Neither do I. Rather, I have a feeling that people living under what is essentially a Mafia presence quickly learn that:

1. HAMAS / IRA and opposing Protestant UDL, UVF / Narco groups / Wagner Mercenaries, The Gambino Family, Crips etc. "Do what they are going to do".

2. Showing too much interest in the things they are doing will not do you, your patients,- or, your families any good.
Agreed.
It could be a mixed bag ?
Some hard liners, and others who choose to stay and help, but are appalled and secretly working against Hamas ?
Wouldn't that be something ?
I hope they're courageous enough to slip a note to the Israeli soldiers, or whisper to the IDF what's really happening.

Raiding Gaza’s Shifa Hospital
Israel will likely mobilize special forces to storm Shifa due to site’s sensitivity & expected resistance; troops will enter from several directions in pinpoint operation to minimize casualties. After initial takeover comes phase 2...

Once hospital is secured, IDF will go after Hamas command centers in tunnels below; engineering forces will come in to probe tunnels with specialized tech gear before deciding on entry; number of Hamas terrorists in bunker unknown at this time.

I'm sure they will record it all, but I hope it's VERY clear so the naysayers can't accuse them of fabricating things.

I can't think of a single reason why Israel would surround hospitals and attempt to get civilians out if they didn't have very good intel that said there was something under it and people hiding in it. WHY? Makes zero sense. IF they were heartless, they would just blow it up and be done with it, but they aren't. They are trying to get everyone to get out of there so they can go in. Yet many still say Israel is bombing the hospitals and targeting ambulances and shooting people looking out windows. WHY would they do that and then in the next breath give warnings and try to evacuate people?

What makes a lot more sense to me is HAMAS is in there, they are controlling the narrative that is coming out of there and they are using media to push the idea that Israel is shooting them, bombing ambulances, and just trying to.... what level the hospital?? Why?? So people in Gaza won't have a hospital? Ridiculous. Israel has far better things to do than to play games outside a hospital, if terrorists are elsewhere causing problems.

Imagine wanting to destroy a people so badly that you risk the lives of newborn babies by hiding out and running your war from a hospital. Oh and then you use that to gain favor with the world. Terrorists now look like the good guys because Israel must want these babies to die?

Perhaps they already have. That is something I would hope would NOT become known by any media or talking heads. They would need to keep that quiet.

Abdel Aziz al-Rantisi

Anyone know if Rantisi Hospital was named after him?

More digging. Yes it likely is. He was a pediatrician.

He worked at Nasser in Khan Younis. (Not to be confused with Nasir which is located with Rantisi)
Nasser in Khan Younis is named for Gemal Nasser.

Rantisi was built in 2019 by US NGO Palestinian Children's Refief Fund.

I think there will be a growing number of such people as the Hamas' real and "ever present shadow" control over Gaza is dwindling by the hour.

They wont be passing such notes because they want to cooperate with IDF per se, affirm Israel, nor because they think the IDF are good guys. Rather, the notes will be passed because the Palestinian passers think its in the best interest of the Palestinian people.

He was the co-founder and leader of Hamas, also. Fitting to name a hospital after him.

Abdel Aziz Ali Abdul Majid al-Rantisi (Arabic: عبد العزيز علي عبد المجيد الحفيظ الرنتيسي‎; 23 October 1947 – 17 April 2004), nicknamed the "Lion of Palestine",[1][2] was a Palestinian political leader and co-founder of Hamas, along with Sheikh Ahmed Yassin.

Rantisi became Hamas's political leader and spokesman in the Gaza Strip following the Israeli killing of Hamas spiritual leader Sheikh Ahmed Yassin in March 2004.[3] Rantisi opposed compromise with Israel and called for the creation of a Palestinian state (including the whole of the State of Israel) through military action against the Jewish state.

On 17 April 2004, the Israeli Air Force killed al-Rantisi by firing Hellfire missiles from an AH-64 Apache helicopter at his car.
