It seems like each hostage has a different story. Sounds like they're kept all over town. Creepy...

Uncle of Israeli hostages Or, 16, and Yagel, 12, says heard terrible stories from them, they were drugged and treated badly

Yaniv Yaakov, the uncle of Or, 16, and Yagel, 12, who were released from Hamas captivity on Monday, told N12 news channel in an interview that "Two days ago we got the children back, they were released and told us about what they experienced in Gaza, terrible stories. "

"One example is that they took the leg of each child taken hostage and burned them with the exhaust of a motorcycle to mark them in case they ran away, so that they could find them. They were drugged, they were treated so badly, but they are with us," he said

ETA: MOO: I wonder if something similar happened to Yuval Engel's leg?

Father of Ofir Engel, 17, who was released from Hamas captivity on Wednesday, says he returned healthy, talkative and telling stories

analyzed their surroundings and could make out what was happening. They estimated there was a ceasefire, they were able to understand from the noises they heard."

Yoav says that Ophir told him that they were more worried about their parents than themselves

During his captivity, Ofir was shifted between five different houses, but he was neither blindfolded nor kept underground. Despite the ordeal, Ofir remained unharmed and is now safe and back with his family.

More cheering by civilian Palestinians for Hamas as it parades Israeli female hostages in Gaza.

(Terrifying. As if they haven’t suffered enough)

I’m not understanding how this is supposed to be safe transfer as arranged by Israel authorities. Can it not be arranged for them to be dropped off somewhere else. Is Hamas insisting it go down this way. This is confusing to me. Grrrr.

This mob mentality is the most frightening thing. People getting swept up in a crowd, influenced by a few, resulting in deindividuation and turning into a violent mass.
Aldous Huxley wrote about this horrifying phenomenon in Devils of Loudon.

“In the document distributed this evening (Thursday) by the terrorist organization Hamas, Jordan, the father of the Biebs family, is seen from his place of captivity, when he reads a message that was apparently dictated to him by his captors. In the message, he refers to the rest of his family as dead, this is in continuation of the psychological terror message published by Hamas last night. Recall that the IDF said that there is no verification of Hamas' claim.”

Copied by me. Whoa. Not that anything these barbarians do surprises me.

They're Hamas propaganda. Hamas says it shows that the hostages are supporting them and that they have lots of supporters in Gaza. Have you noticed how the hostages wave good-bye to Hamas with smiles and then shortly look sullen? I bet Hamas told them to smile and wave good-bye etc.

Maybe Hamas told them to smile and wave to assure they won't harm the remaining hostages. Whatever it is, it is propaganda.

With the sound fully on ... notice how the enraged and excited crowd screams louder when the hostage is taken from one vehicle to another ?
Almost like carnivorous animals smelling blood. :(

“However, the efforts failed, following the refusal of the terrorist organization on the issue. Jordan was kidnapped separately from his wife and two young children. Shortly after he was kidnapped, photos were published in which he appeared to be injured in his arms and legs.

In light of Hamas' claims, Israeli intelligence assesses that there is no possibility that the family was killed in air force strikes.”

IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari says the military is ready to resume fighting in the Gaza Strip if the ceasefire agreement with Hamas is not renewed for another day."At this hour we are progressing and awaiting the release of additional hostages who are due to return as part of the agreed-upon deal," Hagari says.He says that overnight, the IDF "insisted" on carrying out the current deal with Hamas, in which the terror is set to release the women and children it is holding hostage."We will do so tomorrow as well. The mediators, Qatar and Egypt, are also obligated to carry out the deal, so that the ceasefire can continue," he says."The IDF is ready to resume the fighting. We are prepared to attack at any hour, tonight as well," Hagari says.

‘Utterly barbaric behavior…all part of Hamas’s domestic propaganda’Says
@YaakovLappin, a military and strategic affairs analyst, @MirYamInstitute
after videos of the hostage transfer to the Red Cross in Gaza show Hamas terrorist parading hostages in front of a cheering crowd

Not just barbaric.

This public parading of Hostages (& POWs) is actually a WAR CRIME.

Are you surprised?

Article 13 of the Third Geneva Convention (relative to the Treatment of Prisoners of War) states:

“Prisoners of war must at all times be humanely treated. ... Likewise, prisoners of war must at all times be protected, particularly against acts of violence or intimidation and against insults and public curiosity. Measures of reprisal against prisoners of war are prohibited.”

Go figure. Intersting that this is happening, yet nary a peep from the ICRC or the UN yet again. And BOTH orgs clealry know that these are blatant violations of those Conventions; heck, the ICRC even links to them on their main page ... right at the top of the right hand side.

Following the Hamas announcement regarding the change in the status of the Biebs family, Arab networks claimed yesterday that there was growing tension between the various factions in Khan Yunis in the Gaza Strip.

It is now speculated that the reason for the tensions between Hamas and the other factions in Khan Yunis focused on the 10-month-old Kafir and the 4-year-old Ariel Bibs after, according to the Palestinians, Sinwar demanded the factions hand over the family members to him and refused.

I doubt anyone would refuse an order from Sinwar, but who knows anything. Hamas and PIJ supposedly work together, but maybe there is a conflict as related to strategy and who is top dog, etc.

What stands out to me, is that without the help of the countries' populace, this might have been able to be resolved sooner, and the hostages rescued before now ?
(If Hamas had had the only option to gather them all into one tunnel or place, etc.)

Also curious if the people who are assisting to hide the captives are representative of the wider population of Gazans who are in agreement with Hamas ?
Frightening.
Based on the evidence at hand, it sounds like many are in agreement with the terrorists.
The Gazans really can't claim --either now or later-- "we detest Hamas , we refuse to cooperate, and want nothing to do with them".
