přerov, but it responded only after an inquiry from the Security Service.
'I have no idea how the machines could have reached the terrorists in the Gaza Strip.
We have sold a total of 3,500 powered paragliders around the world and over 5,000 parachutes.
It is understandable that we do not know all customers, we have dealers in Israel, as well as in America, Germany, in a total of 42 countries',
said the company's owner in a telephone interview.
Nirvana Systems does not have a partner company in the Palestinian territories, but has cooperated with an aviation school in Tehran in the past.
Its name appears on the website of the Czech company,
the portal wrote.
The contractor moved to the USA, and the website has not been updated since the pandemic, the owner explained.
He noted that the photos show parachutes from various companies, and
only the product from Przerov had the logo.
UANI also pointed to another business partner of Nirvana Systems, PPGMAX Ltd. based in Budapest.
According to American activists,
this entity serves as an intermediary for Iranian clients.
When asked whether the company would adjust its export policy after this experience, the owner of Nirvana Systems replied in the negative.
Moreover, according to Global Combating Terrorism,
'there is clear evidence that
Hamas members were trained to operate powered paragliders in Malaysia, where Nirvana Systems is represented by Air Ventures in Kuala Lumpur.
Hamas is not on the terrorist list in that country.
'Of course, I will not sell anything to anyone if I suspect it will be used for terrorist activities or military purposes'
- assured the owner.
The Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade stated in information sent to the local editorial office that paragliders, as sports equipment, are
not subject to sanctions , unlike equipment intended for military purposes."
